Process adjustment is a complimentary tool to process monitoring in process control. Although original intention of process adjustment is not identifying a special cause, detection and elimination of special causes may lead to significant process improvement. In this paper, we examine the impact of special causes on process adjustment. The bias in the adjusted output process is derived for each type of special causes, and average run length (ARL) of the Shewhart chart applied to the adjusted output is computed for each special cause types. Numerical results are illustrated for the ARL of the Shewhart chart, thereupon seriousness of special causes on process adjustment is evaluated for each type of special causes.

The purpose of this study is to establish fundamental standards of architectural planning concerning special class facilities in order to offer the basic information on the appropriate spatial organization of the special classroom by looking at the relationship between learning activities and living activities and the existing spatial organization. At present, there are no proper architectural standards which correspond to special class children's handicap and it's various characteristics. The special classes are just using ordinary classrooms without a considerations of the children with manifold handicap. In this sense, this study deals with appropriate special class facilities corresponding to the various characteristics of children's handicap, the contacting activities of special children with ordinary children and finally proper environment for the mainstreaming education which special education pursues.

Load forecasting is essential to the economical and the stable power system operations. In general, the forecasting days can be classified into weekdays, weekends, special days and special light-load periods in short-term load forecast. Special light-load periods are the consecutive holidays such as Lunar New Years holidays, Korean Thanksgiving holidays and summer special light-load period. For the weekdays and the weekends forecast, the conventional methods based on the statistics are mainly used and show excellent results for the most part. The forecast algorithms for special days yield good results also but its forecast error is relatively high than the results of the weekdays and the weekends forecast methods. For summer special light-load period, none of the previous studies have been performed ever before so if the conventional methods are applied to this period, forecasting errors of the conventional methods are considerably high. Therefore, short-term load forecast for summer special light-load period have mainly relied on the experience of power system operation experts. In this study, the trends of load profiles during summer special light-load period are classified into three patterns and new forecast algorithms for each pattern are suggested. The proposed method was tested with the last ten years' summer special light-load periods. The simulation results show the excellent average forecast error near 2%.

많은 도서관에서 다른 곳에서 구할 수 없는 독특한 정보원으로 구축해놓은 특수장서를 운영하고 있다. 도서관에서 구축해놓은 특수장서는 귀중한 연구자료로 사용되며 또 이용자들을 위한 특화서비스에 활용되고 있다. 디지털시대를 맞아 독특하고 유일한 자료로 구축된 특수장서는 질적인 웹콘텐츠로 활용되고 있어서 도서관의 귀중한 자산으로 각광 받고 있다. 본 논문에서는 국내외 공공도서관에서 구축운영되는 특수장서 현황을 웹사이트 방문방법으로 조사하여 그 내용을 소개함으로써 국내 공공도서관에서 특수장서의 문화를 이해하고 특수장서 개발 구축에 참고하도록 하였다.

최근 그래픽 하드웨어는 눈부신 발전을 거듭하였으며, 이에 따라 국내의 게임 유저들은 사실 감과 생동감이 넘치는 화려한 게임 그래픽을 요구하고 있다. 그래픽 특수효과는 이러한 요구를 만족시킬 수 있는 방법 중 하나이지만, 특수효과를 재사용할 수 있는 일반적인 형태로 구현된 사례는 없었다. 본 논문에서는 그래픽 특수효과 엔진의 구현과 그 적용 사례를 통하여 게임에 그래픽 특수효과를 쉽게 적용할 수 있음을 기술한다. 특수효과 데이터를 표준 파일 포맷으로 저장 및 로드함으로서 특수효과의 재사용이 가능하고, 그래픽 특수효과 편집툴을 이용하여 게임 제작 이전이라도 특수효과의 테스트 및 시연을 할 수 있다.

The government established Special Accounts for Balanced National Development in 2005, and the Metropolitan Council has enacted and executed ordinance relevant to special accounts to relieve regional unbalanced growth and to promote regional balanced growth. This study derived a political implication through the comparison analysis of the background of establishment and its purpose, the selection criteria of support target, finance scale and tax revenue finance, appropriation target and finance distribution, etc. on the basis of Chungcheongnam-do Special Accounts for Balanced Development and Jeollabuk-do Eastern part Special Accounts among the special accounts implemented in metropolitan council. The major conclusions of this study are as follows. First, the transition from the concept of balanced development to specialized development is necessary for the development of distressed region. Second, the pure wastefulness ratio of the local government's tax revenue finance of special accounts designed concentrating upon special accounts for Wide-area Autonomous Communities development should be gradually expanded. Third, Special Accounting budget should be supported to promote specialized development through the selection and concentration centering around comparatively advantageous resource within the region. Fourth, the strategic special accounts budget application system of cities and counties to utilize the projects of the government and the province to achieve the goal of cities and counties should be prepared.

The purpose of this study is to establish fundamental data of architectural planning concerning location of the special class to tackle the problems of special class facilities, the contacting activities of special children with ordinary children and finally proper environment for the main-streaming education which special education persues. The contacting activities of the special class children usually take place in both their original class and special class. The less the degree of handicap is, the less contact with ordinary children happens. In the case of the serious degree of handicap, it can be said that they are often helped by ordinary children so that there are more oppotunities to make friends each other. Therefore, the disposition of special classes in a school should consider the degree of handicap. The characteristics of special class facilities and management system play significant role on contacting activities. In particular, the location of a special class in terms of grouping and floor, the character of the next space and the location of the building in the overall context should be taken into account in deciding the location of special classes in a school. In addition, the characteristics of junior and senior children should be considered.
