The purpose of this research is to investigate economic factors that determine characteristics of B2B e-Marketplaces. From a previous research work, we classify B2B e-Marketplaces into four forms: MRO Hubs, Catalogue Hubs, Yield Managers, and Exchanges. This classification is based upon "What businesses buy" and "How businesses buy." In an attempt to identify economic factors that determine e-Marketplace forms, we employ three economic factors: buyer/seller relationships, features of products traded, and characteristics of industries or markets. Through extensive literature reviews, we have selected six variables which can be used to explain reasons for different e-Marketplace forms: asset specificity and information asymmetry for the buyer/seller relationship, standardization and price variability for the product features, entry barrier and market volatility for the market characteristics. This research conducts six in-depth case studies to explain that "Why different forms of e-Marketplace emerge?" The research framework intends to provide link between e-Marketplace forms and six economic variables. Six case studies are based on interviews with CEO or team managers of e-Marketplace firms. This study has found six economic variables, explaining well reasons for different e-Marketplace forms. Research findings are summarized as propositions so that survey-type research can be conducted with a large number of samples in the future.
This study examines the ePortfolio structure of IT company design interns and the differences among companies in 'Cofolios' site for employment of design major students. First, we examine the common configuration steps of ePortfolios [1. Project Brief${\rightarrow}$2-1. Investigation and Analysis${\rightarrow}$2-2. Strategy development${\rightarrow}$2-3. Virtualization, Final Design${\rightarrow}$2-4. Presentation, Evaluation, and Improvement${\rightarrow}$3. Read More]. Secondly, all the sub-items used in the ePortfolio were organized into words and classified into 6 stages. Finally, this was analyzed by majors and companies. Through this, the interns of the IT companies can [2-2. Strategy development] and that they are actively utilizing the 'connectivity' attribute linking the links. In addition, interns confirmed that the ePortfolio was structured differently depending on their major and the desired company.

One of the prominent challenges of e-government identified in developing countries is low level of ICT literacy and skills of e-government users. For those countries at the nascent stage of e-government development, it is crucial to identify and provide e-skills needed from the demand side. However, prior research has mostly focused on the supply side of e-skills, ignoring the consumption side of e-skills. In addition, no user centric approach for e-skills identification and development for e-service consumption, with respect to the stages of e-government development, have been proposed and validated. The purpose of this article is thus to: 1) Identify skills required for e-services utilization by all participants-citizens, public, and private sector employees-involved in G2C, G2B, and G2E e-government relationships respectively; assuming they are consumers of e-government and to 2) Propose and validate an user-centric approach for e-skills identification and development based on stages of e-government utilizing the Delphi method. As a result of the study, a comprehensive list of e-skills (N = 81) was generated. We found that e-skills required for e-service consumption are not merely technical; they include a wide variety of related skills that can be applied to enhancing e-skills. Therefore, the findings can serve as a standard curriculum for training and educating both citizens and government employees in developing countries. Moreover, the findings of this research may also facilitate international organizations in indentifying and measuring citizens' readiness for e-government in terms of e-skills.
This is the first reported observation of absorption and emission of glasses with a 4d transition metal ion(rhodium). The optical absorption and photoluminescence spectra, and the lifetimes of rhodium ions in phosphate glasses are interpreted on the basis of strong-field scheme of Sugano-Tanabe diagram. We conclude that rhodium ion is present in its divalent form. $^2 E{\rightarrow}^2 T_1$ and $^2 E{\rightarrow}^2 T_2$ transitions are superimposed and observed at 460 nm. Whereas $^2 T_1{\rightarrow}^2 E$ and $^2 T_1{\rightarrow}^2 E$ transitions are observed at 650 nm and 580 nm, respectively.
Recently, the domestic e-commerce market has achieved remarkable growth through the spread of e-commerce throughout the industry. Nevertheless, the ratio of e-commerce use by our small and medium-sized enterprises has turned out to be very low. The reason for this low participation rate of SMEs in B2B e-commerce market is due to various reasons, but also the lack of empirical performance measurement and evaluation considering the characteristics of B2B e-commerce market in which SMEs participate. Therefore, this study was intended to analyze the effectiveness of B2B e-commerce use of B2B e-commerce to companies that are provided in conjunction with e-Marketplace by public credit guarantee agencies with experience in use. To this end, 14 items related to finance derived through prior research were used to conduct management performance analysis and hypothesis verification from a financial perspective. The implications of this study are expected to be that an empirical performance analysis from the financial perspective of a B2B e-commerce guarantee Utilized company can be used as a basis for policymaking for the activation of the B2B e-commerce guarantee in the future, thus contributing to the establishment of a stable business environment by supporting the expansion of e-commerce by small and medium-sized businesses.
