Kinetics and Stereochemistry of CO Substitution Reactions of Half-Open Chromocene Carbonyls(Ⅰ): Reactions of Cp($C_{5}H_{7}$)CrCO and Phosphines

  • The CO substitution reactions in the complex, $Cp(S-C_5H_7)CrCO$ with $PR_3(PR_3=PMePh_2,\;P(OCH_3)_3,\;PMe_2Ph)$ were investigated spectrophotometrically at various temperatures. From the reaction rates, it was suggested that the CO substitution reaction takes place by first-order (dissociative) pathway. Activation parameters in decaline are ${\Delta}H^{\neq}\;=\;24.58\;kcal\;{\cdot}\;mol^{-1},\;{\Delta}S^{\neq}\;=\;3.05 cal\;{\cdot}\;mol^{-1}{\cdot}K^{-1}$. Unusually low value of ${\Delta}S^{\neq}$ suggests an ${\eta}^5-S\;{\to}\;{\eta}^5-U$ conversion of the pentadienyl ligand. This was confirmed by the extended-Huckel molecular orbital (EHMO) calculations, which revealed that the total energy Of $Cp(S-C_5H_7)CrCO$ is about 6.84 kcal/mol more stable than that of $Cp(U-C_5H_7)CrCO$ and the energy of $[Cp(U-C_5H_7)CrCO^{\neq}$ transition state is about 4.25 kcal/mol lower than that of $[Cp(S-C_5H_7)Cr]^{\neq}$ transition state.

  • The synthesis and characterization of ${K_3[Ru(C_2O_4)3]{\cdot}4H_2O\;(C_2O_4}^{2-}$ = oxalato anoin) complex are described, and its redox properties (in buffer solution of pH = 12) have been investigated. This complex is used for in situ generation of oxoruthenates complexes which have been characterized by electronic spectroscopy. Reaction of ${K_3[Ru(C_2O_4)3]{\cdot}4H_2O$ with excess ${S_2O_8}^{2-}$ in molar KOH generates trans-${[RuO_3(OH)_2]^{2-}/S_2O_8}^{2-}$ reagent while with excess ${BrO_3}^-$ in molar $Na_2CO_3$ generates ${[RuO_4]^-/BrO_3}^-$ reagent. Avoiding the direct use of [$RuO_4$] the organic-soluble $(n-Pr_4N)^+[RuO_4]^-$, (TPAP) has been isolated by reaction of $K_3[Ru(C_2O_4)3]{\cdot}4H_2O$ with excess ${BrO_3}^-$ in molar carbonate and n-$Pr_4$NOH. In a mixture of $H_2O/CCl_4$ ruthenium tetraoxide can be generated by reaction of $K_3[Ru(C_2O_4)3]{\cdot}4H_2O$ with excess ${IO_4}^-$. The catalytic activities of oxoruthenates that have been made from $K_3[Ru(C_2O_4)3]{\cdot}4H_2O$ towards the oxidation of benzyl alcohol, piperonyl alcohol, benzaldehyde and benzyl amine at room temperature have been studied.

병저항성 육종을 위한 고추 유전자원의 저항성 평가 (Evaluation of Pepper Genetic Sources (Capsicum spp.) for Disease Resistance Breeding)

