국민학교 학동의 혈압에 관련된 요인분석 (Risk Factors in Relation to Blood Pressure in Schoolchildren)

  • 대구시내 1개 국민학교 4학년 284명(남아 144명, 여아 140명)을 대상으로, 1992년 5월에 일반적인 특성을 조사하였고, 체격, 체지방 및 혈압을 측정하였으며, 혈액의 생화학적 검사를 실시하여 혈압과 관련된 요인을 분석하였다. 대상자의 평균 수축기 혈압은 103.5mmHg였으며, 남아가 104.1mmHg, 여아가 102.9mmHg로 남아가 약간 높게 나타났으며, 평균 확장기 혈압은 67.1mmHg이고, 남아가 66.6mmHg, 여아가 67.5mmHg로 여아가 약간 높았다. 수축기 및 확장기 혈압을 종속변수로 총콜레스테롤, 고밀도 지단백 콜레스테롤, 저밀도 지단백 콜레스테롤, 중성지방, 총단백질, 요산, 혈당, R$\ddot{o}$hrer지수, 체지방 비율, 체지방 무게 및 제지방체중을 독립변수로 하여 상관관계와 중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 수축기 및 확장기혈압과 독립변수들과의 상관관계를 성별에 따라 분석한 결과 남아의 수축기혈압은 신장, 체중, R$\ddot{o}$hrer지수, 제지방 체중, 체지방 무게 및 중성지방과 유의한 상관관계가 있었으며(p<0.01). 여아의 수축기혈압은 신장, 체중, 제지방체중 및 요산과 유의한 상관관계가 있었다(p<0.01). 남아의 확장기혈압은 체중, R$\ddot{o}$hrer지수 및 제지방체중과 유의한 상관관계가 있었으며(p<0.01). 여아의 확장기혈압은 체중, 제지방체중(p<0.01), 신장, 체지방무게 및 총단백질(p<0.05)과 유의한 상관관계가 있었다. 수축기 혈압을 종속변수로 한 중회귀분석에서 남아는 R$\ddot{o}$hrer지수와 sodium이 유의한 변수였고, 여아는 요산, R$\ddot{o}$hrer지수 및 체지방 비율이 유의한 변수였다. 확장기 혈압에서 남아는 R$\ddot{o}$hrer지수가 유의한 변수였고, 여아는 총단백질이 유의한 변수였다. 이상의 결과로 보아 소아의 혈압에 영향을 미치는 인자로는 R$\ddot{o}$hrer지수, sodium, 요산, 총단백질 및 체지방 비율 이었고, 그 중 R$\ddot{o}$hrer지수가 가장 중요한 요인으로 인정되었다. 따라서 고혈압 발생을 예방하기 위해서는 비만, 식이 및 이와 관련된 생활양식의 개선과 이에 대한 보건교육이 요망된다.

A-mode 식 초음파기를 이용한 한국인의 피하지방 측정 (Measurement of Subcutaneous Fat Thickness of the Korean by A-Mode Type Ultrasonic Instrument)

  • 초음파기(A-mode type, TATT, TH-500, Datoherutsu Co, Japan)를 이용하여 20-39세의 한국 사람들의 삼두박근, 견갑골하부, 장골위, 대퇴부의 피하지방을 측정하고, 이 피하지방 두께와 표준체중, 상대체중(relative body weight, RBW), body mass index(BMI), $R\ddot{o}hrer$지수와의 상관관계를 알아 보았다. 남성에서는 장골위의 피하지방 두께가 $9.04{\sim}9.51mm$로 가장 크고, 견갑골 아래가 $9.04{\sim}9.51mm$, 대퇴부가 $6.48{\sim}7.04mm$, 삼두박근이 3.48${\sim}$3.69mm이었다. 피하지방 두께와 여러 신체 지수와의 상관관계를 보면 삼두박근의 피하지방 두께와 BMI(r=0.618), $R\ddot{o}hrer$지수(r= 0.622)가, 장골위의 피하지방 두께와 체중(r=0.551). RBW(r=0.457), BMI(.= 0.478), $R\ddot{o}hrer$ 지수(r=0.418), 견갑골 하부의 피하지방 두께(r=0.433)가 양의 상관관계가 있었다. 여성에서는 대퇴부의 피하지방 두께가 $11.85{\sim}12.15mm$로 가장 크고 장골위가 $8.79{\sim}9.87mm$9.87mm, 견갑골하부 $6.21{\sim}6.91mm$, 삼두박근이 $4.80{\sim}4.93mm$이며, 대퇴부의 피하지방 두께가 RBW(r=0.339), BMI(r=0.347), $R\ddot{o}hrer$ 지수(r=0.330)와 양의 상관관계를 나타냈다. 남성의 경우 삼두박근의 피하지방 두께가 RBW, BMI, $R\ddot{o}hrer$지수와 상관관계가 있었고, 장골위의 피하지방 두께는 RBW, BMI, $R\ddot{o}hrer$ 지수외에 체중과도 상관관계가 있었으므로 초음파를 이용한 피하지방측정은, 남성은 장골위가 가장 유용함을 알 수 있었고, 여성의 경우는 대퇴부의 피하지방 두께가 RBW, BMI, $R\ddot{o}hrer$ 지수와 상관관계가 있었으므로 대퇴부의 피하지방 측정이 가장 유용함을 알 수 있었다. 비만 측정에서 초음파 장치는 여러 가지 장점이 있으므로 앞으로 이에 대한 연구가 있어야겠다.

