Reading Comprehension requiring Discrete Reasoning Over Paragraphs for Korean (단락에 대한 이산 추론을 요구하는 한국어 기계 독해)

  • 기계 독해는 단락과 질의가 주어졌을 때 단락 내 정답을 찾는 자연어 처리 태스크이다. 최근 벤치마킹 데이터셋에서 사전학습 언어모델을 기반으로 빠른 발전을 보이며 특정 데이터셋에서 인간의 성능을 뛰어넘는 성과를 거두고 있다. 그러나 이는 단락 내 범위(span)에서 추출된 정보에 관한 것으로, 실제 연산을 요구하는 질의에 대한 응답에는 한계가 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존 범위 내에서 응답이 가능할 뿐만이 아니라, 연산에 관한 이산 추론을 요구하는 단락 및 질의에 대해서도 응답이 가능한 기계 독해 모델의 효과성을 검증하고자 한다. 이를 위해 영어 DROP (Discrete Reasoning Over the content of Paragraphs, DROP) 데이터셋으로부터 1,794개의 질의응답 쌍을 Google Translator API v2를 사용하여 한국어로 번역 및 정제하여 KoDROP (Korean DROP, KoDROP) 데이터셋을 구축하였다. 단락 및 질의를 참조하여 연산을 수행하기 위한 의미 태그를 한국어 KoBERT 및 KoELECTRA에 접목하여, 숫자 인식이 가능한 KoNABERT, KoNAELECTRA 모델을 생성하였다. 실험 결과, KoDROP 데이터셋은 기존 기계 독해 데이터셋과 비교하여 단락에 대한 더욱 포괄적인 이해와 연산 정보를 요구하였으며, 가장 높은 성능을 기록한 KoNAELECTRA는 KoBERT과 비교하여 F1, EM에서 모두 19.20의 월등한 성능 향상을 보였다.

The Physiological Activities of Kyung Ok-Ko(II) -Effects on the Hyperglycemia, Hypertension, Anti-Fatigue and Decrease of Body Weight- (경옥고의 생리활성 (II) -고혈당, 고혈압, 지구력 및 체중감소에 미치는 영향-)

  • The studies were conducted to investigate the anti-diabetic activities on the hyperglycemia induced by streptozotocin in rats, anti-hypertensive activities in SHR, anti-fatigue and decrease of body weight activities in mice by Kyung Ok-Ko water extract and drink, which is a traditional preparation in Korea. 1. The blood glucose levels of streptozotocin-induced hyperglycemic rats were dose-dependently decreased by administrations of various doses(300, 600, 1200 mg/kg) of Kyung Ok-Ko water extract. Particularly, administration of 600, 1200 mg/kg were significantly shown to decrease glucose levels comparing with control group. 2. The serum total cholesterol levels of streptozotocin-induced hyperglycemic rats were dose-dependently decreased by administrations of various doses(300, 600, 1200 mg/kg) of Kyung Ok-Ko water extract. Particularly, administration of 600, 1200 mg/kg were significantly shown to decrease total cholesterol levels comparing with control group. 3. The serum triglyceride levels of streptozotocin-induced hyperglycemic rats were dose-dependently decreased by administrations of various doses(300, 600, 1200 mg/kg) of Kyung Ok-Ko water extract. Particularly, administration of 600, 1200 mg/kg were significantly shown to decrease triglyceride levels comparing with control group. 4. The blood pressure in SHRs were dose-dependently lower descended by administration of Kyung Ok-Ko water extract 300, 600, and 1200 mg/kg, respectively. 5. The swimming time of Kyung Ok-Ko water extract(100, 200, 400 mg/kg) and drink(0.7, 1.4, 2.1 ml/kg) were significantly extended to all experimental group dose-dependantly. 6. The decrease of body weight of Kyung Ok-Ko water extract(100, 200, 400 mg/kg) and drink(0.7, 1.4, 2.1 ml/kg) were significantly evaluated dose-dependently in all experimental group.