  • 본 시험은 고추의 육종을 위한 병 저항성 고추를 선발하고자 하였다. 국내에서 시판중인 역병 저항성 품종인 PR계통 21품종, 미국에서 도입해온 36품종과 역병감수성 품종인 '슈퍼마니따'를 사용하여 역병, 탄저병, 흰가루병의 병 저항성 검정을 수행하였다. $Phytophthora$ $capsici$에 의해 발병하는 고추역병의 유묘검정은 서로 다른 교배형(A1, A2, Sterile)을 가지는 3 균주를 사용하여 접종하였다. 그 결과 대부분의 PR계통 고추들은 각각의 교배형에 대하여 저항성 또는 중도저항성을 나타내는 것으로 조사되었다. '역강홍장군'은 서로 다른 교배형의 세 가지 균주에 대하여 저항성을 나타냈으며, 'PR-다따'와 'PR-마니따'는 각각의 교배형에 저항성 또는 중도저항성을 보였다. 외래종의 경우, 'NuMex J.E.Parker', 'Omni Color'과 'SCM-334' 품종은 세 가지 균주에 저항성을 나타냈고, 'Sweet Banana'와 'Tabasco'를 포함한 몇몇 품종들은 각각의 균주에 중도저항성을 나타냈다. 흰가루병에 대하여 'Orange Habanero', 'black Cuban'은 저항성을 나타냈으며, '슈퍼마니따'와 'PR 금동'은 중도저항성을 나타냈다. 'Santa Fe Grnade', 'NuMex Pinata' 품종은 흰가루병에 매우 심한 감수성인 것으로 조사되었다. 탄저병의 경우, 'Aji Limon'과 'C. baccatum var. pendelum 3-4' 품종은 저항성인 것으로 조사되었다. 'Pobalno', 'Omni Color', 'Negro', 'Mesilla', 'Mulato', 'Bhut Jolokia', 'Big Dipper', 'Black Cuban', 'NuMex Pinata'와 'NuMex Big Jim'은 중도저항성을 나타내는 것으로 조사되었다. '태산'을 제외한 대부분의 PR계통들은 탄저병에 대하여 감수성 내지 심한 감수성인 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구에서 확인된 저항성 개체는 이후에 고추 병저항성 육종에 유용한 유전자원으로 이용될 수 있다.

혼합과채쥬스 특성에 미치는 여러 인자의 영향 (Effect of Several Factors on the Characteristics of Six-Vegetable and Fruit Juice)

  • Preparative conditions and characteristics of six-vegetable and fruit juice were studied for the effects of mixing ratio, heat treatment and addition of sugar, salt and organic acid. The vegetables and fruit used were carrot(Ct), cabbage(Cg), pear(Pr), cucumber(Cr), celery(Cy) and dongchimi(Di). From the sensory results of mixing ratio of three of binary mixtures of Cg-Pr(1:3):Ct-Di(1:4):Cr-Cy(3:1), two ratios of 5.0:2.5:2.5(V-6A) and 6.0:2.0:2.0(V-6B) were suggested optimal for six-vegetable and fruit juice. Addition of 2% sucrose and 0.3% NaCl improved the preference significantly. The pH 4.0 for V-6A and pH 3.5 for V-6B were more prefered when pH was adjusted by citric acid. Heating the juice at $100^{\circ}C$ for 100 minutes slightly decreased pH and increased the acidity. Total solids and viscosity were also decreased by heating. All of those changes were more significant in V-6B than V-6A, probably due to lower pH. Heating the juice resulted in a slight decrease in L value and an increase in a and b values. Heating at $100^{\circ}C$ caused an increase in moldy flavor and a decrease in fresh vegetable flavor while heating at $80^{\circ}C$ for 20 minutes changed them little.

  • Ce travail est de rechercher la vie litteraire d'Eug?ne Ionesco ? l'?poque de la Roumanie(1921~1937). Ionesco fait partie d'une cat?gorie d'?crivains(Mircea Eliade, Emil Cioran, Tristan Tzara, Pana?t Istrati, etc) qui sont n?s en Roumanie et ont commenc? leur carri?re dans leur pays d'origine pour la continuer et l'achever en France. Eugen Ionescu devient Eug?ne Ionesco. Ce dernier repr?sente d?j? dans les ann?es 30 une personnalit? hors du commun. C'est un homme qui a deux patries, deux racines : une roumaine, une autre fran?aise. Sa vie est a ?t? marqu?e par ses publications des l'adolescence. Ils font l'objet de ce livre-portrait d'Eugen Ionescu, po?te et critique, ?crivain de langue roumaine. L'?tude de la jeunesse roumaine d'Ionesco nous m?ne sur un terrain p?rilleux, celui de la biographie, plus pr?cis?ment des ann?es d'adolescence, de jeunesse et d'apprentissage d'un ?crivain qui a masqu? cette p?riode de sa vie. Nous avons pr?fer? tracer une biographie intellectuelle plutot qu'?num?rer des d?tails anecdotiques. La projection d'Ionesco dans son oeuvre est le r?cit de ses propres aventures intellectuelles. Unraveling dynamic metabolomes underlying different maturation stages of berries harvested from Panax ginseng

