An Effect of the PB Products attribute of the Large-sized Discount Stores on the Consumer Attitude and the Purchase Behavior (대형할인점 PB제품 속성이 소비자의 태도와 구매행동에 미치는 영향)

  • Recently the sales of PB products attribute shows a steady growth day by day. The consumers buy them due to low prices, however, lately they buy the high premium PB products. And thus the large distributors made a rapid growth of sales. The aim of this study is to analyze what the PB products attributes may affect the consumers' purchase behavior. First, the attribute factors of the PB products: store image, knowledge and information, quality perception, economic value etc. have effects on the consumer attitude after usage experience with PB products. Second, the consumer attitude after usage experience with PB products can have an effect on the purchase behavior. As a result of this study, the various attributes of PB products such as store image, knowledge and information, quality perception, economic value appeared to be positive effect. At the same time the attitude after buying the PB products showed positive effects on the purchase behavior.

  • Effects of $La_2O_3$, $MnO_2$ on the dielectric and piezoelectric properties of $0.02Pb(Y_{2/3}W_{1/3}O_3-0.98Pb(Zr_{0.52}Ti_{0.48})O_3$ system were investigated. The addition of La2O3 to the system enhanced electromechanical coupling factor (kp), piezoelectric constant (d33), but hardly changed mechanical quality factor (Qm). On the other hand, the addition of $MnO_2$ increased Qm significantly, but did not degrade kp and d33 so much. The piezoelectric properties of $0.02Pb(Y_{2/3}W_{1/3}O_3-0.98Pb(Zr_{0.52}Ti_{0.48})O_3$ containing 0.1wt% $La_2O_3$, 0.4wt% $MnO_2$ were very good and kp, d33, Qm were 55%, 350$\times$10-12C/N, 780, respectively. The size of the grains was proportional to the change of c/a (tetragonality) ratio caused by the addition of $La_2O_3$ and $MnO_2$, and dielectric, piezoelectric properties were sensitive to the amountof pyrochrole phase.

An effect of component layers on the phases and dielectric properties in $PbTiO_3$ thin films prepared from multilayer structure (다층구조박막으로부터 $PbTiO_3$ 박막 제조시 요소층이 상형성 및 유전특성에 미치는 영향)

  • To improve the properties of $PbTiO_3$ thin films successfully grown by thermal diffusion of 3 component layers of $Ti0_2/Pb/TiO_2(900{\AA}/900{\AA}/900{\AA})$ in preceding research, 3, 5, 7, 9, and 11 multilayer structures $(TiO_2/Pb/.../Tio_2)$ with thinner component layer of $200~300 {\AA}$ thick were deposited on Si substrate by RF sputtering, which were followed by RTA to form $PbTiO_3$ thin films. As a result, $PbTiO_3$ single phase was formed above $500^{\circ}C$. When the thickness of component layer reduced and the number of component layers increased, suppression of Pb-silicate and voids formation resulted in relatively sharp interfaces and the film composition became more homogeneous. Relative dielectric constants in MIM structure were independent of the annealing condition, but they increased with increasing thickness of the $PbTiO_3$ thin films. The maximum breakdown field in MIS structure reached 150kV/cm.

  • In this study, $0.085Ba(La_{1/2}Nb_{1/2})O_3-0.915Pb(Zr_yTi_{1-y})O_3$(y=0.45, 0.50, 0.55, 0.60, 0.65[mol]) transparent electrooptic ceramics were fabricated by two-stage sintering method. Increasing the $PbZrO_3$ contents, dielectric constant was increased and Curie temperature was decreased. In the composition of 0.55[mol] $PbZrO_3$, electromechanical coupling factor was 0.43. From the results of ferroelectric hysteresis loop and transmitted light intensity with electric field, the compositions of 0.65, 0.60, 0.55[mol] $PbZrO_3$ was applicable to electroopticmemory device and the compositions of 0.50, 0.45[mol] $PbZrO_3$ was applicable to linear electrooptic device.

