Implications of Feed Withdrawal in Broiler Meat Safety and Quality (출하 전 절식과 닭고기 안전성 및 품질)

  • This review is summarized the importance of feed withdrawal treatment before slaughter based on the related recent research literature. Practical feed withdrawal program is required to prevent from carcass contamination when broilers are slaughtered. The feed withdrawal is more important in countries where regulate the microbial contamination. The feed withdrawal treatment for broiler has also advantage to reduce the carcass contamination from intestinal tract at slaughtering plant. Most researches were conducted to focus on proving the feed withdrawal effect on the efficiency of slaughtering and processing, proper duration and safety of broiler carcass. However, it is pointed out that the feed withdrawal programs are different depending on the production capability, feeding and slaughtering methods, inspection regulation of each country.

  • Textile machinery affects various industry, such as sport leisure industry, metal and chemistry material, electric electron, mechanical energy, packing and printing industry. In case of design of textile machine, the very important fact is absorbing the minute vibration induced by spinning thread and insert which is the part of spindle plays a role of reduction of impact caused by oscillation of thread bobbin. Therefore, Optimal design was executed by design of experiments and kriging optimal design methods to prevent fracture of spindle insert under the fatigue condition and deduced the best value of design parameter to improve the stability of the products. The highest sensitivity is showed at the design parameter A and D. As the spiral number of insert is increase, tension force applied its edge is distributed at whole model and the stress concentration is reduced.

Elastic Interactive Shear Buckling Behavior of Trapezoidally Corrugated Steel Webs (제형파형강판 복부판의 탄성 연성전단좌굴 거동)

  • Corrugated webs have been used for composite prestressed concrete box girder bridges. Innovative steel plate girders using corrugated webs have been proposed. It has been found that analytical and experimental researches conducted to determine the strength of trapezoidally corrugated webs can fail with respect to three different buckling modes: local, global, and interactive shear buckling. Shear buckling capacity equations based on classical and orthotropic plate buckling theories have been proposed,but these equations show some differences. In this paper, geometric parameters that influence interactive shear buckling behavior with interaction effects are identified via extensive bifurcation buckling analysis using the finite element meth.

  • Various separation techniques of antimicrobial compounds from food materials have proven to be ineffective, involving liquid-liquid extraction and chromatography. We established efficient separation procedure for partially purifying antimicrobial compounds from Korean leek. Separation procedures consisted of ultrafiltration, liquid-liquid extraction, TLC and HPLC. Molecular weight of antimicrobial compounds were less than 5,000 dalton. Major compounds were propenyl methyl disulfide, S-methyl methylthiosulphonate and dimethyl disulfide.

Dry Sliding Wear Behavior of Carbide-Particle-Reinforced 7075 Al Alloy Matrix Composites (탄화물(SiC, TiC, $B_4C$ ) 입자 강화 7075 Al 합금 기지 복합재료의 건식 미끄럼 마멸 거동)

  • 무가압침투법으로 제조된 부피분율 10~24% SiC, TiC, B$_4$C 탄화물 입자강화 7075 Al 합금 기지 복합재료의 건식 미끄럼 마멸거동을 강화입자의 종류, 크기 및 부피 분율을 변수로 연구하였다. 미끄럼 마멸 시험은 pin-on-disk 형태의 마멸 시험기를 사용하여, AISI 52100 베어링강을 상대재로 상온 대기 중에서 실시되었다. 마멸특성의 분석과 마멸기구의 규명을 위하여 마멸면과 마멸단면을 SEM, EDS를 이용하여 분석하였다. 제조된 복합재료의 압축 시험을 통하여 측정된 항복강도와 가공경화지수는 서로 반비례하였고, 각 시편간의 경도 차는 크지 않았다. 마멸 시험결과, 크기 및 부피 분율이 7$\mu\textrm{m}$ !0%인 SiC 입자로 강화된 복합재료를 제외하고, 전체 복합재료 시편은 7075 Al 기지 합금에 비해 낮은 마멸 속도를 보였다. 10N 이하의 저하 중에서는 강화상의 종류와 상관없이 복합재료는 낮은 마멸 속도를 보였고, 25N 이상의 고하중에서는 TiC 입자강화 복합재료가 가장 낮은 마멸 속도를, SiC 입자강화 복합재료가 가장 높은 마멸 속도를 나타내었다. 강화 입자의 크기 및 부피 분율이 동일한 경우 SiC 입자로 강화된 복합재료가 가장 낮은 내마멸성을 나타내었다. 강화상의 크기 및 부피 분율이 증가함에 따라 미소 마멸에서 격렬 마멸로의 천이 하중이 증가하였다.

