사회적 측면에서 본 프랑스 로코코 가구의 특징에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of French Rococo Style Furniture in the Social Phenomena)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine losely how the Rococo style, which reached its summit in the history of French furniture, was realized in its social background and mode of life. Based ion this examination , this study will explore desirable directions for developing our domestic furniture design. For this purpose , existing literature will be referred to and analyzed to arrange into a new system. Rococo furniture style was the product of joyous and aristocratic living . This was based upon the historical development of French interior design, established by the national mode of Versailles Palace. Hereafter, royal style came into fashion paralleled with the luxuries of the court. Pursuit of new , interesting or beyond-expectation fashions encouraged the creation of new and imaginative forms and designs . The elegnant taste of customers, the new techniques of furniture manufacturing , and the unique sales strategies of merchants were social phenomena which contributed to the development of Rococo furniture. Furthermore , Louis XV`s private and personal life led to society`s pursut of comfortable and convenient living . Under these circumstances, small and cozy rooms for various uses came into the interior. Accordingly, the scales of furniture became smaller and any types of furniture with their own uses and feminine nature were manufactured , especially by the bnistes. Rococo furniture with fmine beanty and refined line, beatifil proportion and elegant sculpture, and solidity and clarity in general , is not only furniture for the use of man, but also furniture in harmony with man. As we see the stages of development and the characteristics of Rococo furniture, development of Korean furniture is a common task which can be accomplished through the participation of the designer, manufacturer, seller and consumer. Based on this co-operation , the furniture industry must make an improvement in furmture design, lestablish a permanent store in which new works are displayed. publicize activities and sales, promote exhibitions and seminars, and encourage technical development through the government and other interested organizations.

실업계고등학과 실내디자인 전공 교육과정 개선방안 -대학 동일전공과의 교육과정 비교.분석을 중심으로- (Improvement of Interior Design Major Curricula at Vocational High Schools -Focused on the Comparative Analysis with Interior Design Major at Colleges and Universities-)

  • 본 연구는 실업고 활성화를 위한 방안의 하나로 실내디자인 전공 교육과정의 문제점과 개선방안을 제시함에 목적이 있다. 실업고, 2(4)년제대학의 교육과정이 각각 분석.비교되었고, 실업고 재학생, 교사, 업계 종사자를 대상으로 설문을 실시하였으며, 수집자료는 빈도분포와 백분율로 통계 처리되었다. 연구결과, (1실업고에서 전공교육의 비중은 왜 높았으나 실내 디자인과 직접적으로 연관된 교과내용은 그리 많지 않았고, 홍미도와 중요성에 따라 실내디자인 전공 교과서의 활용도를 더 높이되 공업계.상업계 교과서 중 실내디자인 관련 부분을 발췌.사용하여 전문성을 높이는 방안이 강구되어야할 것이다. (22년제와 4년제대학의 전공이수학점 수는 비슷하였고, 2년제가 실내디자인실기.컴퓨터디자인.표현기법 등 실무를 위한 교과목 비율과 중요도가 매우 높은 반면 4년제는 전공실내디자인 비율이 특히 높고 연구능력함양, 전공특화를 위한 교과목이 개설되어 있으며 전공선택의 폭이 높았다. (3실업고를 대학과 비교한 결과, 실업고는 대학과 근접한 교육을 지향 하나 전문기능인 양성을 위한 체계성.전문성이 부족하므로 실내디자인과 관련이 적은 교과목을 실무와 실기능력 함양을 위한 교과목으로 대체하는 것이 바람직하다. (4실내디자인 업계 종사자들은 실업고 학생들에게 CAD, 시공업무가 가장 적합하고 실업고 특화를 위해 이 과목들과 실내디자인실기와 가구과목 등이 강화되어야함을 밝혔다. 위의 조사를 토대로, 실업고에서는 대학과의 차별화, 산업현장과 학생의 요구를 반영한 교육과정을 수립하되, 현장연계교육과 자격증 취득을 위한 교육이 강화되어야함을 제안하였다.

