탄성표면파 듀플렉서용 마이크로 스트립라인 집중소자 해석 및 실험 (Analysis and Experiment of Micro-strip Line Lumped Elements for SAW Duplexers)

  • In this study, we analyzed and experimented micro-strip line inductors and capacitors for a SAW duplexer, an important devise for mobile communication. For SAW duplexers, micro-strip line lumped elements must have small impedance values, below several tens of nH or several tens of pF, and a small area pattern. In this study, we performed theoretical analysis of flat line type, meander line type, and spiral line type inductors and interdigital capacitors on a LiTaO$_3$ Piezo-crystal. We proposed a measurement method to evaluate small values of lumped elements accurately with network analyzer. In experiments, we confirmed validity of the theoretical analysis method through fabrication and characterization of micro-strip line lumped elements. The analysis method in this paper can be applied to SAW duplexers well as other microwave devices.

Figures of Merit of (K,Na,Li)(Nb,Ta)O3 Ceramics with Various Li Contents for a Piezoelectric Energy Harvester

  • The figures of merit in the on-resonance and off-resonance conditions ($FOM_{on}$ and $FOM_{off}$) for the piezoelectric energy harvester (PEH) were measured and compared in $[(K_{0.485}Na_{0.515})_{1-X}Li_X](Nb_{0.99}Ta_{0.01})O_3$ (x = 0.04 ~ 0.09) (KNLNT) ceramics with various Li contents. The crystal structure of CuO-doped KNLNT ceramics changes from orthorhombic to tetragonal around the Li fraction of 0.065. The stable temperature range for the tetragonal phase widens to both higher and lower temperatures as Li is substituted. The piezoelectric charge constant ($d_{33}$), electromechanical coupling factor ($k_p$) and mechanical quality factor ($Q_m$) have maximum values at the Li fraction between 0.055 and 0.065 where the phase boundary lies between the orthorhombic and tetragonal phases. Both $FOM_{on}$ and $FOM_{off}$ have peak values around the phase boundary but the peak compositions are not exactly coincided. The optimal Li fraction in the KNLNT ceramic for a PEH application was found to be between 0.055 and 0.065.

  • 표면 탄성파 가스센서는 소자의 크기가 작고, 값이 싸며, 가스에 대한 감도가 매우 높고 소자의 신뢰도가 높은 장점을 갖고 있다. 본 연구에서는, $LiTaO_3$ 단결정 압전기판 위에 이중지연선을 갖는 표면 탄성파 $NO_2$ 가스센서를 설계 및 제작하였다. 제조된 IDT의 커패시턴스는 79.3MHz의 주파수에서 326.34pF였다. 임피던스 매칭이 된 IDT의 반사손실은 79.3MHz의 주파수에서 최대인 -16.74dB로 나타났다. SAW 발진기를 성하여 고주파증폭기의 이득을 적절히 조정함으로써 안정된 발진이 이루어짐을 확인하였다. SAW 발진기의 $NO_2$ 가스에 대한 발진주파수의 변이는 28Hz/ppm으로 나타났다.

ZnO 첨가량에 따른 비납계 (Na0.44K0.52)Nb0.84O3-Li0.04(Sb0.06Ta0.1)O3 세라믹스의 압전 특성 (Piezoelectric Properties of lead free (Na0.44K0.52)Nb0.84O3-Li0.04(Sb0.06Ta0.1)O3 Ceramics with ZnO Addition)

  • Electrical and structural properties were investigated on the effects of ZnO and the lead-free NKN-LST ceramics with the addition of ZnO were fabricated by a conventional mixed oxide method. A gradual change in the crystal and microstructure was observed with the increase of ZnO addition. For the NKN-LST-ZnO ceramics sintered at $1050^{\circ}C$, bulk density increased with the addition of ZnO and showed maximum value at addition 2.0mol% of ZnO. Curie temperature of the NKN-LST-ZnO ceramics slightly decreased with adding ZnO. The dielectric constant, piezoelectric constant ($d_{33}$) and electromechanical coupling factor ($k_p$) increased at the small amount of ZnO addition, which might be due to the increase in density. The high piezoelectric properties = 153 pC/N, electromechanical coupling factor = 0.484 and dielectric constant = 2883 were obtained for the NKN-LST+0.5ZnO ceramics sintered at $1050^{\circ}C$ for 2h.

Temperature Coefficient of Dielectric Constant in CaTiO3-A(B′, B″)O3 Microwave Dielectric Ceramics (A=Ca, La, Li, B′=Al, Fe, Mg, B″=Nb, Ta)

  • The dielectric polarizability-related factors contributing to the $\tau$$_{\varepsilon}$ have been analysed in terms of dielectric permittivity $\varepsilon$, Tolerance Factor (TF), and octahedron tilt angles in (1-x)CaTi $O_3$-x[A(B', B″) $O_3$] (A=Ca, La, Li, B'=Al, Fe, Mg, B″=Nb, Ta) and (S $r_{0.2}$C $a_{0.8}$)( $Ti_{1-x}$ Z $r_{x}$) $O_3$. All the compounds have the orthorhombic Pbnm structure except the end members A(B', B″) $O_3$ and the solid solutions of x$\geq$0.8. The additional dipole field effect is suggested as a dominant factor contributing to $\tau$$_{\varepsilon}$ in CaTi $O_3$-based ceramics having relatively large $\varepsilon$, which has not been generally considered in the previous reports dealing with the $\tau$$_{\varepsilon}$. This study has been focussed on delineating the dipole field effect on the $\tau$$_{\varepsilon}$ in comparison to the octahedron tilt effect in CaTi $O_3$-based ceramics.cs..cs.

