Corrosion Behaviors of Dental Implant Alloy after Micro-sized Surface Modification in Electrolytes Containing Mn Ion

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the corrosion behaviors of dental implant alloy after microsized surface modification in electrolytes containing Mn ion. Materials and Methods: $Mn-TiO_2$ coatings were prepared on the Ti-6Al-4V alloy for dental implants using a plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO) method carried out in electrolytes containing different concentrations of Mn, namely, 0%, 5%, and 20%. Potentiodynamic method was employed to examine the corrosion behaviors, and the alternatingcurrent (AC) impedance behaviors were examined in 0.9% NaCl solution at $36.5^{\circ}C{\pm}1.0^{\circ}C$ using a potentiostat and an electrochemical impedance spectroscope. The potentiodynamic test was performed with a scanning rate of $1.667mV\;s^{-1}$ from -1,500 to 2,000 mV. A frequency range of $10^{-1}$ to $10^5Hz$ was used for the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) measurements. The amplitude of the AC signal was 10 mV, and 5 points per decade were used. The morphology and structure of the samples were examined using field-emission scanning electron microscopy and thin-film X-ray diffraction. The elemental analysis was performed using energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. Result: The PEO-treated surface exhibited an irregular pore shape, and the pore size and number of the pores increased with an increase in the Mn concentration. For the PEO-treated surface, a higher corrosion current density ($I_{corr}$) and a lower corrosion potential ($E_{corr}$) was obtained as compared to that of the bulk surface. However, the current density in the passive regions ($I_{pass}$) was found to be more stable for the PEO-treated surface than that of the bulk surface. As the Mn concentration increased, the capacitance values of the outer porous layer and the barrier layer decreased, and the polarization resistance of the barrier layers increased. In the case of the Mn/Ca-P coatings, the corroded surface was found to be covered with corrosion products. Conclusion: It is confirmed that corrosion resistance and polarization resistance of PEO-treated alloy increased as Mn content increased, and PEO-treated surface showed lower current density in the passive region.

  • In this paper, to develop PTCR(Positive Temperature Coefficient of Resistance) thermistor with high withstanding voltage, Ca were added to. the compositions of $(Ba_{0.9165-X}-Sr_{0.08}-Ca_X-Y_{0.0035})TiO_3+MnO_2$ 0.02wt%+$SiO_2$ 0.5wt%. the effects of Ca additions were researched according the increasing of Ca from 0[mol%] to 20[mol%], and the electrical properties were investigated. As increasing Ca additions from 0[mol%] to 20[mol%], the grain size of the specimens was reduced from 11.1[${\mu}m$] to 6.15[${\mu}m$], and also the sintered density was reduced from 5.43[$g/cm^3$] to 5.05[$g/cm^3$] and their the breakdown voltages were increased from 163[V/mm] to 232[V/mm]. It is shown that the breakdown voltage was increased with amount of Ca additions.

광주지역 하상퇴적물에 대한 지질집단별 지구화학적 연구 (Geochemical Study on Geological Groups of Stream Sediments in the Gwangju Area)

  • 이 연구에서는 광주지역 하상퇴적물에 대한 지질집단별 지구화학적 특성에 대해 규명 하고자 한다. 이를 위해 물이 흐르고 있는 1차 수계를 대상으로 하상퇴적물시료 104개를 채취하였고, 실험실에서 자연건조 시켰다. 화학분석을 위한 시료는 알루미나 몰타르를 이용하여 200메쉬 이하로 분쇄하였고, XRF ICP-AES, NAA분석을 실시하였다. 연구지역 하상퇴적물에 대해, 지질집단별 지구화학적 특성 비교와 기존 암석에 대한 연구에서 얻어진 암석화학적인 특성과의 비교를 위해, 선캠브리아기 화강편마암 지역, 쥬라기 화강암 지역, 백악기 화순안산암 지역으로 분리하였다 광주지역 하상퇴적물의 주성분원소 함량은 $SiO_2\;51.89\~70.63\;wt.\%,\;Al_2O-3\;12.91\~21.95\;wt.\%,\;Fe_2O_3\;3.22\~9.89\;wt.\%,\;K_2O\;1.85\~4.49\;wt.\%,\;MgO\;0.68\~2.90\;wt.\%,\;Na_2O\;0.48\~2.34\;wt.\%,\;CaO\;0.42\~6.72\;wt.\%,\;TiO_2\;0.53\~l.32\;wt.\%,\;P_2O_5\;0.06~0.51\;wt.\%\;and\;MnO\;0.05\~0.69\;wt.\%.$이다. 하상퇴적물과 암석에 대한 AMF 삼각도에서, 암석은 칼크-알칼리계열에 도시되는데 비하여, 하상퇴적물은 솔레아이트 계열과 칼크-알칼리계열의 경계부위에 도시된다. 이는 $Fe_2O_3$ 함량이 암석에서보다 하상퇴적물에 더 많이 함유되어 있는 것과 관련이 있는 것으로 보인다. $SiO_2$에 대한 $K_2O+Na_2O$의 비교그림에서, 하상퇴적물은 암석에서와 같이 subalkaline 계열에 점시된다. 하상퇴적물의 미량성분원소 및 희토류 원소 함량은 $Ba 590\~2170ppm$, Be$1\~2.4$ppm, Cu $13\~179ppm$, Nb $20\~34ppm$, Ni$10\~50ppm$, Pb $17\~30$ppm, Sr $70\~1025$ ppm, V$42\~135$ ppm, Zr$45\~171$ ppm, Li$19\~77$ppm, Co$4.3\~19.3$ppm, Cr$28\~131$ppm, Cs$3.1\~17.6$ ppm, Hf $5\~27.6$ ppm, Rb $388\~202$ ppm, Sb$0.2\~l.2$ ppm, Sc$6.4\~17$ ppm, Zn $47\~389$ ppm, Pa $8.8\~68.8$ ppm, Ce$62\~272$ppm, Eu$1\~2.7$ppm and Yb$0.9\~6$ppm의 범위를 보인다.

