  • 본 연구에서는 국내 중소기업에서 생산된 교복용 편사의 물성을 측정하여 현재 교복용으로 사용되어지는 국내 기업과 일본에서 생산된 편사와의 물성을 비교 분석하였다. 또한 국내 중소기업에서 생산된 편물과 시중에 판매되고 있는 교복용 편물의 물성을 비교 분석하였다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 본 연구는 고부가가치의 교복용 소재를 개발하는데 필요한 기초연구를 수행하는데 목적이 있다.

Removal of Fe from Metallurgical Grade Si by Directional Solidification (일방향 응고에 의한 금속급 실리콘 중 Fe 제거)

  • Solar grade silicon (SoG-Si) has been commercially supplied mainly from off-grade high-purity silicon manufactured for electronic-grade Si (EG-Si). Therefore, for wider application of solar cells, the development of a refining process at a considerably lower cost is required. The most cost-effective and direct approach for producing SoG-Si is to purify and upgrade metallurgical-grade Si (MG-Si). In this study, directional solidification of molten MG-Si was conducted in a high-frequency induction furnace to remove iron from molten Si. The experimental conditions and results were also discussed with respect to the effective segregation coefficient, Scheil equation, and Peclet number. The study showed that when the descent velocity of the specimen decreased, the macro segregations of impurities and ingot purities increased. These results were derived from the decrease in the effective segregation coefficient with the decrease in the rate of descent of the specimen.

Effect of Solutionizing Condition on the Microstructure and Tensile Properties of a Ni-base Superalloy CMSX-4 (Ni기 초내열합금에서 용체화처리 조건에 따른 조직과 인장 특성)

  • Dendrite boundaries and γ/γ' structure of a second generation single crystalline superalloy CMSX-4 almost disappeared during solution treatment above 1310℃. γ' size in the dendrite core was uniform and fine, however, that in the interdendritic region was coarse and nonuniform. With increasing solutionizing temperature and time, γ' size in the interdednritic region became fine and segregation of alloying elements between dendrite core and interdendritic region diminished. Segregation of solid solution strengthening elements such as W, Co, Re in the dendrite core was not fully removed through the heat treatments, especially that of Re still remained to some extent. Tensile properties at room temperature at which does not cause precipitaion of harmful phases, were improved with increasing solutionizing temperature and time.

  • Al계 베어링합금은 소착저항력등의 베어링특성이 우수하여 최근에 자동차의 엔진부품에 많이 사용되고 있다. Al계 베어링합금으로는 Al-Sn계, Al-Pb계, Al-Si계 합금이 개발되어 사용되어 왔다. Al-Si계 합금은 높은 강도, 우수한 부식성, 주조성이 향상되는 장점등을 갖고 있다. 또한 Al-Pb계 합금은 Pb가 고체윤활제로 작용하여 소착저항성이 높으며 가격도 저렴한 장점을 갖고 있다. Al과 Pb는 용융상태에서 넓은 용융간극을 갖어 중력편석을 일으키기 때문에 일반적인 주조방법으로 Al계 베어링합금을 제조할 수없다. 또한 Al에 Si이 첨가됨에 따라 높은 경도등의 기계적성질의 향상이 얻어지지만 Al 기지에 Si의 함량이 증가할 수록 편석이 심해져 조대한 Si-rich상이 미세조직에 존재하여 합금이 취약해지는 단점을 갖고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 Al 기지에 Pb의 중력편석을 최소화하고 Al 기지에 조대한 Si-rich상이 생성되는 것을 막기 위하여 Al과 Pb가 공존하는 온도구역에서 높은 교반속도로 용탕을 강제교반하여 액상에서 Pb와 Si을 미세하게 분산시킨 후 수냉되는 동주형에서 급속응고시켜 Pb와 Si-rich 상이 균일하게 분포된 Al계 베어링합금을 제조하였다. 본 연구에서는 Pb의 양을 0%에서 35%까지 변화시켰으며, Si의 양을 0%에서 20%까지 변화시켜서 베어링합금을 제조하였으며, 강제교반속도는 500rpm에서 2500rpm 까지 변화시켜 베어링합금을 제조하였다.

Effects of Center Segregation on Weld Cold Cracking Susceptibility (용접 저온균열 감수성에 미치는 중심 편석의 영향)

  • Correlation between microstructural features and segregation of elements (Si, Mn, P and S) near the mid of thickness in the base metal and the synthetic HAZ was investigated. Furthermore, the relationship between the degree of center segregation and weld cold cracking susceptibility in the thickness direction was also conducted by evaluating the effect of P concentration on the critical applied stress. The results obtained are as follows: 1) Pearlite band, containing the MnS type inclusion and a locally transformed structure with a higher hardness, was observed in the center segregation region. 2) By the weld thermal cycle, center segregation region was transformed to the white band which had a higher hardness than that of base metal due to a greater hardenability of concentrated Mn, P etc.. 3) Weld cold cracking susceptibility in the thickness direction was mainly dependent on the concentration of impurity elements rather than on the number of the segregated particles near the mid of thickness. 4) During welding, the higher concentrated region was easily changed into white band. Therefore, it could be predicted that the initiation and propagation of a cold crack would be promoted by increasing the restraint stress and hydrogen content.

Surface-energy -induced Selective Growth and Magnetic Induction in 3%Si-Fe Strip (극박 3%규소강에서 표면에너지 유기 선택적 결정성장 현상과 자성특성)

  • The {111}<112> deformation torture, which originated from the {110}<00l> texture near the surface of hot bands, is not prerequisite for the recrystallized {110}<001> Goss texture. During final annealing, surface-energy-induced selective growth of grains urn at the strip surface of 3%Si-Fe alloys containing 6ppm bulk content of sulfur. With decreasing final reduction, the probability that Goss grains survive under the highly segregated sulfur atmosphere and have a chance for later surface-energy-induced selective growth becomes higher, resulting in high magnetic induction.
