A Model for the Relation between Strength and Porosity in Sintered Parts Produced by Powder Injection Molding Process (분말사출성형을 통해 제조된 소결체의 기공율에 따른 강도예측모델)

  • In the present study, a new approach to predict the strength of sintered materials has been carried out and a new framework combining neck growth model and ideal pore model has been established based on the results of tensile tests on powder injection molded specimens with the various porosity. Powder injection molding (PIM) uses the shaping advantage of injection molding but is applicable to metals and ceramics. PIM delivers structural materials in a shaping technology previously restricted to polymers. 17-4 PH stainless steel powders with average diameters of 10 $\mu\textrm{m}$ were injection-molded into flat tensile specimens sintered at the various temperatures ranging from 900 to 1350$^{\circ}C$ for 1h. The relationships between strength and porosity were applied to the experimental results and verified.

  • 실리콘 박막 태양전지는 저가, 대면적 생산이 가능해 최근 주택용, 발전용의 차세대 태양전지로써 부각되고 있다. 그러나, 단결정, 다결정 태양전지에 비해 상대적으로 낮은 효율특성 때문에 그 특성을 향상시키고자 하는 다양한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 비정질/마이크로결정질 실리콘 박막 태양전지에서 광흡수층으로 사용되는 i층은 광흡수를 최대화하기 위해 암전류($\sigma$$_{d}$)가 낮고 광전류($\sigma$$_{ph}$ )가 높은, 즉, 광민감도($\sigma$$_{ph}$ /$\sigma$$_{d}$)가 높은 박막을 적용해야 한다. 한편, 도핑된 윈도우층의 경우에는 넓은 밴드갭을 갖도록 하여 윈도우층에서의 광흡수가 최소화되도록 박막을 형성해야 한다.

Lactobacillus acidophilus KFCC12731와 Kluyveromyces fragilis KFCC35457의 혼합배양을 이용한 대두유의 젖산발효조건

  • L. acidophilus를 대두유에 젖산발효 시킬 때 단독배양과 효모인 K. fragilis와의 혼합배양에 대하여 검토하였다. 젖산의 생성량은 젖산균 단독배양보다는 효모와 혼합배양 하는 것이 2.6배나 많았으며 L. acidophilus를 단독배양 하였을 경우 균의 생육속도와 PH 강하속도는 K. fragilis를 단독배양한 것에 비교하여 늦었다. 그러나 혼합배양 함으로써 생육속도와 PH 강하속도는 K, fragilis를 단독배양한 것보다 빨랐다. 단독 또는 혼합젖산발효에 미치는 온도의 영향을 조사한 결과는 L. acidophilus.는 37$^{\circ}C$, K. frahilis는 3$0^{\circ}C$, 두 균의 혼합배양시는 35-37$^{\circ}C$ 범위에서 산생성이 가장 좋았다. 혼합배양 시 검토한 젖산발효 최적조건은 L. acidophilus와 K. fragilis의 접종비율이 1:5, sucrose 0.5-1.0% SKIMMILK 1.5%를 각각 첨 가한 것이 좋았다.

  • A bacterial strain PH-4, which produces an enzyme catalyzing the degradation of crosslinked poly(${\gamma}$-glutamic acid) hydrogels, was isolated and identified as a Flavobacterium sp. The enzyme was obtained by the sonication of the bacterial cells preincubated in a Bouillon medium with shaking, without adding of poly(${\gamma}$-glutamic acid) as an inducer. The products of the hydrogel degraded by the crude enzyme agreed closely with the depolymerized materials in SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis using methylene blue staining, and with a glutamic acid monomer on thin-layer chromatography, thereby suggesting that strain PH-4 produced a kind of exohydrolase.

An efficient approximation method for phase-type distributions

  • The Phase-type(PH) distribution, defined as a distribution of the time until the absorption in a finite continuous-time Markov chain state with one absorbing state, has been widely used for various stochastic modelling. But great computational burdens often make us hesitate to apply PH methods. In this paper, we propose a seemingly efficient approximation method for phase type distributions. We first describe methods to bound the first passage time distribution in continuous-time Markov chains. Next, we adapt these bounding methods to approximate phase-tupe distributions. Numerical computation results are given to verify their efficiency.

  • Understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms involved in the development and progression of pulmonary hypertension (PH) remains imperative if we are to successfully improve the quality of life and life span of patients with the disease. A whole plethora of mechanisms are associated with the development and progression of PH. Such complexity makes it difficult to isolate one particular pathway to target clinically. Changes in intracellular free calcium concentration, the most common intracellular second messenger, can have significant impact in defining the pathogenic mechanisms leading to its development and persistence. Signaling pathways leading to the elevation of $[Ca^{2+}]_{cyt}$ contribute to pulmonary vasoconstriction, excessive proliferation of smooth muscle cells and ultimately pulmonary vascular remodeling. This current review serves to summarize the some of the most recent advances in the regulation of calcium during pulmonary hypertension.

  • The synthesis of a novel N,C,N-type pincer, bis(N-aryl)-2-bromoisophthalaldimine 2,6-(2,6-Et2PhN = CH)2C6H3Br (1) and Ni(1)Br (2) is described. They were characterized by elemental analysis and spectroscopic techniques (IR and 1H NMR). Attempted ethylene polymerization catalyzed by 2 has been futile, leading only to the formation of a small amount of oily oligomers.

The Characteristics of Metals in the Soil Based on the Sequential Extraction With Increasing PH (pH 단계별 증가에 따른 토양 금속의 용출 특성)

  • Eight USA soils were used for this study. The purpose of this study is to illustrate the characteristics of metals in the soil based on the sequential extraction with increasing pH. Extracts were analyzed for metals by ICP-MS and for dissolved organic carbon(DOC). As the pH increasing, the DOC extracted in each increment initially decreased and reached the minimum at pH 3 and then increased substantially at higher pH values. According to the pH increasing, the extraction of Ca, Cu, and Zn were illustrated as L type. It was found that there were strong correlation between the extracted Fe and DOC($r=0.64{\sim}0.97$).

Die Analysen von Diskursstrukturen anhand einer neuen Diskursgrammatik (담화의 구조 - 새로운 담화문법의 설계)

  • Bei vorliegender Arbeit wurde eine sogenannte Diskursstrukturgrammatik (DSG) vorgestellt, die auf die $Erkl\"{a}rung$ von verschiedenen diskursbezogenen $Ph\"{a}nomenen$ zielt, und derer Grundlage auf 'Head-driven Phrase Structure Grammar (HPSG)' basiert. Im Abschnitt 2 wurde die Syntax von DSG gegeben. Die Syntax besteht aus Grundsymbolen und Regeln. Die Grundsymbole teilen sich wiederum in grundlegende Diskurseinheiten und logische Konnektoren ein. Entsprechend der Syntax wurde die Semantik im Abschnitt 3 gegeben. Insbesondere habe ich das Diskursrelation­Prinzip aufgestellt, nach dem die Information eines Konnektoren die Bedeutung der neu gebildeten Diskurseinheit bestimmt. Im letzten Abschnitt 4 habe ich anhand der DSG zwei Beispiele analysiert, um zu zeigen, wie die DSG funktioniert. Von der Theorie aus gesehen, ist die vorgestellte DSG nicht $vollst\"{a}ndig$. Deshalb werde ich weiter die DSG systematisieren, indem ich andere $Ph\"{a}nomene$ im Bereich des Diskurses wie Anapher, Tempus usw. behandle

High Efficiency Red Phosphorescent Organic Light Emitting Devices Using the Double Dopant System (이중 도핑을 이용한 고효율 적색 인광 유기발광소자)

  • A new high efficient red PhOLED using a host of $Bebq_2$ and double dopants of $(pq)_2$Ir(acac) and SEC-R411 have been fabricated and evaluated. The device doubly doped with $(pq)_2$Ir(acac) and SFC-R411 showed the current efficiency improvement of 22% under a luminance of 10000 cd/$m^2$ in comparision with the device singly doped with SFC-R411. The luminance, current efficiency and central wavelength of the doubly doped device were 9300 cd/$m^2$ at 7V, 11.1 cd/A under a luminance of 10000 cd/$m^2$ and 625 nm, respectively.
