메탄의 부분산화에 의한 메탄올 직접 합성 (Direct Methanol Synthesis by Partial Oxidation of Methane)

  • 페롭스카이트 촉매와 Mo, Bi를 기본으로 하는 복합 산화물 촉매를 이용하여 천연가스의 주성분인 메탄의 부분산화를 통하여 메탄올을 직접 합성하였다. 페롭스카이트($ABO_3$) 촉매는 A 및 B site 성분을 변화시키면서 사과산법으로 제조하였으며, Mo, Bi를 기본으로 하는 3성분계 복합 산화물 촉매는 공침법으로 제조하여 반응특성을 살펴보았다. 페롭스카이트 촉매에서 A site에 알칼리 금속인 Sr을, B site에 전이금속인 Cr을 도입한 $SrCrO_3$ 촉매가 $400^{\circ}C$에서 메탄올 선택도 11%로 가장 우수한 결과를 보였다. Mo, Bi를 기본으로 하는 3성분계 복합 산화물 촉매의 경우 모든 촉매에서 메탄 전환율에는 큰 차이를 보이지 않았으며, Cr을 첨가한 Mo-Bi-Cr 복합 산화물 촉매가 $400^{\circ}C$에서 메탄올 선택도 15.3%로 가장 우수한 결과를 나타냈다. 3성분계 복합 산화물 촉매에서 촉매의 활성과 메탄올 선택도는 촉매의 표면적에 정비례하였다.

  • Temporal and spatial distribution patterns of the magmatic rocks and associated ore deposits in the Mesozoic magmatic - metallogenic belt along the Yangtz River, Anhui Province are used to determine and discuss the crust - mantle interaction processes. The magmatic rocks are Cu - Au mineralized high - K calc - alkalic intermediate ¬acidic (CAK) and Fe - Cu mineralized high - Na alkalic - calc intermediate - basic intrusive rocks (FCN) in the central part of the belt and grade to Cu - Mo - Pb - Zn - Ag mineralized calc - alkalic granitoids (CMG) and A - type granites (AG) in the southern and northern parts of the belt. Samples from the CAK and CMG yield Rb - Sr isochron ages of 137 - 140Ma with $(^{87}Sr/^{86}Sr)_{o}$ = 0.7060 - 0.7101, while those from the FCN and AG yield the ages of 120 - 129Ma with $(^{87}Sr/^{86}Sr)_{o}$ = 0.7047 - 0.7077. The Sr isotope ratios, CriTh ratios 0.4 - 3.1), Eu/Eu* ratios < 0.79 - 1.05) and initial epsilon (Nd) values (-16.6 - -6.3) for the CAK and CMG are consistent with magma derivation from old metamorphic basement rocks rich in metallogenic elements through a two - stage process of mantle - derived magma underplating caused by primary lithosphere extension and subsequent partial melting. On the basis of Sr isotope data, CriTh ratios (3.4 - 13.8), Eu/Eu* ratios (0.86 - 1.13) and initial epsilon (Nd) values (-7.7 - +1.4), the FCN and AG are considered to be formed through syntexis with material input from the mantle that resulted from further lithosphere extension followed by mantle - derived magma underplating on a large scale.

  • $Eu^{3+}$ 이온의 농도비를 변화시키면서 고상 반응법을 사용하여 적색 형광체 $Sr_{1-1.5x}MoO_4:Eu_x{^{3+}}$ 분말을 합성하였다. 제조한 형광체의 결정 구조는 X-선 회절 장치를 사용하여 정방정계임을 확인하였고, 광학 특성은 형광 광도계를 사용하여 상온에서 측정하였다. $Eu^{3+}$ 이온의 농도비가 0.01 mol인 형광체의 경우에, 파장 295 nm로 여기시켰을 때 주된 발광은 파장 619 nm에 최대 세기를 갖는 적색 형광을 나타내었으며, 최대 흡수 스펙트럼은 넓은 밴드를 갖고 파장 302 nm에서 관측되었다.

  • ${Li_2}{CO_3}$ and MgO doped paraelectric ${Ba_{0.5}}{Sr_{0.5}}{TiO_3}$, materials were prepared and compared for LTCC applications. In these days LTCC (Low Temperature Co-fired Ceramics) technology has been widely employed for electronic modules for the communication systems such as front-end modules, antenna modules, and switching modules. In this paper, 1 ${\sim}$ 5 wt % of ${Li_2}{CO_3}$, and 30 wt % of MgO were added to ${Ba_{0.5}}{Sr_{0.5}}{TiO_3}$, respectively. The crystalline properties and electrical properties will be compared and discussed.