  • For estimation of Ko value depending upon the stress history of dry sand, a new type of Ko oedometer apparatus is devised, and the horizontal earth pressure is accurately measured. For this study, 2 types of one-cyclic Ko loading/unloading models have been studied experimentally using four relative densities of the sand. The results obtained in this test are as follows Kon, the coefficient of earth pressure at rest for virgin loading is a function of the angle of internal friction of the sand and is determined as Kon=1-0.914 sin, Kou the coefficient of earth pressure at -rest for virgin unloading is a function of K. and overconsolidation ratio(OCR), and is determined as Kou : Kon(OCR)". The exponent u, increases as the relative density increases. Ko,, the coefficient of earth pressure at rest for virgin reloading decreases in hyperbola type as the vertical stress, cv', increases. And, the stress path at virgin reloading lends to the maximum prestress point, independent upon the value of the minimum unloading stress. The gradient of this curve, mr, increases as OCR increases.ases.

Alpha 1,3-Galactosyltransferase Deficiency in Miniature Pigs Increases Non-Gal Xenoantigens

  • To avoid hyperacute rejection of xenografts, ${\alpha}1,3$-galactosyltransferase knock-out (GalT KO) pigs have been produced. In this study, we examined whether Sia-containing glycoconjugates are important as an immunogenic non-Gal epitope in the pig liver with disruption of ${\alpha}1,3$-galactosyltransferase gene. The target cells were then used as donor cells for somatic cell nuclear transfer (scNT). A total of 1,800 scNT embryos were transferred to 10 recipients. One recipient developed to term and naturally delivered two piglets. Real-time RT-PCR and glycosyltransferase activity showed that ${\alpha}2,3$-sialyltransferase (${\alpha}2,3ST$) and ${\alpha}2,6$-sialyltransferase (${\alpha}2,6ST$) in the heterozygote GalT KO liver have higher expression levels and activities compared to controls, respectively. According to lectin blotting, sialic acidcontaining glycoconjugate epitopes were also increased due to the decreasing of ${\alpha}$-Gal in heterozygote GalT KO liver, whereas GalNAc-containing glycoconjugate epitopes were decreased in heterozygote GalT KO liver compare to the control. Furthermore, the heterozygote GalT KO liver showed a higher Neu5Gc content than control. Taken together, these finding suggested that the deficiency of GalT gene in pigs resulted in increased production of Neu5Gc-bounded epitopes (H-D antigen) due to increase of ${\alpha}2,6$-sialyltransferase. Thus, this finding suggested that the deletion of CMAH gene to the GalT KO background is expected to further prolong xenograft survival.

Characteristics of Wintering Habitat use by Black-tailed Gulls (Larus crassirostris) on the West Coast of Korea

  • This study used a GPS tracker to determine characteristics of wintering habitat use by black-tailed gulls on the west coast of Korea. Results of this study showed a southward movement in December and a northward movement in March. The wintering habitat was confirmed to include the southwest coastal island area (Group 1), the inland coastal area (Group 2), and China (Group 3). The wintering home range was the narrowest in October and the widest in December. Home range of Group 1 was increased from November, showing the maximum in December, decreased in February, and then tended to increase again in March. Group 2 showed the widest home range in November and a narrow range of home range from December. Home range of Group 3 showed a mixed pattern of group 1 and group 2. The flight rate was the lowest in January and the highest in March. Day and night flight rates showed significant differences by month. This study identified wintering characteristics of the West Coast population of black-tailed gulls on the West Coast, including their wintering areas, migration periods, and use patterns. These wintering characteristics of black-tailed gull in the west coast area are thought to be affected by environmental factors (such as food resources and fishing activities) and geographical characteristics of the West Coast where many islands are distributed.