  • Background: Ginseng berries (GBs) show temporal metabolic variations among different maturation stages, determining their organoleptic and functional properties. Methods: We analyzed metabolic variations concomitant to five different maturation stages of GBs including immature green (IG), mature green (MG), partially red (PR), fully red (FR), and overmature red (OR) using mass spectrometry (MS)-based metabolomic profiling and multivariate analyses. Results: The partial least squares discriminant analysis score plot based on gas chromatography-MS datasets highlighted metabolic disparity between preharvest (IG and MG) and harvest/postharvest (PR, FR, and OR) GB extracts along PLS1 (34.9%) with MG distinctly segregated across PLS2 (18.2%). Forty-three significantly discriminant primary metabolites were identified encompassing five developmental stages (variable importance in projection > 1.0, p < 0.05). Among them, most amino acids, organic acids, 5-C sugars, ethanolamines, purines, and palmitic acid were detected in preharvest GB extracts, whereas 6-C sugars, phenolic acid, and oleamide levels were distinctly higher during later maturation stages. Similarly, the partial least squares discriminant analysis based on liquid chromatography-MS datasets displayed preharvest and harvest/postharvest stages clustered across PLS1 (11.1 %); however, MG and PR were separated from IG, FR, and OR along PLS2 (5.6 %). Overall, 24 secondary metabolites were observed significantly discriminant (variable importance in projection > 1.0, p < 0.05), with most displaying higher relative abundance during preharvest stages excluding ginsenosides Rg1 and Re. Furthermore, we observed strong positive correlations between total flavonoid and phenolic metabolite contents in GB extracts and antioxidant activity. Conclusion: Comprehending the dynamic metabolic variations associated with GB maturation stages rationalize their optimal harvest time per se the related agroeconomic traits.

  • 활성화된 $Mn(IV)O_2$를 이용하여 2,6-bis(hydroxymethyl)-4-methylphenol로부터 2,6-diformyl-p-cresol과 2-hydroxy-3-hydroxymethyl-5-methylbenzaldehyde를 제조하였다. 2-hydroxy-3-hydroxymethyl-5-methylbenzaldehyde와 ethylenediamine 및 1,3-diaminopropane의 축합반응에 의해 6-배위 칸막이 리간드, $H_4L[A]와\; H_4L[B]$를 각각 얻었다. methanol에서 2,6-diformyl-p-cresol과 1,2-diaminobenzene으로부터 부분적으로 환원된 거대고리, $H_4[20]DOTA$를 얻을 수 있었다. 이 $H_4[20]DOTA$와 lanthanide(IlI) nitrate 간의 반응 또는 methanol에서 주형과정(template procedure)에 의해 일핵 착물, $[Ln(IIl)(H_2[20]DOTA)(ClO_4)(H_2O)]\;{\cdot}\;3H_2O과\; [Ln([20]DOTA)(NO_3)(H_2O)](NO_3)_2\;{\cdot}\;xH_2O$를 각각 합성하였다. $[Ln([20]DOTA)(NO_3)(H_2O)](NO_3)_2\;{\cdot}\;xH_2O$를 2일 정도 methanol에 정치함으로써 얻은 $[Ln([20]DOTA)(NO_3)(CH_3OH)]^{2+}$에서 배위된 $CH_3OH$이 주게원자가 O인 보조리간드, $L_a$(=salicylic acid, p-chlorobenzoic acid, benzoic acid, acetic acid, 4-bromophenol)에 의해 치환될 때 평형상수 (K)를 25$^{\circ}C$, ${\mu}$=0.1M $NaClO_4$에서 분광학적 방법으로 결정하였다. 이 때 평형상수(K) 값들은 보조리간드 pKa 크기의 반대 경향인 salicylic acid>p-chlorobenzoic acid>benzoic acid>acetic acid>4-bromophenol 순서로 나타났다.

