9 kinds of nanoparticle used for this study was a particle with the size of less than 100 nm of diameter, and Artemia sp. cyst examined what kind of influence to have upon the process hatched out in nauplius. 82% hatched in nauplius at the opposition ward where a nanoparticle wasn't added after 24 time course. AGZ020, Nano silver, P-25, Sb and SnO nanoparticle showed hatching rate of 18%, 20%, 13%, 50% and 0% respectively by the 20mg/L density, and it became clear that a harmful effect is big, but I had a harmful effect compared with the opposition ward by 75%, 60%, 73% and 73% respectively by Ag-$TiO_2$, In, Sn and Zn nanoparticle, but a feeble thing was known relatively compared with AGZ020, Nano silver, P-25, Sb and SnO nanoparticle. The difference has caused this with the ingredient a nanoparticle has. Ag is included 2 % and AGZ020, Nano silver and P-25 nanoparticle are used widely as anti-fungus agent, and the SnO nanoparticle which became combination is a light catalyst pill, and oxygen is used for a Sn particle. This and others, a possibility that use is generalized and flows into aquatic environment in sequence the home electronics, functionality cosmetics, anti-fungus agent and a light catalyst pill at present becomes high for nanoparticles and others. The anxiety which has an influence on the ecology world in the water with this can be generated, so I'd have to study the potential danger a nanoparticle has continuously.

Polymer/inorganic composites were used as a protective layer of lihitum metal electrode for effective suppression of lithium dendrite. PVDF-HFP was used as an polymer material and TiO2 nanoparticle was used as an inorganic material. PVDF-HFP is a highly flexible polymer that acts as a matrix of inorganic materials while TiO2 nanoparticle improves the mechanical strength and ion conductivity of the protective layer. The as-synthesized protective hybrid membrane exhibited good dispersion of TiO2 in the PVDF-HFP matrix by SEM, AFM and XRD analyses. Furthermore, the electrochemical analysis showed that the polymer-inorganic composite retained high coulombic efficiency of 80% and low overpotential, less than 20 mV until the 100th cycles due to the improved mechanical properties and ion conductivity in comparison to the control sample (untreated and PVDF-HFP polymers/Cu).

A facile method for surface coating with $Li_2TiF_6$ which has a high lithium-ion conductivity, on $LiMn_2O_4$ spinel cathode material for high performance lithium ion batteries. The surface coating is performed by using a co-precipitation method with $Li_2CO_3$ powder and $H_2TiF_6$ solution under room temperature and atmospheric pressure without special equipment. Total coating amount of $Li_2TiF_6$ is carefully controlled from 0 to 10 wt.% based on the active material of $LiMn_2O_4$. They are evaluated by a systematic combination of analyses comprising with XRD, SEM, TEM and ICP. It is found that the surface modification of $Li_2TiF_6$ is very beneficial to high cycle life and excellent rate capability by reducing surface failure and supporting lithium ions transportation on the surface. The best coating condition is found to have a high cycle life of $103mAh\;g^{-1}$ at the 100th cycle and a rate capability of $102.9mAh\;g^{-1}$ under 20 C. The detail electrochemical behaviors are investigated by AC impedance and galvanostatic charge and discharge test.
The crystallization and morphology change of amorphous titanias by hydrothermal treatment have been investigated. The amorphous titanias were prepared by pure water hydrolysis of two different precursors, titanium tetraisopropoxide (TTIP) and TTIP modified with acetic acid (HOAc) and characterized prior to hydrothermal treatment. In order to avoid complicate situation, the hydrothermal treatment was performed in a single solvent water with and without strong acids at various temperatures. The effects of strong acid, temperature and time were systematically investigated on the transformation of amorphous titania to crystalline TiO2 under simple hydrothermal condition. Without strong acid the titanias were transformed into only anatase phase nanoparticle regardless of precursor type, temperature and time herein used (up to 250 ℃ and 48 hours). The treatment temperature and time effected only on the crystalline size, not on the crystal phase et al. However, it was clearly revealed that the strong acids such as HNO3 and HCl catalyzed the formation of rutile phase depending on temperature. HCl was slightly better than HNO3 in this catalytic activity. The morphology of rutile TiO2 formed was also a little affected by the type of acid. The precursor modifier, HOAc slightly reduced the catalytic activity of the strong acids in rutile phase formation.

