The demurrage is regarded as a kind of the ocean freight and a remuneration of the time lost for the vessel while in port. In ordinary occasions of the voyage charter, the liability of a demurrage is usually laid on the charterers unless any exceptions are incorporated. The owners are, however, often meeting somehow difficulty to secure demurrage in the field as the liability is limited or transferred to a third party from the charterers. This paper is focused on clearing the liabilities to be held by the parties involved through the English Law cases, and what's more is rendering a proper suggestions to the owners and charterers on dealing with the ship's operation business.

우리나라는 깨끗한 상수원수를 확보하고 각종 오염과 유해물질의 유입을 원천적으로 차단하여 상수원의 수질보전을 위해 필요하다고 인정되는 지역을 상수원보호구역으로 관리하고 있다. 상수원 수질관리를 위해 상수원보호구역 내에서는 명백한 오염유발행위 일체를 금지하고 있으며 건축물 신축 등 개발행위에 대해서는 공익시설 및 보호구역에 거주하는 주민의 소득기반 및 생활환경 개선을 위한 최소한의 행위만을 허가하는 등 강한 규제를 시행하고 있다. 상수원보호구역제도의 상수원 관리효과와 비례하여 상하류 지역의 사회적 갈등에 대한 개선요구도 증가하고 있다. 상수원보호구역 내 강한 규제로 인해 상류주민들은 재산권의 제약으로 사유재산에 대한 형평성문제 및 수처리 기술개발이 향상되어 과거와 같은 강한 입지규제에 대한 합리적 규제기준 조정을 요구하고 있으며 하류 지역에서는 상수원보호구역의 완화로 인해 발생할 수 있는 수질악화를 고려하여 강한 규제의 유지를 요구하고 있다. 이와같이 상수원보호구역제도로 인한 상류와 하류의 이해관계가 달라 이에 대한 합의가 이루어지지 않고 있다. 본 연구는 상류주민들의 재산권제약에 대한 피해정도와 하류주민들의 수질보호로 인한 편익을 정량적으로 비교해 봄으로써 상수원보호구역으로 인한 사회적 갈등 조정에 대한 정책적 시사점을 도출하고자 한다.

When it comes to the paintings in Joseon Dynasty, landscape and a genre paintings were popular but it was Minhwa that people of every dass loved. Minhwa contained not only true meaning of a picture, but also it was simple and straighforwardly depicted. Among them, paintings in books belonging to the Joseon Dynasty (hereinafter called Checkgeori paintings) describe a small universe in which people live harmoniously in nature on the basis of a Confucian society. In addition, it shows modern philosophy in paintings and makes a feature of human life. In this paper, 'Ssangpok Checkgeori 'in Checkgeori paintings illustrates the relationships between things such as color, arrangement, place and direction. They have outstanding features such as the direction of things in composition, multiple vanishing points, a folding screen constituent and movement of viewpoints. Therefore, we come to know the painting method of 'Ssangpok Checkgeori' can be applied to modern paintings.

Recently various electronic books (I-Book) based on PDA (personal digital assistance) that we can easily use anytime and anywhere have been developed. Volume and weight of the E-Book is much less than that of traditional books. In that reason, it is easy to carry and serve us with contents by diverse functions such as searching, bookmark, dictionary, and playing of color image, sound or moving picture. On account of these advantages, many products connected with I-Book have been emerged in the market. However a product connected with educational contents is scarce, because it requires not only normal function but also additional functions such as a problem solving. Therefore it is actually necessary to develop a browser and an editor for educational contents. In this paper, we express educational contents by XML and define structure of document with XML schema. Then, we design and implement an editor and a browser that can manage educational contents on PDA.

Bookmagic is a new reading program that encourages children of 5-15 ages to enjoy reading. Bookmagic provides free downloadable resources such as pre-reading and after-reading activities, booklists, posters and awards. Since a number of reading programs have already been developed, published and used, Bookmagic is not a toally new project. However, it is distinguished by the process of creating the program. While most of the reading programs available in Korea were developed by individual occupations(academic experts, private enterprises, civic organisations, associations of librarians or teachers), Bookmagic was designed by a team of various professionals including a picture book author, an academic researcher, a primary school teacher, a school librarian and two public librarians. Working in a partnership with other professionals, participant librarians had a unique opportunity to develop expertises on reading education as a creator of a program rather than as a deliverer.

