Thiocyanate space was determined in 23 bilaterally nephrectomized rabbits in acute metabolic acidosis and alkalosis. Acid-base disturbances were induced by the infusion of 0.3 N HCI or 0.3 N NaOH solution intravenously with the rate of 1 ml/min for 40 to 60 minutes. The blood pressure was monitored throughout the experiment and no changes in blood pressure was confirmed. The following results were obtained. 1. In the saline infused control rabbits, PH was 7.385 with negligible change in pH after the infusion, SCN space was 23.6% of body weight. 2. In the metabolic acidosis group, pH dropped from 7.417 to 7 130 and SCN space was 22.8% of body weight and suggested a negligible change in the extracellular space volume. 3. In the metabolic alkalosis group, pH increased from 7.393 to 7.478 and SCN space was 25.7% of body weight which confirmed a significant increase in the extracellular space volume.

We present the interim results of simultaneous time monitoring observations of $^{28}SiO$ v = 1, 2, J = 1-0, $^{29}SiO$ v = 0, J = 1-0 and $H_2O$ $6_{16}-5_{23}$ maser lines toward 10 known water fountain sources at a post-AGB stage. The observations have been carried out from 2009 June to 2013 September using the 21m single dish radio telescopes of the Korean VLBI Network. From six sources, we detected well separated red- and blue-shifted $H_2O$ maser features with large velocity ranges more than 100 km $s^{-1}$. From four sources, we detected red- and/or blue-shifted $H_2O$ maser features depended on observational epochs. However, we could not detected SiO maser emission from any sources and any epochs. For a representative water fountain source W43A, we obtained $H_2O$ maser spectra at 17 epochs which show a clear bipolar and discontinuous mass ejections. They also showed a periodic change between red-shifted and blue-shifted peaks. However, we need a more regular and short-time interval monitoring observations in order to fix the period and peak intensity variation interval.

The molecular structures of 2-SC₄H₃CH=NN(H)C/sub 6/H/sub 5/(C/sub 11/H/sub 10/N₂S) and (GaMe₂)₂(2-SC₄H₃CH=NNC/sub 6/H/sub 5/)₂(C/sub 26/H/sub 30/Ga₂N₄S₂) have been determined by X-ray diffraction. This paper presents a systematic study for theoretical aspects of a unified approach to the abstract relative Fourier transforms over canonical homogeneous spaces of semi-direct product groups with Abelian normal factor. Let H be a locally compact group, K be a locally compact Abelian (LCA) group, and ${\theta}:H{\rightarrow}Aut(K)$ be a continuous homomorphism. Let $G_{\theta}=H{\ltimes}_{\theta}K$ be the semi-direct product of H and K with respect to ${\theta}$ and $G_{\theta}/H$ be the canonical homogeneous space (left coset space) of $G_{\theta}$. We introduce the notions of relative dual homogeneous space and also abstract relative Fourier transform over $G_{\theta}/H$. Then we study theoretical properties of this approach.

Space Science and Technology Laboratory at Kyung Hee University developed an 80cm Nasmyth telescope with the joint work of Space & Astronomy, Inc. It was set up at Muju county public astronomical observatory in Jeonlabuk-Do. Nasmyth focus system was selected for the telescope to use two focal points by a rotatable tertiary mirror. Focal ratios of the telescope are f10, f5 respectively. Support of the main mirror is made with Lasalle-system. This system uses 24-points in the back side of the mirror that are all resting on small counter-weights and side support is 10-points Boll link Flexible type with 2 Lasalle type. The mount is wheel & disk type Alt-Azimuth design using DC-servo motors. External high accuracy encoder has 47,600 sine-waves/rot. These encoders are used to make real-time corrections on all gearing errors.