  • 본 논문은 일반적인 창문의 개념을 혁신적으로 변화시킨 D.I.Y. 목재 창문 시스템 개발에 간한 것이다. 사용자의 필요에 따라 주문 제작이 가능한 D.I.Y. 시스템을 기본으로 다양한 사물의 속성을 나무 프레임을 가진 창과 결합하여, 채광과 환기를 위한 창의 기본적인 기능을 유지하면서 동시에 새로운 심미성을 가진 미래지향적 창 디자인이다. 제한된 규모와 형태 내에서도 사용자의 필요에 의하여 공간의 효율성 증대 및 다양한 기능을 수용할 수 있는 가능성을 제공하여 안에서나 밖에서나 즐거운 시각으로 창을 바라보게 한다. 또한 나무 플임은 모듈로 되어 있으므로 가변성을 고려한 규격화된 부품을 카탈로그와 연계하여 대량 생산 할 수 있는 가능성을 지니고 있다. 미래의 창문은 보기위한 중간매개체 역할 뿐 아니라, 미래지향적인 창의 디자인과 기술을 재정립하여 사용자 스스로 기본 요소들을 조합하고 분리하여 수납공간, 생활 가구 등의 기능이 활용된 개성 있는 Window를 연출 할 수 있는 것이다.

시스템 디자인 연구 : 가구제조회사의 서비스화 실제 사례 중심으로 (Product-Service Systems Design Approach : Servitization of a Small Furniture Manufacturing Company)

  • Service elements are added to the product to improve the company it its sales and innovation. The servitization process could take many different routes reflecting various properties of the manufacturing firm and its business contexts. Product-service systems (PSS) design method developed at Sungkyunkwan Universty, Service Design Institute, has been applied to a small furniture manufacturing company to demonstrate the utility of the method and to devise improvements. First, the business context of the company has been analyzed and key values have been identified. A co-creative session has been conducted to develop initial service concepts to drive those key values. The diverse positioning of those service concepts on the scale of service supporting product and service support customer is then developed to plan servitization phases. The specific service concepts are about company-customer relationship building as well as customization and personalization in this case. Initial service concepts are detailed with service blueprint so that prototyping and customer experience evaluation can be done. Business models in different servitization phases are designed. Further prototyping and customer experience evaluation has been done with business strategy improvements. In this paper, the proudct-service systems design method has been reviewed and the specific and real processes of the servitization using design will be described with discussion on the improvement of the method and the enhancement of the business.

자동차 인테리어의 인스트루먼트 패널 디자인 경향 연구 (A Study on the Instrument Panel Design Trend for Automobile Interior)

  • 1990년대 초까지 자동차 제조사는 인테리어 디자인을 중요하게 생각하지 않았다. 주로 설계, 구동방식, 크기 등 기술적 구조를 체계화하기 위한 시도를 중점으로 발전을 거듭하였고 단순히 의장디자인과 비교하면서 인테리어를 개발하였다. 그러나 1990년대에 이러한 상황은 바뀌기 시작하는데 이유는 소비자가 차안에서 보내는 시간이 많아지면서 고객에게 편안함을 주고 기능적으로도 만족할 수 있는 기술을 개발하려는 의지를 보이기 시작했기 때문이다. 인간이 자동차 안에서 어떻게 하루를 보내며 사용하는지 관찰하고, 그 결과 인테리어를 새롭게 하는 트렌드가 무엇인지를 고려하는 즉, 전략적으로 브랜드 아이덴티티를 갖도록 인테리어의 개성을 강화하고 소비자의 감성적인 부분을 고려하는 사용자 중심의 가치관 전환을 가져온 중요 요인이 되었다. 오늘날 자동차 인테리어 디자인 은 다양한 요소 변화를 반영하는 컨셉트카를 매 해 선보이고 있는데, 향후에는 감지기능과 네비게이션 적용의 무인주행을 실현시킬 수 있는 첨단 기술을 반영한 디자인 적용이 미래 디자인의 핵심적 트렌드로 제기되고 있다. 또한 제품디자인, 패션, 가구 등 타 분야에서의 직접적인 영향으로 인테리어 디자인인의 다각적 컨셉트 적용을 시도하고 있는 현 시점에서 객관적인 관점으로 시대적 배경에 따라 자동차 인테리어 디자인 변화와 조형적 특징을 조사, 분석해야 함을 강조하고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 시대적 배경과 자동차 인테리어의 흐름을 크래쉬패드 중심으로 비교하여 다변화(多變化)하는 기술적 중요 요인과 함께 향후 자동차 인테리어 디자인 방향을 연구하고자한다.