In this study, e-beam equipment was used to form silver nanoparticles on thin films of $TiO_2$ to increase the efficiency of dye-sensitized solar cells and improve the annealing process. $TiO_2$ thin films with nanoparticle photoelectrodes were fabricated in individual units for use in dye-sensitized solar cells. The characteristics of dye-sensitized solar cells were compared to those of the prepared $TiO_2$ photoelectrode with and without nanoparticles. The dye-sensitized solar cells with silver nanoparticles showed a significant increase in the electric current density compared with the pure $TiO_2$ dye-sensitized solar cell and improved the solar conversion efficiency to 27.89%. The increased density of electric current increased the extent of light absorption of the dye owing to the plasmon resonance of the nanoparticles at the local surfaces. This phenomenon led to increased light scattering, which in turn increased the current density of the dye-sensitized solar cells and improved the solar conversion efficiency.
This study is about the mechanical properties of epoxy composite reinforced with nano $TiO_2$ particle. Tensile strength, fracture toughness, vicker's hardness and Izod Impact test were carried out to investigate the effect of particle size and content of $TiO_2$ on the mechanical properties of $TiO_2$/epoxy composites. The results showed that the strength of the $TiO_2$/epoxy composites were higher than that of the pure epoxy. The best improvement of tensile strength was achieved in case of the particle size was 21 nanometer and the content was 3 weight percent. However, the Izod Impact value and the Vicker's hardness of $TiO_2$/epoxy composites showed no clear tendency.
A novel self-humidifying composite membrane for the proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) at low humidity condition was developed. The Pt/$TiO_2$ catalyst particles were synthesized via supercritical impregnation methods. Pt precursor was dissolved in supercritical carbon dioxide and impregnated onto $TiO_2$ particles. Pt precursors were platinum(II) acetylacetonate, Dimethyl(1,5-cyclooctadiene) platinum(II) and we controlled the ratio of Pt to $TiO_2$. The impregnated Pt precursor was converted to $TiO_2$ supported Pt nanoparticle under various reducing conditions. Pt/$TiO_2$ catalyst particles were dispersed uniformly into the Nafion solution, and then Pt/$TiO_2$/Nafion composite membrane was prepared using solution-cast method. The self-humidifying composite membrane could minimize membrane conductivity loss under dry conditions due to the presence of catalyst and hydrophilic Pt/$TiO_2$ particles. To optimize the performance of MEA, amount of ionomer loading was controlled. And mixed catalysts were used. The cell performance of MEA was obviously improved under dry conditions at $65^{\circ}C$.
The effects of $TiO_2$ contents and UV irradiation treatment on the surface properties of PLA films embedded with $TiO_2$ nanoparticle were investigated. Whereas UV irradiation decreased reflectance of the treated PLA films proportionally with increasing UV energy, the reflectance of PLA/$TiO_2$ films increased with increasing UV energy. The UV irradiation treatment caused PLA/$TiO_2$ blend films more polar as indicated in the generation of new carbonyl group and decrease in zeta potentials, which was more pronounced with the introduction of $TiO_2$. Upon UV irradiation, $TiO_2$ particles appeared on the film surface as observed in SEM images. The PLA/$TiO_2$ blend films showed photocatalytic properties such as photobleaching of methylene blue, deodorization of ammonia and antimicrobial activity in comparison with pure PLA films.

The size, dispersion and content of the platinum had been characterized with Transmission Electron Micrograph (TEM), X-ray diffract ion (XRD) and Inductively Coupled Plasma - Atomic Emission Spectrometer (ICP-AES). The cell performance with the self-humidifying composite membrane was compared with a recast Nafion membrane under both humidified and dry conditions at 65 $^{\circ}C$.