  • 95Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-5PbTiO3 (hereinafter designated as 95PMN-5PT) system was prepared by the columbite-precursor method with 2 mol% excess PbO to compensate the PbO loss during thermal process. The amount of CuO was 1~10 mol%, and the effects of CuO addition on the dielectric properties of this system have been investigated. From the microstructures, XRD analysis and dielectric measurements, the solubility limit of CuO in 95PMN-5PT was found to be around 3 mol%. Lattice parameter and Curie temperature were found to be decreased as the amount of CuO increased up to the solubility limit. This result confirmed that the Cu2+-ions substituted the Pb2+-ions. It was revealed that the addition of CuO on 95PMN-5PT promoted the sinterability and properties. The room temperature dielectric constant, the loss factor and the specific resistivity of the specimens processed with optimum conditions were 23000, 1%, and 8$\times$1011Ω.cm, respectively.

  • In the SP series of glasses, the formation of droplet is well done with increasing PbO. But in the case SP-1, droplet could not be observed in low concentration PbO. These results are considered that PbO does the role of a network modifier, so the crosslinking break down by $SiO_2$. But, in the glasses contained PbO above 50 mol%, glasses are formeddue to $Pb^{4+}$ ion does the role of a network former. As a result of electrical conductivity analysis for SP series of glasses, the electrical conduction is due to bipolaron at high temperature, and it is due to single polaron hopping at low temperature. In the SP series of glasses, electrical conduction mechanism coincide with the correlated-barrier hopping(CBH) model.

  • This report investigates a new synthetic route and the size-dependent optical and electrical properties of PbS nanocrystal quantum dots (NQDs) in diameters ranging between 1.5 and 6 nm. Particularly we synthesize ultra-small sized PbS NQDs having extreme quantum confinement with 1.5~2.9 nm in diameter (2.58~1.5 eV in first exciton energy) for the first time by adjusting growth temperature and growth time. In this region, the Stokes shift increases as decreasing size, which is testimony to the highly quantum confinement effect of ultra-small sized PbS NQDs. To find out the electrical properties, we fabricate self-assembled films of PbS NQDs using layer by layer (LBL) spin-coating method and replacing the original ligands with oleic acid to short ligands with 1, 2-ethandithiol (EDT) in the course. The use of capping ligands (EDT) allows us to achieve effective electrical transport in the arrays of solution processed PbS NQDs. These high-quality films apply to Schottky solar cell made in an glass/ITO/PbS/LiF/Al structure and thin-film transistor varying the PbS NQDs diameter 1.5~6 nm. We achieve the highest open-circuit voltage (<0.6 V) in Schottky solar cell ever using PbS NQDs with first exciton energy 2.58 eV.

  • In order to understand the electrostrictive behavior of Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-PbTiO3 (PMN-PT) solid solutions the dielectric constants the electric-field-induced strains and the pyroelectric coefficients of (1-x)PMN-xPT (x=0.1-0.4) were investigated in the temperature range -50~20$0^{\circ}C$. For x=0.1~0.35 where the phase transi-tion is diffusive the strain has a maxima at the temperature of maximum pyroelectric coefficient (depolrizing temperature) rather than the temperature of maximum dielectric constant. For x=0.4 where the phase transition is relatively sharp the strain decreases monotonically as the temperature increases. Relationships among the above experimental results are discussed.

Growth of lead-based functional crystals by the vertical bridgman method

  • Some lead-based crystals show excellent ferroelectric, piezoelectric or scintillation properties and have attracted much attention in recent years. However, the erosion of the high temperature solution on platinum crucible and the evaporation of PbO component are the main problems often encountered during the crystal growth. In this paper, we reported recent progress on the Bridgman growth of lead-based functional crystals, such as novel relaxor ferroelectric crystals (PZNT and PMNT), scintillation crystals $(PbWO_4,\;PbF_2\;and\;PbClF)$ and piezoelectric crystals $(Pb_5Ge_3O_{11}\;and\;Pb_2KNb_5O_{15}),$ in Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The vertical Bridgman method has been modified to grow PZNT crystals from high temperature solution and as-grown crystals have been characterized. Large size lead-based scintillators, $PbWO_4\;and\;PbF_2$ crystals, have been mass-produced by the vertical Bridgman method in the multi-crucible fumace. These crystals have been supplied to CERN and other laboratories for high-energy physics experiments. The Bridgman growth of piezoelectric crystals $Pb_5Ge_3O_{11}\;and\;Pb_2KNb_5O_{15}$ are discussed also.