This study discusses the research trends in Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) which recently emerged as the central concept among international innovation policy circles. In particular, we attend to the conceptual diversity of RRI, showing that each trend emphasizes different elements of RRI and reflects the context in which the concept has emerged. The first trend centers on research on governing emerging technologies which has been developed from the tradition of technology assessment and ELSI. The second trend has been closely related to the innovation policy efforts to take up the social challenge driven innovation as a new driving force for innovations. The third involves the attempts to operationalize the concept of RRI to evaluate whether the vision of RRI has been successfully incorporated in the actual innovation practices. We also insist that recent Korean R&D policies which emphasize social responsibility of science and technology include essential elements of RRI, although they do not use the term RRI. Finally, we discuss policy implications of discourse over RRI on such innovation policies.

E-book markets are currently moving through a period of disequilibrium as new pricing structures (i.e., flat-fee subscriptions) are rapidly embraced by major vendors. On the basis of a novel dataset, we investigate how the availability of "all-you-can-read" pricing programs influences consumers' tariff choice and contract renewal behaviors. Consistent with the rational choice framework, the findings suggest that most e-book consumers significantly gain from subscription-based tariffs. Power readers prefer flat-fee subscriptions, and those that have economically benefited renew their subscription. However, we also find some other intriguing results. Among the three subscription designs examined, the 1-week plan affords consumers more economic benefits than do 1-day or 1-month programs. Finally, iOS users are more inclined to select subscription models than are Android users because of the absence of in-app purchase functionalities for the former. The unavailability of in-app purchase affects tariff choices and transaction patterns as it increases transaction costs.

The study of the compatibility of EPUB DRM, granted by the Korea Copyright Commission, as a CT R & D project (Project Title: The Development of the standard reference software technology for International Standard EPUB-based eBook DRM) developed standards such as profile standards for encryption digital signature and authentication certificates and standards for technical terms of rights information. In 2012, these four standards have been established as the Korean Industrial Standards under the names of 'Encryption specification for EPUB DRM,' 'the Digital signature specification for EPUB DRM,' 'the Certificate specification for EPUB DRM,' and 'Definitions of Right Terms for EPUB DRM' through the ODPF(Open Digital Standardization Forum) and the TTA(Telecommunications Technology Association). The research project also proposed standards of ebook DRM license protocols in order for the four standards to practically apply to ebook DRM compatibility. It is necessary for technology standards to require a compatibility standard test process for testing whether implementations which were developed on the basis of the standard specification, comply with standards. This study suggests an automated compatible standard test method and a test model under the ebook DRM standard technical specification.

Advancements in digital technology have caused significant changes to the tradition of creative educational activities. Such an with digital technology is prone to an error where digital technology itself becomes the goal, ignoring educational efficacy grounded on improved user experience and immersion. Previously, picture book-making activities for children allow them to actively participate in the process of book-making, and is often employed to instill reading habits as well as nurture linguistic abilities. Aside from such picture book-making activities, diverse efforts are being made for innovation in educational pedagogy through digital technology. However, as the goal of children's picture book-making activities is realizing creative education through expressions in language and pictures, digital technology should be considered in the viewpoint of fusion, not as a simple replacement to the traditional tools employed in children's picture book-making activities. This study examines previous researches related to children's picture book-making activities to propose contents and methodology allowing effective immersion by fusing digital technology based on a physical environment, from the viewpoint of fusion and integration. Expect this study will become a fundamental data in visualizing a practical integration of digital technology in future creative education.

The aim of this study is to provide practical instances of implementing picture book reading sessions within school libraries to enhance language proficiency and foster emotional stability among lower-grade multicultural students hailing from foreign backgrounds. The research outlines the design and execution of a picture book reading program tailored for multicultural students, with analysis based on the outcomes of actual classroom implementations. In the course of the study, existing literature pertaining to the use of picture books for enhancing multicultural education and language skills was reviewed. This informed the development of a structured class procedure by extracting core components. Indeed, 43 multicultural students in five classes in the first and second grades of A Elementary School in Gyeonggi-do were given three pilot classes for each class for 20 weeks and a total of 100 picture book reading classes, each with 17 main lessons. This study establishes the positive impact of picture book reading classes on the Korean language comprehension of multicultural students. The results confirm positive improvements in students' ability to understand Korean, as evidenced by enhanced Korean expression and presentation skills, increased library usage, and a positive shift in classroom attitude. The procedure for reading picture books using school libraries proposed in this study was actually conceived and developed in the course of class operation in the school education field, reflecting the changes brought about by the increase of multicultural students and the need to improve the class environment. Through this practical investigation, important insights have been extracted regarding how picture book reading sessions designed for elementary school students from multicultural backgrounds can enhance the classroom environment and elevate learning outcomes.