대구지역(大邱地域) 일부(一部) 국민학교(國民學校) 아동(兒童)의 비만도별(肥滿度別) 체지방(體脂肪) 비율(比率)과 혈청지질치(血淸脂質値) (Body Fat Percent and Serum Lipid Level of School Children by Obesity Index)

  • This study was conducted to identify the relationship between body fat percent/serum lipid level and obesity index among school children. The study subjects were 277 boys and 266 girls aged between 10 and 11 years old in a selected elementary school in Taegu City. The survey was conducted for the period of two months from May 1 to June 30, 1993. A $R{\ddot{o}}hrer$index(weight/height3) was calculated for each individual as a measure of obesity. Three groups were classified as underweight($R{\ddot{o}}hrer$ index < 109), normal($109{\leq}$ $R{\ddot{o}}hrer$ index < 140), and overweight ($R{\ddot{o}}hrer$ index ${\geq}140$). As for the body fat percent, fat weight, lean body mass were measured by impedance fat, meter(Model SIF-891). Serum total cholesterol. high-density lipoprotein, and triglyceride were measured by automated clinical chemistry analyzer(Astra system). Obesity was found 18.1% in boys and 14.7% in girls. Body weight, fat percent, fat weight, and lean body mass were significantly different among three groups classified by $R{\ddot{o}}hrer$ index in both sexes. Serum total cholesterol, triglyceride, atherogenic index and T-CHO/HDL ratio were also significantly different among three groups in both sexes. Serum total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein, trigylceride, atherogenic index of boys were positively correlated with height, weight. $R{\ddot{o}}hrer$ index, fat weight, lean body mass, and triglyceride. The negative correlation was found in high-density lipoprotein against height, weight, Rohrer index, fat percent, fat weight, lean body mass. Triglyceride and atherogenic index of the girls were positively correlated with height, weight, $R{\ddot{o}}hrer$ index, fat percent, fat weight, lean body mass. The negative correlation was found in high-density lipoprotein against height, weight, $R{\ddot{o}}hrer$ index, fat percent, fat weight, lean body mass. These findings suggest that the prevention of obesity and hyperlipidemia among school children is very important. Thus adoption of healthy life-style is strongly recommended in school health programs in order to prevent the obesity and hyperlipidemia.

주요 비만 판정 지수의 비만 기준 비교 (A Comparative Study on Obesity Judgment Criteria in the Frequently used Obesity Indices)

  • R$\ddot{o}$hrer index, Vervaeck index and Body Mass Index(BMI) are frequently used in order to judge obese subjects in clothing & textiles field. However, there are no certain criteria of judging the degree of obesity. Each researcher utilized these obesity indices according to their own criteria so far. Therefore, the purpose of the study is to suggest a reliable obesity index and new criteria for judging the degree of obesity. The results are as follows; Utilizing frequency analysis, main percentiles, minimums, maximums and ranges were presented by 5 age groups from twenties to sixties. Obesity rates dramatically increased, the subject got older. Especially, obesity rate of the subjects in their fifties and sixties were much higher than other age groups. 1.6 & higher can be used in the R$\ddot{o}$hrer index, 98 & higher can be used in the Vervaeck index, and 25 & higher can be used in the BMI as the Optimal criteria of the obesity. Total of 24 body measurements and 3 obesity indices were used for analyzing the correlation analysis. All heights measurements showed negative correlation with the 3 obesity indices. It is determined heights measurements have high correlation with R$\ddot{o}$hrer index compare to other indices. Crotch height, interscye back, neck shoulder point to breast point, bust circumference, waist circumference, upper arm circumference and armscye circumference have high positive correlation with all obesity indices. According to the ANOVAs by each percentile group of the R$\ddot{o}$hrer and Vervaeck indices, there are big significances in all measurements and obesity indices except arm length. In general, heights decreased significantly by getting bigger, while circumferences and lengths, widths and indices increased rapidly by getting bigger. The results of the analysis by each percentile group in the BMI, it showed the significant differences in the all measurements except cervical height and arm length. There were similar tendency of differences according to the degree of the obesity in BMI percentile groups. It was confirmed that the BMI is the most reliable index for judging the obesity owing to the high correlations and significant differences with other measurements.