A Case of Nummular Eczema (화폐상 습진 한방 치험 1례)

  • Objective : The purpose of this study is to know the effect of Ko-Bang(古方) on nummular eczema. Methods : We decided the treatment principle through the abdominal examination and symptoms. We gave Ko-Bang to the patient and observed the progress. We used visual analogue scale(VAS). Results : After the treatment the grade of VAS was decreased and the symptoms of nummular eczema were significantly improved. Conclusion : After the treatment of Hwanggijakyakgyejigoju-Tang(黃耆芍藥桂枝苦酒湯), the symptoms of nummular eczema were disappeared and Ko-Bang was effective on the treatment of intractable skin diseases.

A study on semantic ambiguity in the Korean Named Entity Recognition (한국어 개체명 인식 과제에서의 의미 모호성 연구)

  • 본 논문에서는 맥락에 따라 개체명의 범주가 달라지는 어휘를 중심으로 교차 태깅된 개체명의 성능을 레이블과 스팬 정답률, 문장 성분과 문장 위치에 따른 정답률로 나누어 살펴 보았다. 레이블의 정확도는 KoGPT2, mBERT, KLUE-RoBERTa 순으로 정답률이 높아지는 양상을 보였다. 스팬 정답률에서는 mBERT가 KLUE-RoBERTa보다 근소하게 성능이 높았고 KoGPT2는 매우 낮은 정확도를 보였다. 다만, KoGPT2는 개체명이 문장의 끝에 위치할 때는 다른 모델과 비슷한 정도로 성능이 개선되는 결과를 보였다. 문장 종결 위치에서 인식기의 성능이 좋은 것은 실험에 사용된 말뭉치의 문장 성분이 서술어일 때 명사의 중첩이 적고 구문이 패턴화되어 있다는 특징과 KoGPT2가 decoder기반의 모델이기 때문으로 여겨지나 이에 대해서는 후속 연구가 필요하다.

  • 쇼핑몰 리뷰 생성기는 사용자로 하여금 사용자를 대신해서 리뷰를 생성할 수 있는 기술이고, 옷 상태, 배송 상태, 사이즈와 관련된 세 가지의 카테고리를 이용하여 부분마다 점수를 부여하여 점수에 맞는 리뷰를 생성할 수 있도록 하는 기술이다. 해당 리뷰 생성기는 점수마다 생성되는 리뷰가 달라지기 때문에 다양한 리뷰 생성을 원하는 웹, 앱 쇼핑몰 사이트에서 적용이 가능한 기술이다. 본 논문에서는 KoGPT2를 이용한 리뷰 생성과 카테고리와 점수에 따른 다르게 생성되는 리뷰의 방식을 제안한다. 그리고 두 방식을 결합한 리뷰 생성의 방식을 제안한다. 제안하는 방식들은 카테고리고리 마다 학습하는 모델을 다르게 적용하고 있다.

ATG5 knockout promotes paclitaxel sensitivity in drug-resistant cells via induction of necrotic cell death

  • Autophagy regulators are often effective as potential cancer therapeutic agents. Here, we investigated paclitaxel sensitivity in cells with knockout (KO) of ATG5 gene. The ATG5 KO in multidrug resistant v-Ha-ras-transformed NIH 3T3 cells (Ras-NIH 3T3/Mdr) was generated using the CRISPR/Cas9 technology. The qPCR and LC3 immunoblot confirmed knockout of the gene and protein of ATG5, respectively. The ATG5 KO restored the sensitivity of Ras-NIH 3T3/Mdr cells to paclitaxel. Interestingly, ATG5 overexpression restored autophagy function in ATG5 KO cells, but failed to rescue paclitaxel resistance. These results raise the possibility that low level of resistance to paclitaxel in ATG5 KO cells may be related to other roles of ATG5 independent of its function in autophagy. The ATG5 KO significantly induced a G2/M arrest in cell cycle progression. Additionally, ATG5 KO caused necrosis of a high proportion of cells after paclitaxel treatment. These data suggest that the difference in sensitivity to paclitaxel between ATG5 KO and their parental MDR cells may result from the disparity in the proportions of necrotic cells in both populations. Thus, our results demonstrate that the ATG5 KO in paclitaxel resistant cells leads to a marked G2/M arrest and sensitizes cells to paclitaxel-induced necrosis.