신도시 설계의 개념을 고려한 가로 시설물 디자인 프로세스 방법에 관한 연구 (Study on the Design Process of Street Furniture Considering the Given Concept from a New Town Planning)

  • The main objective of this study is to explore methods to generate and develop its design concept of the discord generated due to this by deeply considering the existing design concept of a new town or site planning. In particular, in case when designers participate in a process of planning new town, this study aims to reveal methods generating design strategy and basic ideas for designing street furniture through cases study of projects by understanding and analyzing concept of overall space planning and by developing direction for deployment of specific designs. First, further concepts of the space planning, which decides overall flow of visual design concept of street furniture, is extracted through analyses of basic concepts of space design with doing Focused Group Interview among designers and planners. Then, by applying 3V Design Process, alternatives of the concept generation are suggested through methods of storytelling and visual language under the two approach methods of verbalization stage and visualization stage. Also its process were explored through suggestion of designs by developing each idea of the respective concepts into specific design vocabulary.

실내디자인에서 Object의 비일상성 연구 - Nigel Coates의 초기 상업공간작품을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Non-everydayness of Interior Object - Focused on Nigel Coates' Early Commercial Interior Design -)

  • Contemporary society maintains mass-product system that keeps endless cycle of making and consuming. In this vein, everyday life becomes to be under the control of function and efficiency. On the contrary, the people are getting to have a desire of escaping from this everydayness, that is, the desire for non-everydayness. British architect, Nigel Coates understood the potentiality of contemporary metropolis which produce new experiences through their heterogeneities. During 1980s, Japanese economic bubble provided rich nourishment to the desire for non-everydayness based on consumers' tastes. Nigel Coates snatched this phenomena and designed commercial spaces aligned to the non-everydayness. He shows very eloquent version of escaping sense. We can find the exquisite quality of non-everydayness through design vocabulary of object's form and arrangement. In the viewpoint of object form, Coates adopted classical statues of Greek, that is antique, and modern gadgets such as airplane wings and seats. Also, we can find abundant gestures of curvilineal contours throughout the objects he designed. As for the objects' arrangement, he introduced repetition and curved composition that can stimulate human interaction with interior scape.

  • King Muryeong reungeseo Foot-rest on the subject of the king excavated a USB memory design. Foot-rest of the form and the meaning of patterns were expressed on a USB memory. Meanwhile, the USB memory could not be seen in the case of natural wood material by using the age and the individual tastes of consumers represents USB memory into the merit of portability, necklaces pendants items for restoration, phone strap, key chain, etc. By combining the functionality increases. Meanwhile, on the basis of a practical item, the largest issue was the consumption of cultural products by maximizing the economic benefit of the community and at the same time a symbol of cultural heritage items have been transformed into the effectiveness of the national image enhancement is expected to be achieved.

공간개념을 적용한 벤치디자인 개발 연구 (A Study on Bench Design Applied the Concept of Space)

  • Space dominates all the art activities human do and plays a role of providing aesthetic emotion. Architecture, sculpture, painting, and furniture, etc. these two and three dimensional works are represented in space and interpreted the role of its form, structure and function. Each area is different, but space has been studied in philosophy, physics, geometry, and mathematical studies, etc. and has been consistently interpreted and represented relating to a variety of human creative activity. Furniture is also three dimensional art being dependent on space. In the United States in 2004, I made the living room bench by applying the spatial concept at Rochester Institute of Technology. Two years later, this design was adopted by wendell Castle Collection, an American furniture company, then prototype were made and tested three times during a year, and then since 2007 as indoor benches it has been manufactured in the United States. The study's purpose is to order the process of its development based on the experience of bench production applied the spatial concept, and by analyzing the properties of spatial concept, I am planning to propose a new concept on interaction with the space and furniture for next.

와인 장식장 디자인 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of the Wine Cabinet Design)

  • As wine culture becomes popular among the people in modem society, the consumption of wine has increased due to the need to enjoy wine at home. Nonetheless, the development of wine cabinet has not made much progress. In order to compensate such matter, a wine cabinet that satisfies the taste of new generation as well as the need demanded in the modem living space is transcended its simple and solemn image embedded in wooden colored form, which is often found in existing products. First of all, the definition, kind, bottles, and glasses of wine are examined and then a cabinet is developed depending on the design process. The body of the wine cabinet is finished with black lacquer after attaching ash-patterned veneer on MDF and the front plate of the drawer is finished with the colors displayed in Mondrian's painting on MDF. The upper part is designed to store wine glasses and below the wine rack is the space for wine storage considering the overall shape. The storage at the lower part is equipped with drawers of different sizes to emphasize practicability. In conclusion, such a unique design is believed to introduce the importance of design to the domestic furniture market being a foundation for the furniture industry.
