  • HCr$O_4^-$에 의한 $[Mo_3O_4(C_2O_4)_3(H_2O)_3]^{2-}$의 산화는 몰리브덴(IV)화합물, $[Mo_2O_5(C_2O_4)_2(H_2O)_2]^{2-}$를 생성한다. HCr$O_4^-$$[Mo_3O_4(C_2O_4)_3(H_2O)_3]^{2-}$의 반응에 대한 화학양론은 $2Mo_3^{IV} + 4Cr^{VI} {\to} 3Mo_2^{VI} + 4Cr^{III}$와 같다. 관찰된 속도상수는 수소이온농도에 의존한다.$Cr^{VI}$$Cr^V$$Cr^{IV}$를 거쳐서 $Cr^{III}$로 일전자씩 연속적으로 변화한다. 상세한 메카니즘이 논의된다.

  • 분광광도법을 이용하여 $trans-[Cr(tmd)_2FX]^+(X=F^-,\;Cl^-)$ 착이온의 압력과 온도변화에 따른 수화반응의 속도상수를 구하였다. 속도상수의 변화로부터 열역학적 인자를 구하고 이 값을 이용하여 두 착물의 반응메카니즘을 구하였다. 수화반응의 속도는 온도와 압력이 증가함에 따라 증가하였으며, 이 반응의 활성화엔트로피와 활성화부피는 각각 $trans-[Cr(tmd)_2F_2]^+$착이온의 경우 5.2eu와 $-3∼-2\;cm^3mol^{-1}$ 이고 trans-[Cr(tmd)_2FCl]^+$ 착이온의 경우는 -16.62eu와 $-8∼-7\;cm^3mol^{-1}$ 이었다. 이 값들로 보아 $trans-[Cr(tmd)_2F_2]^+$착이온의 수화반응은 교환회합(Ia) 메카니즘으로 진행되고 $trans-[Cr(tmd)_2FCl]^+$ 착이온의 수화반응은 해리(D) 메카니즘으로 진행되는 것으로 생각된다.

  • Crystal Structure and Magnetic Properties of $(LaS)_xCrS_2(x \approx 1.20$)가 1273K에서 $La_S_3$ , Cr, S의 혼합물의 반응으로부터 합성되었다. $(LaS)_xCrS_2( x\approx 1.20$)의 XRD회절 pattern은 monoclinic의 LaS-부격자, triclinic의 $CrS_{2}$-부격자와 그들의 초격자로서 해석되었다. 부격자의 온도의존성을 저온에서 X-선 회절분석으로 조사하였다. 77K~실온의 온도역에서 $(LaS)_xCrS_2(x \approx 1.20$)의 자기자화율을 Faraday balance법으로 측정하였다. $(LaS)_xCrS_2(x \approx 1.20$)은 실온 $\sigma$ -H plot에서 paramagnetic한 거동을 나타내었다. 관측된 유효자기 moment($\mu_{eff}$)는 $Cr^{3+}$을 spin-only에 의한 것과 $La^{3+}$을 spin-only와 orbital에 의한 것으로 계산할 경우 잘 일치되었다.

  • In a salb-preheating furnace of steel-making industry, the oxidation/degradation behavior of Cr3C2 ceramic composited dkid button reaction with scale in Fe-oxide system occurs and was thermodynamically examined. The reaction of scale with Cr3C2 skid button produces Cr3C2(s) and C(s), and Co gas is then evolved from the reaction of C(s) with Fe-scale. Cr3C2(s) from oxidation of Cr3C2(s) reacted with Fe-oxide(s) becomes high-melting chromite. The chromite acts as protection layer against further oxidation and improves resistance of the reaction of Cr3C2 skid button with Fe-scale.

  • The fluorescence emission spectrum of Cr$^{3+}$ doped BeAl$_{6}$ O$_{10}$ crystals at 300 K contains a broad band, three R-like lines and another emission lines. It has been identified by a lifetime resolution spectroscopic technique that there are three kinds of single-Cr$^{3+}$ centers, Cr(I), Cr(II), Cr(III), in this crystal. Cr(I) and Cr(II) are high-crystal field centers responsible for the three main "R-lines", and Cr(III) is a low-crystal field center responsible for the main broad band emission. The structures of these luminescent centers are reported.ted.

The Electrochemical Behavior of Ni-base Metallic Glasses Containing Cr in H2SO4 Solutions