Purpose: This purpose of study is to investigate the effect of UV-A-blocking or brown-tinted ophthalmic lens against A2E photooxidation which known as one of the etiologies of AMD(Age-related macular degenaration). Methods: The photooxidation of A2E, synthetic product of two molecules of all-trans-retinal and ethanolamine, was induced by the exposure to blue light (420~470 nm, $94mW/cm^2$) for 3 minutes. The inhibitory effect of UVblocking or brown-tinted ophthalmic lens against A2E photooxidation was evaluated by UV absorbance and HPLC analysis of remained A2E after the exposure to blue light. Results: UV-blocking ophthalmic lens could not inhibit A2E photooxidation induced by blue light irradiation. There was no difference in A2E photooxidation in the presence of brown-tinted ophthalmic lens to block 15% of visible ray, however, those lenses blocking 55% or 86% of visible ray showed the inhibitory effect of A2E photooxidation as 9.98% and 16.55%, respectively. By HPLC analysis, the amount of residual A2E which was not blocked by any lens was $199.29{\pm}26.53{\mu}M$, however, the inhibitory effect against A2E photooxidation was shown in the presence of brown-tinted lens. The remained A2Es were $264.58{\pm}31.91{\mu}M$ and $402.93{\pm}28.68{\mu}M$ in brown-tinted lenses of 55% and 86% blocking visible ray, respectively. However, there was no inhibitory effect against A2E photooxidation in the case of UV-blocking lens by HPLC analysis. Conclusions: In this study, brown-tinted ophthalmic lens was confirmed to have the inhibitory effect against the photooxidation of A2E, a causing substance of AMD onset.
B2B transaction was expected to dominate in the global market and thus many e-marketplaces have been built since 1999 in Korea. However, only a few e-marketplaces are thriving and the future of B2B e-marketplaces except MRO area seem to be uncertain. This paper explores why B2B transactions only in MRO area are rapidly increasing and examines the competing structure and business models of MRO e-marketplace. Business models of MRO e-marketplaces are various among different countries. However, they can be classified as three business models:information portal model, purchasing agent model, open market model. It is not easy to answer which business model is most competitive because each models have their own advantages and functions. Information portal model can be easily applied for the e-marketplace which operates off-line enterprises. Purchasing agent model is favorable to the e-marketplaces which has already obtained buyers and sellers. Open market model is desirable to the e-marketplace which has excess to global market.
Let E be an elliptic curve defined over ℚ of conductor N, c the Manin constant of E, and m the product of Tamagawa numbers of E at prime divisors of N. Let K be an imaginary quadratic field where all prime divisors of N split in K, PK the Heegner point in E(K), and III(E/K) the Shafarevich-Tate group of E over K. Let 2uK be the number of roots of unity contained in K. Gross and Zagier conjectured that if PK has infinite order in E(K), then the integer c · m · uK · |III(E/K)| $\frac{1}{2}$ is divisible by |E(ℚ)tor|. In this paper, we prove that this conjecture is true if E(ℚ)tor ≅ ℤ/2ℤ or ℤ/4ℤ except for two explicit families of curves. Further, we show these exceptions can be removed under Stein-Watkins conjecture.
The present study was designed to examine the effects of selenium(Se), vitamin E(Vit. E) and recombinant Bovine Somatotropin(rBST) administration on the selenium and vitamin E concentrations of blood in Hanwoo sires Hanwoo sires were randomly assigned to five groups; 1. control, 2. rBST, 0.09mg/kg body weight (BW) 3. Vit E, 1,500IU/kg BW, 4. Se 0.lmg/kg BW, 5. Vit E, 1.500IU plus Se 0.1mg/kg BW. rBST, Vit. E and Se for each experimental group were given 6 times at 15 days interval by intramuscular injection. Blood samples were collected 10 times for experimental periods, separated the serum by centrifugation, and stored at -7$0^{\circ}C$. Se and Vito E concentrations in blood were measured by fluorophotometer and HPLC. Se concentrations of blood in control, rBST, Vito E, Se and Se plus Vito E groups were 64.55, 65.50, 68.15, 73.11 and 74.09 ppb/$m\ell$, respectively. Se concentration in Vit. E plus Se group was significantly higher than in control and rBST groups (P<0.05), but Vito E group was not significantly different in control and rBST groups(P>0.05). The Vit. E concentrations of blood in control, rBST, Vit. E, Se and Se plus Vit. E groups were 2.27, 2.32, 2.80, 2.58 and 2.75 ppm/$m\ell$, respectively. Vit. E and Vit. E plus Se groups were slightly higher than those of any other groups, but not significantly difference in 외 I experimental groups(P<0.05). These results indicate that Se and Vit. E concentrations of blood were slightly increased with the injection of Se and Vit. E in Hanwoo sires.
This study was carried out to develop an immunoassay for the diagnosis of the pregnancy and ovarian function of domestic animals. Using 2E92C10 monoclonal antibody(McAb) generated against estrone-3-glucuronide(E1-3-G) and appeared a high cross-reactivity with estrone-3-sulfate(E1-3-S), chemiluminesence immunoassay (CIA) to detect E1-3-S was developed. 2E92C10 McAb cross-reacted with E1-3-S (30%) was purified from ascites fluid using protein G sepharose gel column. The purity of purified antibody fraction was monitored by SDS-PAGE and was better compared to that of crude ascite fluid. The soild and liquid phase CIA for E1-3-S were established utilizing 2E92C10 antibody and E1-3-G-ABEI conjugate used as a tracer. As the results, the titer of 2E92C10 antibody was 5g/ml in soild phase and 1:2000 in liquid phase. The sensitivity on soild and solid phase CIA were about 200 pg/ml. These results indicate that CIA for measurement of E1-3-S was successfully developed by using ant-E1-3-G McAb cross-reacted with E1-3-S and could be usefully used to research this area.
