한국인 환자에서의 아미카신의 체내약물동태학적 파라메타에 관한 연구 (Studies on Pharmacokinetic Parameters of Amikacin in Korean Patients)

  • Pharmacokinetic parameters of aminoglycosides are dependent on renal function, sex, age, hematocrit, fever, lean body weight (LBW) and disease states, etc. Therefore, the individual pharmacokinetic parameters such as half life $(t^{1/2})$ and volume of distribution(Vd) are needed to achieve optimal therapy. However these parameters had not been determined in Koreans. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the Vd and $t^{1/2}$ of amikacin in Korean patients who had normal renal function, to compare the mean values of study group with that reported in the literature and to compare the measured $t^{1/2}$ with the expected $t^{1/2}$ based on actual body weight (ABW), LBW and ideal body weight (IBW), respectively. Based on data, the Vd was greater than the literature and $t^{1/2}$ was similar to the literature. The predicted $t^{1/2}$ based on IBW was the closest to actual $t^{1/2}$. And postpartum patients had greater Vd than other group and had lower correlation between actual elimination rate constant and calculated creatinine clearance but higher correlation between actual elimination rate constant and Vd than other group.

Oxantel pamoate의 편충(鞭虫)에 대한 구충효과(驅虫效果) (Anthelminthic Effect of Oxantel Pamoate against Trichocephalus trichiurus Infection)

  • The present clinical trial was performed to evaluate the anthelminthic effect and tolerance of Oxantel pamoate, a new antiwhipworm agent, in the treatment of T. trichiurus infection. Oxantel pamoate oral suspension was administered as a sing1e dose of 10 mg per kg. body weight to a total of 46 T. trichiurus infected cases selected out of 64 positives, by examining 89 fecal specimens collected from the soldiers and in-patients of xx Armed Forces General Hospital. For the evaluation, the negative conversion rate (cure rate) and the egg reduction rate were assessed 22 days after the treatment. The result obtained were as follows: 1. The prevalence rate of T. trichiurus infection in this study was 71.9%, while the mean E.P.G. of 46 treated cases was 126. 2. The egg negative conversion rate was 91.3%, and 98.4% of egg reduction rate was obtained. 3. From the observation of 107 worms expelled during 3 consecutive days after the treatment, it was known that sex ratio of male and female was about 1 : 2 and that average worm burden per capita was 2.3. 4. In all treated cases, the medication was readily accepted and well tolerated. On the hemograms, urinalysis and liver function tests, no significant differences were noted before and after the drug administration. There was also no detectable objective and subjective side effect.

Effect of 2Dimesion and 3Dimension Images on Human Factors

  • This study aims to examine the effects of watching 2D and 3D images on the blink rate. Regarding the image watch, their blink rate for 2D and 3D images was separately checked for 1 minute in the 1m distance, before the watch, after 15 minutes of watch, and after 30 minutes of watch. About the change of their blink rate in the 2D image watch, it tended to become higher than that before watching the image; however, there was no statistical significance (paired t-test, p=0.106, p=0.062). And in the 2D image watch, it tended to increase in comparison between after 15 minutes and after 30 minutes, but there was no statistical significance (paired t-test, p=0.623). Meanwhile, about the change of their blink rate in the 3D image watch, it tended to decrease statistically significantly both after 15 minutes and after 30 minutes when compared with that before watching the image (paired t-test, p=0.000, p=0.000). In the 3D image watch, it tended to increase in comparison between after 15 minutes and after 30 minutes; however, there was no statistical significance (paired t-test, p=0.867).

  • The rate of convergence to a random variable S for an almost certainly convergent series $S_n = \sum^n_{j=1} X_j$ of independent random variables is studied in this paper. More specifically, when $S_n$ converges to S almost certainly, the tail series $T_n = \sum^{\infty}_{j=n} X_j$ is a well-defined sequence of random variable with $T_n \to 0$ a.c. Various sets of conditions are provided so that for a given numerical sequence $0 < b_n = o(1)$, the tail series strong law of large numbers $b^{-1}_n T_n \to 0$ a.c. holds. Moreover, these results are specialized to the case of the weighted i.i.d. random varialbes. Finally, example are provided and an open problem is posed.

저온 수술 프로브용 소형 Joule-Thomson 냉동기의 설계 (Design of the miniature Joule-Thomson refrigerator as a cryoprobe)

  • The cryoprobe used in cryosurgery should be fabricated in milimeter-order size for its practical usage. In general a miniature J-T(Joule-Thomson) refrigerator is applied to a cryoprobe. In case of the miniature J-T refrigerator, the mass flow rate of working fluid is small due to considerable friction in a minute flow path. For that reason, the miniature J-T refrigerator has a limited cooling power. To obtain the large cooling power from the J-T refrigerator, the refrigerator should have large mass flow rate and effective J-T temperature drop. These quantities are closely related to the geometry of the heat exchanger and the expansion nozzle in a cryoprobe, and are contradictory. The large mass flow rate leads to the small J-T temperature drop and vice versa in the miniature J-T refrigerator. Therefore, the optimal design of a cryoprobe to achieve maximum cooling power at fixed tube size and fixed operating temperature is required. This paper presents the design procedure of such case.