경남 밀양지역 납석광상과 안산암질 모암의 지구화학적 연구 (A Geochemical Study on Pyrophyllite Deposits and Andesitic Wall-Rocks in the Milyang Area, Kyeongnam Province)

  • Several pyrophyllite deposits occur around the Milyang area where Cretaceous andesitic rocks and spatially related granitic rocks are widely distributed. Pyrophyllite ores consist mainly of pyrophyllite, and quartz with small amount of sericite, pyrite, dumortierite, and diaspore. The andesitic rocks and spatially related granitic rocks in this area suggest that they could be formed from the same series of a calc-alkaline magma series. The contents of $SiO_2$, $Al_2O_3$, LOI(loss on ignition) are enriched, and $K_2O$, $Na_2O$, CaO, MgO, $Fe_2O_3$ are depleted in altered andesitic rocks and ores. Enrichment of As, Cr, Sr, V, Sb and depletion of Ba, Cs, Ni, Rb, U, Y, Co, Sc, Zn are characteristic during mineralization. The pyrophyllite ores can be discriminated from the altered-and unaltered wall-rocks by an increasing of $(La/Lu)_{cn}$ from 4.18~22.13 to 8.98~55.05. In R-mode cluster analysis, Yb-Lu-Y, La-Ce-Hf-Th-U-Zr, $TiO_2-V-Al_2O_3$, Sm-Eu, $CaO-Na_2O-MnO$, Cu-Zn-Ag, $K_2O-Rb$ are closely correlated. In the discriminant analysis of multi-element data, $P_2O_5$, As, Cr and $Fe_2O_3$, Sr are helpful to identify the ores from the unaltered-and altered wall-rocks. In the factor analysis, the factors of alteration of andesitic rocks and ore mineralization were extracted. In the change of ions per unit volume, $SiO_2$, $Al^{3+}$ and LOI are enriched and $Na^+$, $K^+$, $Ca^{2+}$, $Mg^{2+}$, $Mn^{2+}$ and $Fe^{3+}$ are depleted during the alteration processes. The Milyang and the Sungjin pyrophyllite deposits could be mineralized by hydrothermal alteration in a geochemical condition of low activity ratio of alkaline ions to hydrogen ion with reference to spatially related granitic rocks.

고휘도 백색방출 전계발광소자의 제작 및 특성 (Fabrication and Characteristics of High Brightness White Emission Electroluminescent Device)

  • ZnS 형광체와 BST 강유전체 박막을 절연층으로 사용한 백색방출 전계발광소자를 제작하였다. BST 박막의 제조조건으로 target의 조성비가 $Ba_{0.5}Sr_{0.5}TiO_3$이며, 기판온도가 $400^{\circ}C$, 분위기압이 30 mTorr, A:$O_2$의 비가 9:1일때 유전율이 1 kHz의 주파수에서 209를 나타내었다. 형광층으로 ZnS:Mn, ZnS:Tb 및 ZnS:Ag를 사용하였으며, 활성제 각각의 첨가량은 0.8, 0.8 및 1 wt%로 하였다. 형광층 전체의 두께가 500 nm로 하고 하부 절연층을 200 nm, 상부절연층을 400 nm로 증착하였을 때, 박막 전계발광소자의 발광문턱전압은 약 95 V 였고, 최고휘도는 150 V에서 약 $3000\;cd/m^2$이었다. 발광스펙트럼를 관찰한 결과 청색영역(450 nm), 녹색영역(550 nm) 그리고 적색영역(600 nm)의 파장에서 각각의 피이크가 나타나는 것을 관찰하였다.