비스무스 층구조형 페로브스카이트 SrBi2Nb2O9 강유전체의 이온 치환 효과 (Ionic Doping Effect in Bi-layered Perovskite SrBi2Nb2O9 Ferroelectrics)

  • Doping effect of various ions in Bi-layered ferroelectric $SrBi_2$$Nb_2$$O_{9}$ (SBN) ceramics was studied. Undoped SBN ceramic and SBN ceramics doped with $Ba^{2+}$, $Pb^{2+}$,$ Ca^{2+}$ , $Bi^{3+}$ , $La^{3+}$ , $Ti^{4+}$ , $Mo^{6+}$ , and $W^{6+}$ ions were made by a solid state reaction. Dielectric constants were measured with temperature. Ferroelectric transition temperature decreased with $Pb^{2+}$ , $Ba^{2+}$ , $La^{3+}$ doping, but the transition temperature increased with $Ca^{2+}$ , $Bi^{3+}$ , $Ti^{4+}$, $Mo^{6+}$ , or$ W^{6+}$ ionic doping. These results show that the ion size plays an important role in the ferroelectricity of SBN ceramic.

The Enhanced Magnetic Transition Temperature in Double Perovskites A2FeMoO6 (A=Ca, Sr and Ba) : Electron Doping Effects

  • We have studied effects of the partial substitution of $La^{3+}$ for $A^{2+}$ on the magnetic properties of double perovskites $A_2FeMoO_6$ (A=Ca, Sr and Ba). Polycrystalline $A_{2-x}La_xFeMoO_6(0{\leq}x{\leq}0.2)$ samples have been prepared by the conventional solid-state reaction in a stream of 5% $H_2$/Ar gas. The x-ray data indicate that A=Ca is monoclinic with the space group P$2_1$/n, A=Sr is tetragonal with the space group I4/mmm, and A=Ba is cubic with the space group Fm3m. The substitution of $La^{3+}$ for $A^{2+}$ results in a cell volume increase for A=Ca and a cell volume reduction for A=Ba. The decrease of saturation magnetization with increasing x arises from the reduction of magnetic moment associated with the electron doping and the disorder at the Fe and Mo sites. The partial substitution of magnetic $La^{3+}$ for $A^{2+}$ considerably enhances the Curie temperature $T_c$ from 316 K for x = 0 to 334 K for x = 0.2. This enhancement of $T_c$ with $La^{3+}$ doping originates from electron doping effects in addition to ionic size ones.

Magnetic Properties and Magnetocaloric Effect in Ordered Double Perovskites Sr1.8Pr0.2FeMo1-xWxO6

  • We report the structural, magnetic and magnetocaloric properties of $Sr_{1.8}Pr_{0.2}FeMo_{1-x}W_xO_6$($0.0{\leq}x{\leq}0.4$) samples prepared by the conventional solid state reaction method. The X-ray diffraction analysis confirms the formation of the tetragonal double perovskite structure with a I4/mmm space group in all the synthesized samples. The temperature dependent magnetization measurements reveal that all the samples go through a ferromagnetic to paramagnetic phase transition with an increasing temperature. The Arrott plot obtained for each synthesized sample demonstrates the second order nature of the magnetic phase transition. A magnetic entropy change is obtained from the magnetic isotherms. The values of maximum magnetic entropy change and relative cooling power at an applied field of 2.5 T are found to be $0.40Jkg^{-1}K^{-1}$ and $69Jkg^{-1}$ respectively for the $Sr_{1.8}Pr_{0.2}FeMoO_6$ sample. The tunability of magnetization and excellent magnetocaloric features at low applied magnetic field make these materials attractive for use in magnetic refrigeration technology.