안전한 작업 환경 구축을 위한 서울 시민들의 비만도에 관한 연구 (A Study on Obesity Index of the Citizen in Seoul for Establishment of Safe Work Environments)

  • Recently, obesity that is increasingly becoming a major cause of various diseases and safety accidents in work places is emerging as a serious social problem. It is due to economic growth and improvement of living environments. Many researches are trying to find the root cause of obesity. Thus, the main objective of this study is to analyze obesity index of citizens in Seoul which is a metropolis of Korea and a densely populated district. The data used in this study included 179 men and 152 woman subjects who are living in Seoul. Somatotype using $R\ddot{o}hrer$ Index can be classified by 3 types (thin, standard, obesity). In order to analyze a detailed somatotype of citizens, age groups are divided into $30{\sim}34,\;35{\sim}39,\;40{\sim}49,\;and\;50{\sim}59$ years according to gender, respectively. In order to compare and analyze data, Coefficient of Variance, Cronbach's Alpha, $R\ddot{o}hrer$ Idex and Drop Value were used in this study. The results of this study can be applied to the comfortable and safe work environments for workers.

  • The main objective of this paper is to provide analysis of obesity index of residents in six metropolitan cities. According to analysis of $R{\ddot{o}}hrer$ Index, there was significant difference regionally between men and women in metropolitan cities. Through analysis of Drop Value, it was found that there were significant differences regionally between men and women in metropolitan cities on circumferences of chest, waist and buttocks. The result of this research can be utilized in manufacturing and design of uniforms and equipments for safety.

  • The main objective of this study is to suggest the new sizing system proper to the boys in the high school students by classifying their somatotype for the development of educational environment and uniform. The sample for this work was chosen from data which were collected and measured by Size Korea during two years $(2003\sim2004)$. In order to analyze feature of the somatotype of boys in the high school students, analysis was performed about 479 subjects on 37 body parts such as height (9 parts), width (5 parts), thickness (6 parts), circumference (7 parts), length (8 parts), body weight and $R\ddot{o}hrer$ Index. The result of this study can be utilized in various fields such as design of classroom, student uniforms, facilities and equipments for education at high school and university, etc.

여자 고등학생들의 지방 구분선에 따른 체형 특성 분석 (Analysis of Somatotype Characteristic according to Dividing Line of District on High School Girls)

  • There are two parts(middle and southern) according to dividing line of district in Korea. Middle part contains Kang Won, Chung Chung, Gyeong Gi, Seoul, In Cheon and Dae Jeon. Southern part contains Gyeong Sang, Jeol La, Je Ju, Bu San, Dae Gu, Ul San, and Gwang Ju. It is known that there are some differences between middle and southern part on weather. The climatic differences might affect human body. Thus, the mall objective of this study is to analyze effects of climatic differences which influence somatotype characteristics on residents in two regions. In order to compare and analyze data, $R\ddot{o}hrer$ index and drop-value were used. Also, this paper provides typical ratios according to dividing line of district.

  • Somatotype is a very important factor for the comfortable and safe work environments. Many researches are trying to find the characteristics of somatotype according to age. Thus, the main objective of this study is to analyze somatotype of male residents in Seoul. The data used in this study included 267 men subjects who are living in Seoul. In order to analyze a detailed somatotype of citizens, age groups are divided into six groups. In order to compare and analyze data, Coefficient of Variance, Cronbach's Alpha, $R\ddot{o}hrer$ Index and Drop Value were used in this study. The results of this study can be applied to the comfortable and safe work environments for workers.

능이 버섯이 고지방식이에 의한 고지혈증 비만 쥐에 미치는 영향 (Effects of the Sarcodon aspratus on the High Level of Blood Lipid and Obesity Induced by High Fat-diet in Rat)

  • 능이버섯의 항비만 건강식품으로서의 이용가능성을 분석하였다. 고지방식이에 의해 유도된 비만쥐에 6주 동안 능이버섯 분말을 섭취시켜, 능이버섯의 효과를 알아보기 위하여 비만지수, 혈청지질, 장기무게 등의 여러 가지 요인들을 분석하였다. 고지방식이를 먹인 쥐 혈청의 중성지방, 총콜레스테롤 및 Ldl은 유의적으로 증가하였으나 능이버섯분말을 먹인 쥐는 증가하지 않았다. 고지방식이 쥐에서 R$\ddot{o}$hrer index는 대조군에 비해 유의적으로 증가하였으나 버섯 분말을 섭취한 쥐는 R$\ddot{o}$hrer index가 유의적으로 감소하였다. 특히 몸무게에 대한 간 무게의 비율은 대조군에 비해 비만식이 쥐에서 높았다. 이러한 결과들은 버섯을 먹인 쥐에서의 비만지수와 장기무게의 유의적인 변화는 혈청에서 중성지방의 감소 때문인 것으로 생각된다. 그렇기 때문에 능이버섯은 비만과 관련된 질병을 막을 수 있는 건강식품의 하나로 이용 될 수 있는 가능성이 있다.