  • 편광유지 광섬유를 이용한 주파수가 안정화된, 두 개의 서로 수직으로 편광된 종모우드를 갖는 He-Ne레이저 빛을 LoTa $O_{3}$ 위상변조기로 구성된 센서부(sensor head)로 전달해 줌으로써 원격에서 전기장을 측정할 수 있는 hybrid, heterodyne 간섭식 센서를 구성하였다. In/quadrature-phase위상변조풀이 방식을 이용하여 전기광학 효과에 의해 서로 수직으로 편광된 두 모우드 사이에 유도된 위상차이를 측정함으로써 항상 높은 검지율을 유지할 수 있는 전기장 센서를 구성하고, 이를 이용하여 광학 물질에 유도된 복굴절도 측정을 할 수 있었다.

Synthesis, Crystal Structure and Characterization of Cu(II) and Cd(II) Coordination Compounds Based on Ligand 2-(3-(Pyridin-2-yl)-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)acetic Acid

  • Two novel coordination compounds $[Cu_2(pypya)_3(H_2O)_2]{\cdot}Cl{\cdot}(H_2O)_5$ (1) and $\{[Cd(pypya)(ta)_{1/2}]{\cdot}H_2O\}_n$ (2) (Hpypya=2-(3-(pyridin-2-yl)-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)acetic acid, $H_2ta$=terephthalic acid) were synthesized and characterized by single X-ray diffraction. Structure determination reveals that complex 1 and complex 2 crystallize in the triclinic system, with the P-1 space group. The asymmetric unit of 1 contains two Cu(II) ions, and their coordination modes are different. These units of complex 1 are linked together via hydrogen bonds and ${\pi}-{\pi}$ interactions, and the 3D structure of complex 1 was formed. Complex 2, a mononuclear Cd(II) coordination compound, has a 2D structure which was constructed via coordination bonds. TGA and fluorescence spectra analysis of complex 1 and complex 2 have also been studied. In addition, the geometry parameters of complex 1 have been optimized with the B3LYP method of density functional theory (DFT) to explain its coordination behavior. The electronic properties of the complex 1 and ligand Hpypya have been investigated based on the nature bond orbital (NBO) analysis at the B3LYP level of theory. The result verifies that the synergistic effect have occurred in the compound.

  • ZnO was doped up to 0.3 wt% for improving the electrical properties of lead-free $[Li_{0.04}(Na_{0.44}Ko_{0.52})-(Nb_{0.86}\;Ta_{0.10}\;Sb_{0.04})]O_3$ piezoelectric ceramics. The ceramics were fabricated with the conventional sintering processes. Crystal structure of the samples was tetragonal phase regardless of ZnO amount. However, the piezoelectric properties were varied with the ZnO amount. The electro-mechanical coupling factor $(k_p)$ was with the ZnO amount up to 0.2 wt% but decreased with the further addition. the maximum value of $k_p$ was 0.475. Density, piezoelectric charge constant and relative dielectric constant was also showed maximum value at 0.2 wt%. The maximum values are $4.75g/cm^3$, 275 pC/N, 1403, respectively. In contrast, the mechanical quality factor $(Q_m)$ was not varied with increasing the ZnO addition up to 0.2 wt% but rapidly increased at 0.3 wt%.

  • Blue light of 0.15mW at 417.6nm is generated in a quasi-phase-matched LITaO$_{3}$ optical waveguide. A new heat-treatment technique using a metal-oxide mask is proposed to fabricate the periodic domain-inverted grating with less degraded optical properties. The mask promotes the proton indiffusion by inhibition of the proton outdiffusion during the heat treatment. It reduces the amount of the initial proton exchange for the domain inversion and prevents the formation of crystal defects on the surface accompanied by the proton outdiffusion. Consequently, it minimizes the degradation of nonlinear coefficient and scattering loss caused by the initial proton exchange.

하소온도변화에 따른 (Na,K)NbO3계 무연 압전세라믹스의 압전 및 유전특성 (Piezoelectric and Dielectric Characteristics of Lead-free (Na,K)NbO3 Piezoelectric Ceramic System according to Calcination Temperature)

  • In this paper, in order to develop lead-free piezoelectric ceramics, $(Li_{0.04}Na_{0.44}K_{0.52)(Nb_{0.86}Ta_{0.10}Sb_{0.04})O_3$ ceramics were fabricated with the variation of calcination temperature and sintering temperature. The ceramics couldn't be sintered at temperature less than $1110^{\circ}C$ and showed the highest density at calcination temperature of $800^{\circ}C$. Crystal structure of the ceramics showed pseudo-tetragonal phase. At the calcination temperature of $800^{\circ}C$ and sintering temperature of $1110^{\circ}C$, the optimal values of $density=4.64g/cm^3,\;kp=0.45,\;{\varepsilon}r=1336,\;d_{33}=254pC/N\;and\;Tc=335^{\circ}C$ were obtained.