  • Characteristics of piezoelectric thick films prepared by screen printing method were investigated. The piezoelectric thick films were printed using Pb(Mg,Nb)O$_3$-Pb(Zr,Ti)O$_3$system. The lower electrodes were coated with various thickness of Ag-Pd by screen printing to investigate the effect as a diffusion barrier and deposited with Pt by sputtering on Ag-Pd. The ceramic paste was prepared by mixing powder and binder with various ratios using three roll miller. The fabricated thick films were burned out at 650$^{\circ}C$ and sintered at 950$^{\circ}C$ in the O$_2$condition for each 20, 60min after printing with 350mesh screen. The thickness of piezoelectric thick film was 15∼20 $\mu\textrm{m}$ and the Ag-Pd electrode acted as a diffusion barrier above 3 $\mu\textrm{m}$ thickness. When the lower electrode Ag-Pd was 6 $\mu\textrm{m}$ and the piezoelectric thick films were sintered by 2nd step (650$^{\circ}C$/20min and 950$^{\circ}C$/1h) using paste mixed Pb(Mg,Nb)O$_3$-Pb(Zr,Ti)O$_3$$.$ MnO$_2$+ Bi$_2$O$_3$. V$_2$O$\_$5/ and binder in the ratio of 70:30, the remnant polarization of thick film was 9.1 ${\mu}$C /cm$^2$.

Effects of Deposition Pressure on the Phase Formation and Electrical Properties of BiFeO3 Films Deposited by Sputtering

  • $BiFeO_3$ (BFO) thin films were prepared on $Pt/TiO_2/Si$ substrate by r.f. magnetron sputtering. The effects of deposition pressure on electrical properties were investigated using measurement of dielectric properties, leakage current and polarization. When BFO targets were prepared, Fe atoms were substituted with Mn 0.05% to increase electrical resistivity of films. (Fe+Mn)/Bi ratio of BFO thin films increases with increasing partial pressure of $O_2$ gas. The deposited films showed the only BFO phase at 10 mTorr, the coexistence of BFO and $Bi_2O_3$ phase at 30-50 mTorr, and the only $Bi_2O_3$ phase at 70 mTorr. The crystallinity of BFO films was reduced due to the higher Bi contents and the decrease of surface mobility of atoms at high temperature. The porosity and surface roughness of films increased with the increase of the deposition pressure. The films deposited at high pressure showed low dielectric constant and high leakage current. The dielectric constant of films deposited at various deposition pressures was 84${\sim}$153 at 1 kHz. The leakage current density of the films deposited at 10${\sim}$70 mTorr was about $7{\times}10.6{\sim}1.5{\times}10.2A/cm^2$ at 100 kV/cm. The leakage current was found to be closely related to the morphology and composition of the BFO films. BFO films showed poor P-E hysteresis loops due to high leakage current.

복합고체 전해질을 적용한 리튬이차전지의 전기화학적 특성 (Electrochemical Performance of Rechargeable Lithium Battery Using Hybrid Solid Electrolyte)

  • 최근 리튬이차전지의 안전성을 향상시킨 전고체 전지가 많은 관심의 대상이 되고 있으나 전도성 세라믹 또는 고체 고분자 전해질을 적용한 고체전지는 높은 계면 저항, 부반응 등과 같은 문제점을 지니고 있어 전기화학적 특성이 낮다. 기존 전고체 전지의 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 복합고체 전해질이 제안되었으며 본 연구에서는 나시콘 구조의 나노 입자 Li1.5Al0.5Ti1.5P3O12 (LATP) 전도성 세라믹, PVdF-HFP, 카보네이티 기반 액체전해질을 복합화 하여 유사고체 전해질을 제작하였다. 이 복합고체 전해질은 5.6 V의 높은 전압 안전성을 가지며 리튬이온의 탈리-착리 테스트에서 리튬 금속전극의 덴드라이트 성장 억제 효과가 있음을 보여준다. 또한 복합고체 전해질을 적용한 LiNi0.83Co0.11Mn0.06O2 (NCM811)기반 전지에서 4.8 V의 높은 충전 종지 전압에도 241.5 mAh/g의 높은 방전 용량을 나타내며 안정적인 전기화학 반응이 일어난다. NCM811 기반 전지의 90도 충전-방전 중에도 전지의 단락이나 폭발 없이 139.4 mAh/g 방전 용량을 보인다. 따라서 LATP기반 복합고체 전해질은 리튬이차전지의 안전성과 전기화학적 특성을 향상 시킬 수 있는 효과적인 방법임을 알 수 있다.