  • Recently. the efforts for the development of DVD concentrate on the high storage and multi-media. DVD has been manufactured by assembling many parts and it causes the vibration and noise. In this paper, one body rotor is proposed, which can make the nose and vibration be decreased. The injection mould for DVD rotor is designed by finite element analysis and the rotor is manufactured in the mould. The magnetic flux density is measured on the surface and it is compared with the design criteria.

  • Due to the modem MEMS technologies, the electron lenses that are used in the microcolumn can have much smaller optical aberrations compared with conventional electron lenses for the bulky electron columns. Since the electron lens system have great effect on the performance of the microcolumn, it is important to study the dependence of image quality on the configuration of the electronic imaging system, among which the source-lens part is most sensitive. In this work, we investigated the electron beam characteristics according to the shapes of extractor and limiting aperture that are elements of the source-lens part. By analyzing the data obtained, we proposed the optimum configuration of the electron lens system.

Setup Planning for Machining processes Using Expert System Approach (전문가 시스템 접근법을 이용한 기계가공용 셋업계획)

  • Setup planning for machining processes is a part of fixture planning which is also a part of process planning. A setup of a part is defined as a group of features which are machined while the part is fixtured in one single fixture. Setup planning includes a number of tasks such as the selection of setup, sequence of setups and datum frame for each setup. Setup planning is an important function in fixture planning which must be able to support and to clamp a workpiece to prevent deflections caused by machining and clamping loads. This paper presents setup planning system using expert system approach(SPES) for prismatic parts which can be machined on vertical milling machine. SPES consists of preprocessing module and main processing module. Preprocessing module executes the conversion of feature data to frame type data and the determination of setups, and main processing module executes the determination of datum frame of each setup and sequance of setups. Preprocessing module is coded by C language and main processing module is a rule-based expert system using EXSYS pro. The performance of SPES is evaluated through case studies and the results show successful work except for operation sequence of machining holes. This is due to the limited rules for machining holes.

  • Wear mechanisms may be briefly classified by mechanical, chemical and thermal wear. A plane strain finite element method is used with a new material stress and temperature fields to simulate orthogonal machining with continuous chip formation. Deformation of the workpiece material is healed as elastic-viscoplastic with isotropic strain hardening and the numerical solution accounts for coupling between plastic deformation and the temperature field, including treatment of temperature-dependent material properties. Effect of the uncertainty in the constitutive model on the distributions of strait stress and temperature around the shear zone are presented, and the model is validated by comparing average values of the predicted stress, strain, and temperature at the shear zone with experimental results.

  • 본 논문에서는 22.9kV 고압 가공 배전선로를 고속 전력선 통신을 위한 통신 채널로 사용하기 위하여 전력선 통신 주파수 $2MHz{\sim}30MHz$ 대역에 대한 특성 파라미터를 해석하였다. 먼저 고압 배전선로에 주로 사용되는 ACSR-OC 케이블에 대한 구조를 분석하고 이의 특성 파라미터로부터 분포정수와 특성 임피던스를 구하였다. 또한 등각 사상법을 이용하여 유전체가 코팅된 평행 2선식 고압 배전선로의 정전용량 및 유효유전상수를 계산하였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 고압 배전선로의 분포정수와 특성임피던스를 구하였으며, 특성임피던스는 케이블 단면적에 따라서 $470{\ell}{\sim}530{\ell}$ 사이의 분포를 나타내었다. 특히, 특성 임피던스는 지면을 완전 전기도체로 가정할 경우에 비하여 실제 지면의 도전율과 유전상수를 고려할 때 20MHz 이하의 대역에서 보다 높은 값을 갖는 것을 확인하였다.
