In this work, we prepared the activated graphite nanofibers (A-GNFs) via chemical activation with KOH/GNFs ratios in a range of 0 to 5. The effect of KOH activation was studied in the surface and pore properties of the samples for electrochemical performance. The surface properties of A-GNFs were characterized by XRD and SEM measurements. The textural properties of the A-GNFs were investigated by $N_2$/77 K adsorption isotherms using Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) equation. Their electrochemical behaviors were investigated by cyclic voltammetry and galvanostatic charge-discharge performance. From the results, electrochemical performances of the A-GNFs were improved with increasing the ratio of KOH reagent. It was found that specific surface area and total pore volume of the A-GNFs were increased by KOH activation.
Oxygen-free copper (OFC) was prepared as a 90 mm cube and then processed with Multi-Axial Diagonal Forging - Initialization of Prior manufacturing History (MADF). The MADF process has been newly developed as a severe plastic deformation method. The MADF process consists of upset forging with a thickness reduction of 30% and diagonal forging with a diagonal angle of $135^{\circ}$. 1 cycle process consists of a 12 passes forging process. In order to analyze the characteristic changes according to the number of iterations, 1, 2, and 3 cycles of the MADF process were performed. The OFC specimens were MADF processed without surface cracks up to 3 cycles. The microstructure, hardness and tensile test of processed materials were analyzed to study the change of material properties according to the amount of MADF process. The results showed that the MADF process effectively refined the microstructure and increased the strength of OFC. In the case of specimens processed for more than 2 cycles, the grains of all measurement regions were refined to be less than $7{\mu}m$ of grain size. The 1 cycle MADF processed OFC showed the highest mechanical properties with the hardness of 132 HV and tensile strength of 395 MPa. Hardness and strength seemed to be saturated when processed over 2 cycles.
The purpose of this morphological study was to investigate the relationship to facial nerve and LI4 related to the large intestine meridian. The common locations of the spinal cord and brain projecting to the LI4 and facial nerve were observed fallowing injection of transsynaptic neurotropic virus, pseudorabis virus(PRV), into the LI4 and facial nerve of the rat. After survival times of 96 hours following injection of PRV, the rats were perfused, and their spinal cord and brain were frozen sectioned(30${\mu}m$). These sections were stained by PRV immunohistochemical staining method, and observed with light microscope The results were as follows: 1. The PRV labeled spinal cord segments projecting to the LI4 and facial nerve were founded in cervical, thoracic, lumbar and sacral segments. Dense labeled areas of each spinal cord segment were founded in lamina IV, V, X, lateral spinal nucleus, intermediolateral nucleus and dorsal nucleus. 2. The PRV labeled medulla oblongata projecting to the LI4 and facial nerve were founded in the A1 noradrenalin cells/C1 adrenalin cells/caudoventrolateral reticular nucleus, rostroventrolateral reticular nucleus, medullary reticular nucleus, nucleus tractus solitarius, raphe obscurus nucleus, raphe pallidus nucleus, raphe magnus nucleus, gigantocellular nucleus, lateral paragigantocellular nucleus, and spinal trigeminal nucleus.
The leaf extracts of Araucaria bidwillii Hook. (Araucariaceae) were evaluated for their cytotoxic effect in various human cancer cell lines. Preliminary investigation by brine shrimp lethality assay indicated that $LC_{50}$ value of various successive extracts were found to be less than $1000\;{\mu}g/ml$, where the ethyl acetate extract showed maximum activity of less than $100\;{\mu}g/ml$. Further cytotoxic evaluation of various leaf extracts of Araucaria bidwilli Hook was carried out in four different human cancer cell lines-acute myeloblastic leukemia (HL-60), chronic myelogenic leukemia (K-562), breast adenocarcinoma (MCF-7) and cervical epithelial carcinoma (HeLa). Cytotoxicity was assessed by trypan blue dye exclusion method and 3-(4,5-dimethyl thiazole-2yl)-2,5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide (MTT) reduction assay. From the present investigation it was found that the ethyl acetate and methanol extract of Araucaria bidwilli Hook was found to be more effective in leukemic cell lines and was less effective in MCF-7 and HeLa. The $IC_{50}$ value of the ethyl acetate extract in leukemic cell lines was found to be $28.18\;and\;34.64\;{\mu}g/ml$ and methanol extract was found to be $33.11\;&\;39.81\;{\mu}g/ml$. It can be concluded that various extract from the leaves of Araucaria bidwillii Hook. posses cytotoxic activity tested in brine shrimps and various human carcinoma cell lines.
The structure of cis-(malonato)[(4R,5R)-4,5-bis(aminomethyl)-2-isopropyl-1,3-dioxolane]platinum(II) with a potent anticancer activity has been determined by the X-ray crystallographic method. Crystal data are as follows: Pt(C/sub 11/H/sub 20/N₂O/sub 6/), M/sub 4/=471.38, monoclinic, P2₁, a=7.112(1), b=33.615(3), c=7.135(1)Å, β=116.80(1)°, V=1522.6(3)Å, and Z=4. The two independent molecules with very similar structures are approximately related by pseudo two-fold screw axis symmetry, which makes the monolinic cell look like the orthorhombic cell with one molecule in the asymmetric unit and space group C222₁. The crystal packing mode is similar to that of the analogue with the dimethyl substituents instead of the isopropyl group. The Pt atom is coordinate to two O and two N atoms in a square planar structure. The six-membered chelate ring in the leaving ligand assumes a conformation intermediate between the half chair and the boat forms. The seven-membered ring in the carrier ligand assumes a twist-chair conformation and the oxolane ring assumes an envelope conformation. Crystal packing consists of the extensive hydrogen-bonding network in the two-dimensional molecular layers and weak van der Waals interactions between these layers.