태양광 시스템에 적용한 배터리 커패시터의 전기적 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Electrical Characteristics of Battery Capacitor Applied to Photovoltaic Power System)

  • This paper describes the preparation and characteristics of a battery capacitor and module for solar power system. A cylindrical 30,000F battery capacitor ($60{\times}138mm$) was assembled by using the $LTO(Li_4Ti_5O_{12})$ electrode as an anode and $NMC(LiNiMnCoO_2)-LCO(LiCoO_2)$ as a cathode. The battery capacitor has reduced energy density and power density under high CC(constant current) and CP(constant power) conditions. Battery capacitor module (16V, 11Ah) was fabricated using an asymmetric hybrid capacitor with a capacitance of 30,000F. In order to determine the characteristics of the battery capacitor Module for solar power system, battery capacitor cells were connected in series with active balancing circuit. As a result of measuring the 100w LED lamp, it was discharged at the voltage of 15V~10V, and the compensation time at discharge was measured to be about 4979s. Experimental results show that it can be applied to applications related to solar power system by applying battery capacitor module.

기반암에 따른 청풍지역 하상퇴적물의 지구화학적 특성 (Geochemical Characteristics of Stream Sediments Based on Bed Rocks in the Cheongpung Area)

  • 이 연구에서는 청풍지역 하상퇴적물에 대한 지구화학적 특성 규명을 통해, 주성분원소 및 미량원소에 대한 청풍지역의 자연배경치를 제시하고, 지구화학적 재해에 대해 예견하고자 한다. 이를 위해 물이 흐르고 있는 1차 수계를 대상으로 하상퇴적물시료를 채취하였고, 실험실에서 자연건조 시켰으며, 화학적 분석을 위해 알루미나 몰타르를 이용하여 200메쉬 이하로 분쇄하였다. 주성분원소 및 미량성분원소는 XRD, XRF, ICP-AES, NAA를 이용하여 분석하였다. 청풍지역 하상퇴적물의 기반암에 따른 지질집단별 지구화학적 특성 비교를 위해, 화강암질편마암지역, 메타텍틱편마암지역, 다도응회암지역, 유치역암 지역, 능주용암지역으로 분류하였다. 청풍지역 하상퇴적물 전체에 대한 주성분원소 함량은 $SiO_2\;47.31{\sim}72.81\;wt.%,\;Al_2O_3 \;11.26{\sim}21.88\;wt.%,\;Fe_2O_3\;2.83{\sim}8.39\;wt.%,\;CaO\;0.34{\sim}7.54\;wt.%,\;MgO\; 0.55{\sim}3.59\;wt.%,\;K_2O\;1.71{\sim}4.31\;wt.%,\;Na_2O\;0.56{\sim}2.28\;wt.%,\;TiO_2\;0.46{\sim}1.24\;wt.%,\;MnO\;0.04{\sim}0.27\;wt.%,\;P_2O_5\;0.02{\sim}0.45\;wt.%$이다. 청풍지역 하상퇴적물 전체에 대한 미량성분원소 및 희토류원소 함량은 $Ba\;700ppm{\sim}8990ppm,\;Be\;1.0{\sim}3.50ppm,\;Cu\;6.20{\sim}60ppm,\;Nb\;12{\sim}28ppm,\;Ni\;4.4{\sim}61ppm,\;Pb\;13{\sim}34ppm,\;Sr\;65{\sim}787ppm,\;V\;4{\sim}98ppm,\;Zr\;32{\sim}164ppm,\;Li\;21{\sim}827ppm,\;Co\;3.68{\sim}65ppm,\;Cr\;16.7{\sim}409ppm,\;Cs\;72{\sim}37.1ppm,\;Hf\;4.99{\sim}49.2ppm,\;Rb\;71.9{\sim}649ppm,\;Sb\;0.16{\sim}5.03ppm,\;Sc\;4.97{\sim}5ppm,\;Zn\;26.3{\sim}375ppm,\;Ce\;60.6{\sim}373ppm,\;Eu\;0.82{\sim}6ppm,\;Yb\;0.71{\sim}10ppm$의 범위를 보였다.