Preparation of 27Ni6Zr4O143M(M=Mg, Ca, Sr, or Ba)O/70 Zeolite Y Catalysts and Hydrogen-rich Gas Production by Ethanol Steam Reforming

  • In this study the effects of adding alkaline-earth (IIA) metal oxides to NiZr-loaded Zeolite Y catalysts were investigated on hydrogen rich production by ethanol steam reforming (ESR). Four kinds of alkaline-earth metal (Mg, Ca, Sr, or Ba) oxides of 3.0% by weight were loaded between the $Ni_6Zr_4O_{14}$ main catalytic species and the microporous Zeolite Y support. The characterizations of these catalysts were examined by XRD, TEM, $H_2$-TPR, $NH_3$-TPD, and XPS. Catalytic performances during ESR were found to depend on the basicity of the added alkaline-earth metal oxides and $H_2$ production and ethanol conversion were maximized to 82% and 98% respectively in 27($Ni_6Zr_4O_{14}$)3MgO/70Zeolite Y catalyst at $600^{\circ}C$. Many carbon deposits and carbon nano fibers were seen on the surface of $30Ni_6Zr_4O_{14}$/70Zeolite Y catalyst but lesser amounts were observed on alkaline-earth metal oxide-loaded 27($Ni_6Zr_4O_{14}$)3MO/70Zeolite Y catalysts in TEM photos after ESR. This study demonstrates that hydrogen yields from ESR are closely related to the acidities of catalysts and that alkaline-earth metal oxides reduce the acidities of 27($Ni_6Zr_4O_{14}$)3MO/70Zeolite Y catalysts and promote hydrogen evolution by preventing progression to hydrocarbons.

BST 세라믹 저온소결에 $Li_2CO_3$와 ZnBO가 미치는 영향 (Effective of $Li_2CO_3$ and ZnBO for low temperature sintered $(Ba_{0.5},Sr_{0.5})TiO_3$ ceramics)

  • The $(B_{0.5},Sr_{0.5})TiO_3$ ceramics, which added with low sintering materials $Li_2CO_3$ and ZnBO, was investigated for LTCC(low temperature co-fired ceramic) applications. To compare sintering temperature of $(B_{0.5},Sr_{0.5})TiO_3$ respectively, we added 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5wt% of $Li_2CO_3$ and ZnBO to $(B_{0.5},Sr_{0.5})TiO_3$. For confirming the sintering temperature, the respective specimens were sintered from $750^{\circ}C$ to $1200^{\circ}C$ by $50^{\circ}C$. The case of $Li_2CO_3$ greatly lowered the sintering temperature of $(B_{0.5},Sr_{0.5})TiO_3$ ($1350^{\circ}C$) below $900^{\circ}C$. The addition of ZnBO improved the loss tangent of $(B_{0.5},Sr_{0.5})TiO_3$. The crystalline structure of $LiCO_3$ doped $(B_{0.5},Sr_{0.5})TiO_3$ and ZnBO doped $(B_{0.5},Sr_{0.5})TiO_3$ was analyzed with the X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis. The dielectric permittivity and loss tangent of $Li_2CO_3$ doped BST and ZnBO doped BST were measured with the HP 4284A precision. From the electrical characterization, we respectively obtained the dielectric permittivity 1361, loss tangent $6.94{\times}10^{-3}$ at $Li_2CO_3$ doped $(B_{0.5},Sr_{0.5})TiO_3$ (3wt%) and the dielectric constant 1180, loss tangent $3.70{\times}10^{-3}$ at ZnBO doped $(B_{0.5},Sr_{0.5})TiO_3$(5wt%).

$K_2MnO_4/Al_2O_3$촉매를 이용한 과산화수소 기화기의 성능평가 (Performance Evaluation of Hydrogen Peroxide Vaporizer with $K_2MnO_4/Al_2O_3$ Catalyst)

  • 고농도 과산화수소는 별도의 산화제가 필요치 않은 단일추진제로써 상온에서 액상인 장점이 있어 다양한 장치의 추진제로 이용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 고온촉매인 $La_{0.8}Sr_{0.2}CoO_3(LSC)$촉매의 저온 시동성능의 보완을 위해 은, 백금, LSC, 망간계열촉매를 후보군으로 하여 과산화수소 가스발생기의 기화기 촉매를 실험적으로 선정하였다. 또한 이 때 발견된 망간계열촉매의 접착문제를 해결하고자 알루미나 졸-겔법을 이용한 촉매 합성법과 코팅 방법을 개발하였다. 그리고 코팅된 $K_2MnO_4/Al_2O_3$촉매와 LSC와의 드롭-테스트를 통해 상온에서의 반응성과 응답특성을 비교하였고, 가스발생기를 이용한 반응실험을 통해 설계유량에 적합한 기화기의 길이를 측정하였다.