선반 가공조건에 따른 경화처리된 A17075-T6 소재의 가공특성 변화에 관한 연구 (A Research on the Change of Cutting Characteristics in Hardened A17075-T6 Depending on Turning Conditions)

  • The cutting characteristics of hardened aluminum alloy A17075-T6 were investigated during turning processing. Under variation conditions of cutting speed, depth of cut, and feed rate, the characteristics of cutting force, surface roughness, and machined texture were investigated. Surface roughness became worse in proportion to the increase of the feed rate. The thickness of material alteration layer which is derived from the effect of cutting force was the biggest when feed rate 0.148mm/rev. This research confirmed that the deformed layer is dominantly dependent on the variation of feed rate.

점오염원 유입이 형산강하류 수질변화에 미치는 영향 (Influence of the Point Source Inflow on the Water Quality Variation in the Downstream of Hyeongsan River)

  • The influence of the point source inflow on the water quality variation in the downstream of Hyeongsan River was investigated. As the results of seasonal variation, the pollutant concentrations of dry season were 1.5-4 times higher than those of wet season. The increase rate of $BOD_5$, $COD_{Mn}$, T-N, T-P due to point source were ranged to $8.1\sim42.6%$, $7.3\sim41.9%$ and $17.1\sim207%$ as the inflow of P1, P2 and P3, respectively. After P1, P2 and P3 inflow, the accumulated increase rate were 64.3%, 32.6%, 93.1% and 258.9% in $BOD_5$, $COD_{Mn}$, T-N, T-P, respectively. It was found that the influence of point source inflow on the water quality in the downstream of Hyeongsan River is severe.

영양염류 제거를 위한 생물막 공정의 적용에 관한 연구 (A Study on apply of submerged biofilter for nutrient removal)

  • In this study the removal possibility of nutrients of T-P, NH3-N, NO3-N and T-N is examined through a positive experimental study using submerged biofilter of media packing channel method. From the analysis of nutrients removal efficiency for each run of the collected sample following results are obtained. Firstly the result of N/P surveying for inflow shows serious value that excess the limit value of 20 as the values are in the range of 12.0~42.7 and the average is 25.73. Secondly the highest concentration of the incoming NH3-N reaches double of the standard since the concentrations of NH3-N and NO3-N for inflow shows 0.06mg/$\ell$ and 2.5~3.8mg/$\ell$ respectively and the average removal rate which passed the submerged biofilter adopted in this study is a satisfactory level. Next the average removal rate of T-P of 51.5% shows the possiblity of entrophication removal since the removal rate of T-P of 66.8~68.8% in relative low temperature period of RUN 1~2 appeared higher than in RUN 3~6 and T-N shows relatively poor result with the average removal rate of 34.1% And it is known that the bigger BOD/P and BOD/N are the more removal rate increases from the examination result of the relation between BOD/P and BOD/N and the treatment water T-P and T-N to decide the relation with the concentration of organic matters and though that the appropriate proportion is necessary for effective removal of nitrogen and phsophorus.

  • Comprehensive numerical computations are made of a homogenous spin-up in a cylindrical cavity with a time-dependent rotation rate. Numerical solutions are acquired to the governing axisymmetric cylindrical Navier-Stokes equation. A rotation rate formula is ${\Omega}_f={\Omega}_i+{\Delta}{\Omega}(1-{\exp}(-t/t_c))$. If $t_c$ is large, it implies that a rotation change rate is small. The Ekman number, E, is set to $10^{-4}$ and the aspect ratio, R/H, fixed to I. For a linear spin-up(${\epsilon}<<$), the major contributor to spin-up in the interior is not viscous-diffusion term but inviscid term, especially Coriolis term, though $t_c$ is very large. The viscous-diffusion term only works near sidewall. But for spin-up from rest, when $t_c$ is very large, viscous-diffusion term affects interior area as well as sidewall, initially. So azimuthal velocity of interior for large $t_c$ appears faster than that of interior for relatively small $t_c$. However, the viscous-diffusion term of interior decreases as time increases. Instead, inviscid term appears in the interior.

무산소조에서 고농도 미생물을 이용한 하수고도처리공정의 처리특성 (Characteristics of Advanced Wastewater Treatment Process Using High MLSS in Anoxic Tank)

  • This study was accomplished to develope an advanced wastewater treatment process using high MLSS in anoxic tank aimed to improve nutrient removal and to reduce wasting sludge. It was operated with 4 Modes with varing solid concentration and internal recycle ratios. Mode I, II, III was operated 1.0~1.5% MLSS concentration at anoxic tank with 50% sludge recycle rate, however, each internal recycle rate were 100%, 200%, 300% and Mode IV was operated 1.5~2.0% MLSS concentration at anoxic tank with 50% sludge recycle rate and 100% internal recycle rate. The COD removal efficiency didn't show any big difference from Mode I to IV. The average COD removal rate was over than 90%. The T-N removal rate was 73%, the highest rate in all mode. The 36% of SCOD is used for the denitrification and phosphorus release in the anoxic tank. Specific denitrification rate was 3.5mg $NO_3{^-}-N/g$ Mv/hr and denitrification time was 0.7hr. As MLSS concentration is higher in anoxic tank as denitrification time would be shorter. The T-P removal rate was average 70%. The phosphorus release accomplished from the anoxic tank because the anaerobic condition was prevalent in the anoxic due to the prompt completion of denitrification. Sludge production was 0.28 kgVSS/kg $BOD_{removed}$ under the 1.5% MLSS and 17 day SRT. It is prominent result which has 40% sludge reduce comparing with traditional activate sludge system.