  • In order to develop alloy resistance in aggressive sulphat ion, the corrosion behavior of metallic glasses $Ni_{92{\cdot}3}Si_{4.5}B_{32}$, $Ni_{82,3}Cr_7Fe_3Si_{4.5}B_{3.2}$ and $Ni_{75.5}Cr_{13}Fe_{4.2}Si_{4.5}B_{2.8}$ (at %) at different concentrations of $H_2SO_4$ solutions was examined by electrochemical methods and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and X-ray Photoelectron Microscopy (XPS) analyses. The corrosion kinetics and passivation behavior was studied. A direct proportion was observed between the corrosion rate and acid concentration in the case of $Ni_{92{\cdot}3}Si_{4.5}B_{32}$ and $Ni_{75.5}Cr_{13}Fe_{4.2}Si_{4.5}B_{2.8}$ alloys. Critical concentration was observed in the case of $Ni_{82,3}Cr_7Fe_3Si_{4.5}B_{3.2}$ alloy. The influence of the alloying element is reflected in the increasing resistance of the protective film. XPS analysis confirms that the protection film on the $Ni_{92{\cdot}3}Si_{4.5}B_{32}$ alloy was NiS which is less protective than that formed on Cr containing alloys. The corrosion rate of $Ni_{82,3}Cr_7Fe_3Si_{4.5}B_{3.2}$ and $Ni_{75.5}Cr_{13}Fe_{4.2}Si_{4.5}B_{2.8}$. alloys containing 7% and 13% Cr are $7.90-26.1{\times}10^{-3}$ mm/y which is lower about 43-54 times of the alloy $Ni_{92{\cdot}3}Si_{4.5}B_{32}$ (free of Cr). The high resistance of $Ni_{75.5}Cr_{13}Fe_{4.2}Si_{4.5}B_{2.8}$ alloy at the very aggressive media may due to thicker passive film of $Cr_2O_3$ which hydrated to hydrated chromium oxyhydroxide.

도재소부용 Ni-Cr-Mo계 치과용 합금의 미세조직 및 기계적성질 (Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Ni-Cr-Mo Based Dental Cast Iron for Porcelain-Fused-to-Metal Firing)

  • The microstructure, mechanical properties and melting range of Ni-Cr-Mo based alloys were investigated to develop Be-free Ni-Cr-Mo base dental alloys for Porcelain-Fused-to-Metal Firing(PFM). All as-cast alloys showed dendritic structure. Rockwell hardness of 20Cr7Mo was increased with addition of Si and Ti. On the contrary, it was decreased with addition of Co. The duplex alloying elemental addition such as 3Co + xTi, 2Si + xCo and 2Si + xTi to 20Cr7Mo resulted in much increase of hardness. Rockwell hardness and compressive strength for 20Cr3CoSiTi or 17Cr6CoSiTi alloy that add Si-Ti had similar values compared to the commercial alloys. Melting range for 20Cr3CoSiTi and 17Cr6CoSiTi alloy that add Si-Ti showed similar or lower than commercial alloys. In conclusion, 20Cr3CoSiTi and 17Cr6CoSiTi alloys can be applied for commercial use.

VALENCE BAND PHOTOEMISSION STUDY OF Fe OVERLAYERS ON Cr

  • Electronic structures of Fe overlayers on Cr(Fe/Cr) films, with an Fe coverage of $1-20{\AA}$, have been investigated by using photoemission spectroscopy. Experimental results are compared with supercell band structure calculations for a system with monolayer (ML) Fe on each side of five layer Cr, Fe(1ML)/Cr(5ML)/Fe(1ML). The extracted Fe 3d partial spectral weight in Fe/Cr exhibits very interesting features for very thin Fe overlayers. First, a sharp emissionnear the Fermi energy is observed, which is expected to originate primarily from hybridization between Fe and Cr 3d electrons at the Fe/Cr interface, and partially from the Fe 3d surface states in the Fe overlayer. Second, other structures are observed at higher binding energies which resemble the Cr 3d valence bands, also suggesting large hybridization between Fe and Cr 3d states at the Fe/Cr interface. These conjectures are confirmed by band structure calculations for Fe(1ML)/Cr(5ML)/Fe(1ML).

$Al_2O_3-CaO-Cr_2O_3$ 계 내화물의 고온 안정성 (High Temperature Stability for Refractories of the System $Al_2O_3-CaO-Cr_2O_3$)

  • CaO was added to the $MgAlCrO_4$ spinel, a main component of the mag-chro refractroies, by 0, 1, 5 and 10 mol% before sintering at 135$0^{\circ}C$ in air. The X-ray diffraction analysis produced an additional X-ray diffraction pattern of 8CaO.$6Al_2O_3$.$2CrO_3$ besides that of $MgAlCrO_4$. The formation of 8CaO.$6Al_2O_3$.$2CrO_3$ was interpreted as due to the presence of CaO.8CaO.$6Al_2O_3$.$2CrO_3$ was unstable and easily vaporized. It was concluded that formation of the unstable pollutant 8CaO.$6Al_2O_3$.$2CrO_3$ could be prevented in reducing atmospheres. It was found that the basic refractories containing $Al_2 O_3 -CaO-Cr_2 O_3$ system would be more stable and much less toxic in reducing at mospheres than in oxidizing stmosphere.

Fe-Cr합금의 침탄에 관한 연구 (A study on the carburization of Fe-Cr alloys.)

  • The properties of carburization on Fe-Cr alloys at 900-96$0^{\circ}C$were investiged. The study on carbide layer which had developed during solid-carburizing was made by use of S.E.M, E.PM.A, and X-ray analyzer. The results obtained were summarized as follows, the composition of carbide and the value of activation energy for the growth of carbide layer on each Fe-Cr alloy were 1) Fe-1Cr : M3C and 52Kcal/mole 2) Fe-3Cr and Fe-5Cr : M7C3and 85-88Kcal/mole 3) Fe-7Cr and Fe-9Cr : (M7C3+M23C6)and 55-66Kcal/mole.