Preparation and Structure of Re$({\equiv}NC_6H_5)(PPh_3)(PR_3)Cl_3,\;PR_3=PMe_3,\;P(OMe)_3$

  • Reactions of mer, trans-$Re({\equiv}NC_6H_5)(PPh_3)_2Cl_3$, I, with $PMe_3$ and $P(OMe)_34 at room temperature, led to mer, trans-$Re({\equiv}NC_6H_5)(PPh_3)(PMe_3)Cl_3$, II, and fac-$Re({\equiv}NC_6H_5)(PPh_3)(P(OMe)_3)Cl_34, III, respectively. The crystal structures of II and III were determined through X-ray diffraction. Ⅱ crystallizes in the orthorhombic system, space group $Pna2_1$ with cell parameters a=19.379(4) ${\AA}$, b=11.867(2) ${\AA}$, c = 12.676(3) ${\AA}$, and Z = 4. Least-squares refinement of the structure led to a $R(wR_2)$ factor of 0.0251 (0.0621) for 2203 unique reflections of $I>2{\sigma}(I)$ and for 306 variables. III crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group $P2_1/n$ with cell parameters a=11.399(3) ${\AA}$, b=14.718(4) ${\AA}$, c=17.558(5) ${\AA}$, ${\beta}=97.79(2){\circ}$, and Z=4. Least-squares refinement of the structure led to a $R(wR_2)$ factor of 0.0571 (0.1384) for 3739 unique reflections of $I>2{\sigma}(I)$ and for 344 variables. Structural studies showed that the relative orientations of the two phosphines in both complexes are different, probably due to the differences in the coordinating abilities between $PMe_3$ and $P(OMe)_3$ to the 5-coordinate fluxional intermediate.

대장균을 이용한 Phenylalanine 생산에 있어서 온도조절형 발현 Vector의 안정성 (Phenotypic Stability of a Temperature-Controllable Expression Vector on Phenylalanine Production by Escherichia coli)

  • Phenylalanine 고생산용 plasmid pSY130-14는 $\lambda$-phage 유래 온도감수성을 가지고 있으므로 $cI_{857}$ repressor와 PL과 PR을 온도를 올려 phenylalanine의 생산을 유도한다. pSY130-14를 갖는 E.coli AT2471은 kanamycin 무첨가, $38.5^{\circ}C$, 48시간에서 약 30%로 plasmid가 없어지며 첨가에서 안정성이 떨어졌다가 배양시간과 더불어 올라갔는데, 이것은 생육에 피요한 kanamycin gene과 ori만이 남는 것으로 생각된다.

Zn-Pr-Co-Cr-Er 산화물계 바리스터의 써지 스트레스에 대한 전기적 안정성에 미치는 소결온도의 영향 (Effect of Sintering Temperature on Electrical Stability against Surge Stress of Zn-Pr-Co-Cr-Er Oxides-based Varistors)

  • This paper reports the variations of varistor voltage, nonlinear exponent, leakage current, and dissipation factor against surge stress of ZnO-P $r_{6}$ $O_{11}$-CoO-C $r_2$ $O_3$-E $r_2$ $O_3$(ZPCCE)-based varistors manufactured with the variations of sintering temperature. It was found that the variations of electrical parameters against surge stressing current of 100 A/$\textrm{cm}^2$(8x20 ${\mu}\textrm{s}$) is not so large under the surge stress of 700 times. Among varistors, specially the varistor sintered at 134$0^{\circ}C$ exhibited the smallest variations, with %$\Delta$ $V_{lmA}$=+0.23%, %$\Delta$$\alpha$=+0.23%, %$\Delta$ $I_{L}$=0%, %$\Delta$tan$\delta$=-6.94%. The clamping voltage ratio( $V_{c}$/ $V_{lmA}$) of all varistors was less than 2.2.2.2.2.2.2.