An accurate method of estimating ship maneuverability needs to be developed to evaluate precisely and improve the maneuverability of ships according to the water depth. In order to estimate maneuverability by a mathematical model. The hydrodynamic forces acting on a ship hull and the flow field around the ship in maneuvering motion need to be estimated. The ship speed new the berth is very low and the fluid flow around a ship hull is unsteady. So, the transient fluid motion should be considered to estimate the drag force acting on the ship hull. In the low speed and short time lateral motion, the vorticity is created by the body and grow up in the acceleration stage and the velocity induced by the vorticity affect to the body in deceleration stage. For this kind of problem, CFD is considered as a goof tool to understand the phenomena. In this paper, the 2D CFD code is used for basic consideration of the phenomena to solve the flow in the cross section of the ship considering the ship is slender and the water depth is large enough. The flow fields Added and hydrodynamic forces for the some prescribed motions are computed and compared with the preliminary experiment results. The comparison of the force with measurement is shown a fairly good agreement in tendency. The 3D Potential Calculation based on the Hess & Smith Theory is employed to predict the surge, sway added mass and yaw added moment of inertia of hydrodynamic coefficients for M/V ESSO OSAKA according to the water depth. The results are also compared with experimental data. Finally, the sway added mass of hydrodynamic coefficients for T/S HANNARA is suggested in each water depth.

The purpose of this study was to investigate corrosion tendency and to compare corrosion resistance of three dental magnetic attachments and its keeper alloy by coercive, electrochemical method. By using petentiodynamic polarization technique, magnetic elements and its keeper alloy of Magfit EX600 system(MF, MFK), Dyna ES regular system(DN, DNK) and Shiner SR magnet system(SR, SRK) were corroded electrochemically in 0.9% NaCl electrolytic solution. Open-circuit potential and anodic polarization curve was measured with Potentiostat(model 273 EG&E) and polarization curve was created by current density per square area following scanning of increased series of voltage in the rate of 1.0mV per second. Before and after electrochemical corrosion, the surface roughness test was done. Thereafter the change of mean surface roughness value(Ra) and mean peak value(Rt) of surface roughness was compared one another. In order to observe the corroded surface of each specimen, metallurgical light microscopic(${\times}37.5$) and scanning electron microscopic view(SEM ${\times}100$) was taken and compared one another. Conclusion is followings. 1. All of six covering metal of dental magnetic attachments and its keeper alloy were corroded in various degree after electrochemical corrosion. 2. The corrosion resistance of which used in this experiment is the following in high order; DNK, MFK, DN, MF, SRK and SR. 3. Especially Shiner magnet system and its keeper alloy were more severely corroded after electrochemical corrosion and the change of Ra Rt value were more increased than others. 4 Metallurgical and scanning electron microscopic view showed the pitting corrosion tendency of all experimental alloy but DNK and SR. 5. Covering metal of magnet was more corroded than its keeper alloy.
Shoot tips of grape were cultured in uitro and tried to identify optimal culture conditions for regeneration, multiple shoot formation from meristemoid tissue and those subsequent elongation of multi-shoots. Healthy growing shoots were taken in early May, rinsed with running tap water, soaked in a neutral detergent and washed with soft brushing, and washed out with tap water, then sterilized with 10g Ca(ClO)$_2$/140 mL distilled water (Wilson's solution) for 5 min. Survival percentage of the cultures which were sterilized as above procedures was highly increased, compared with the other sterilized method. Propagation of multi-shoots from meristemoid showed a good response in 3/4 strength MS medium enriched with 0.1 mg/L NAA and 3.0 mg/L BA. Shoot elongation from multi-shooting clump well occurred in 3/4 strength MS medium supplemented with 80 mg/L adenine sulfate, 0.1 mg/L NAA and 1.0~2.0 mg/L BA.

V. %) for the quartz determination was $7.70{\pm}2.68%$ from 10 to $200{\mu}g$ of quartz. 3) The precision for the sericite determination was $16.34{\pm}6.82%$ from 30 to $500{\mu}g$ of serictite. 4) The precision for the potassium feldspar determination was $5.28{\pm}1.74%$ from 30 to $500{\mu}g$ of potassium feldspar. 5) The concentration of respirable dust in Taebaek area was $4.90{\pm}3.29mg/m^3$ (0.4-93.7%), percent quartz was $1.80{\pm}4.14%$ (0.01-20.56%), percent sericite was $11.37{\pm}6.43%$ (0.00-29.69%), percent potassium feldspar was 8.15% (n=7, 3.41-19.70%). 6) The difference of respirable coal dust, quartz, and sericite concentrations in drilling, coal cutting, hauling and seperating was significant respectively (p<0.05).
In order to investigate the effect of tail state on the electrical and the optical properties in amorphous IGZO(a-IGZO), a-IGZO films were deposited at room temperature on fused silica substrats using pulsed laser deposition method. The laser pulse energy was used as the processing parameter. In-situ post annealing was carried out at $150^{\circ}C$ right after the film deposition. The $O_2$ partial pressure during the deposition and the post annealing was fixed to 10mTorr. The carrier mobility of the a-IGZO films had a range from 2 to $18\;cm^2/Vs$ at carrier concentrations greater than $10^{18}\;cm^{-3}$. As the laser energy density increased, the Hall mobility increased. And post annealing improved the Hall mobility, as well. The optical property was examined using the ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy. The a-IGZO films that have low Hall mobility exhibited stronger and broader absorption tails in >3.0 eV region. Post annealing reduced the intensity of the tail-like absorption. The absorption tail in a-IGZO films is an important factor which affects the electrical and the optical properties.
