Evaluating method of the device parameters of liquid crystal display (LCD) by means of the renormalized transmission spectroscopic ellipsometry is demonstrated. Dielectric and elastic constant, threshold voltage, pretilt angle, cell gap and Anchoring strength coefficients can be evaluated from the measurement of ellipsometric parameters measured by the symmetrically oblique incidence transmission ellipsometry (SOITE). Furthermore, rapid evaluating method for rubbed polyimide film is also demonstrated.

An ultimate strength evaluation of the through plate girder bridge using nonlinear inelastic analysis is presented. In this method, separate member capacity checks after analysis are not required, because the stability and strength of the structural system and its component members can be rigorously treated in analysis. The method captures the inelastic redistribution of internal forces throughout a structural system, and allows an economic use of material for highly indeterminate steel bridges.

본 논문에서 우리는 정규화 된 혼합 노름(norm)을 이용한 다중 채널 영상 복원 알고리즘을 제안한다. 채널 내부와 채널 사이의 결정론적 정보를 이용하는 다중채널 복원 문제를 고려한다. 각 채널에서, LMS(Least Mean Square), LMF(Least Mean Fourth), 평탄 함수가 결합된 함수가 제안되었다. LMS와 LMF 사이의 적절한 분배를 제어하는 혼합 노를 매개변수와 해의 평탄 정도를 정의하는 정규화 매개 변수를 소개하며, 두 매개 변수는 각 채널의 잡음 특성에 따라 매번 반복적으로 갱신된다. 제안된 알고리즘은 각 채널의 잡음분포에 대한 지식이 필요하지 앉고 앞에서 언급된 매개 변수는 부분적으로 복원된 영상에 기반을 두고 조절하게 된다.

본 논문에서는 철도차량의 능동조향을 위한 고전 PI 제어기 및 퍼지 제어기를 설계하여 그 성능을 서로 비교하였다. 철도차량에서 능동조향은 곡선부 주행 시 발생되는 승차감 저하 및 차륜/레일의 마모와 소음을 줄이고, 고속주행을 위한 조향성능 및 주행안정성을 확보하기 위한 제어기술이다. 논문에서는 차량 1량을 모델로 하여 측정된 휠-레일의 횡변위(Lateral Displacement) 정보를 토대로 휠의 요모멘트를 제어하는 전략을 사용하여 제어기를 설계하였으며, 시뮬레이션을 통해 제어기 응답 특성을 비교하였다.

We give a construction of the second Chern number of a vector bundle over a smooth projective surface by means of adelic transition matrices for the vector bundle. The construction does not use an algebraic K-theory and depends on the canonical ${\mathbb{Z}}-torsor$ of a locally linearly compact k-vector space. Analogs of certain auxiliary results for the case of an arithmetic surface are also discussed.

We present our analysis of a newly discovered galaxy-galaxy gravitational lens system in the First Look Survey (FLS) field. This object shows a highly distorted background galaxy (z=0.245) image by a nearby elliptical galaxy (z=0.08), which can be interpreted as a result of gravitational lensing. We model the lens with elliptical isothermal sphere model, and present the mass and potential distribution of the system.

전기에너지는 저장성이 없기 때문에 부하의 불규칙적인 변화에 대한 실시간 대처가 어렵다. 그 중 전력계통의 대규모 공급지장에 대비하여 안정적인 공급을 위해서 예비력은 중요한 요소이다. 예비력이 필요 없다면 경쟁적 입찰을 통해 최적의 가격설정을 할 수 있겠지만 예비력은 계통의 안정적 운영을 위해 반드시 필요하다. 예비력을 운영함으로써 경제적 손실이 발생하는데 이를 최소화하기 위한 일환으로 예비력 운영에 대한 적절한 가격결정이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 예비력시장을 운영함으로써 발생하는 기회비용을 고려하여 에너지와 예비력 가격 설정방법을 제시하였다.

We proposes the method to detect the Hangul and English character region from natural image using structural feature of Hangul and English Characters. First, we extract edge features from natural image, Next, if features are not corresponding to the heuristic rule of character features, extracted features filtered out and select candidates of character region. Next, candidates of Hangul character region are merged into one Hangul character using Hangul character merging algorithm. Finally, we detect the final character region by Hangul character class decision algorithm. English character region detected by edge features of English characters. Experimental result, proposed method could detect a character region effectively in images that contains a complex background and various environments. As a result of the performance evaluation, A proposed method showed advanced results about detection of Hangul and English characters region from natural image.
