  • 부압식 스프링클러 설비는 우리나라에서 일반적으로 사용되고 있는 준비작동식이나 건식 또는 습식 스프링클러 설비의 2차측 배관내의 압력을 부압(진공)상태로 유지시켜 오작동(스프링클러 헤드의 파손 또는 배관의 누수) 시에 발생되는 소화수의 누수를 진공압(-0.05~-0.08MPa)으로 흡입하는 구조로 설계되어 수손피해에 대한 위험도를 제거 하여 기존의 스프링클러 시스템의 문제점을 해결 할 수 있는 획기적인 기술로 볼 수 있다. 또한 부압식 스프링클러 설비는 습식, 준비작동식에 해당하는 시설에 모두 적용이 가능하며 매년 국내, 외에서 건설되는 모든 대상물에도 설치가 가능하며 기존 설비된 건물에도 손쉽게 적용이 가능하여 앞으로 IT관련 산업, 반도체 제조공장, 호텔, 학교, 병원, 관공서, 지하철 역사, 정밀가공 제조설비 등 특히 내진설계에 적용되고 있는바 그 적용성이 무궁무진한바 본 부압식 스프링클러 시스템의 연구를 통한 확대에 대한 가능성은 무한할 것으로 예상된다.

A Study on Fire Dynamics Simulation on the Arrangement of Aero System in the Residential (주거공간 에어로 시스템 배치에 관한 화재시뮬레이션 연구)

  • Purpose: The called Aero System is important to find the well detected place in the livingroom or bedroom so, it needs to the confirmation through the Fire Dynamics Simulation Method: A fire simulation of a residential space of 59 m2 was performed, and in order to find the point where the fire environment was exposed quickly, measuring points were installed at 0.6 m and 1.5 m in height for each bedroom and living room, and the point where the fire was quickly detected was confirmed. Result: It was confirmed that the temperature and carbon monoxide sensor set at a point of 1.5 m was quickly detected at the reference value. Conclusion: The Fire detection would be relatively quick if the product in which the fire extinguishing module and the AQI module were separated was installed on the wall.

  • Sulphur hexafluoride (SF6) is mostly used as a current-insulating medium in gas-insulated switchgears (GIS), owing to its excellent dielectric strength and arc-extinguishing performance. The global warming potential (GWP) of SF6, however, is 23,900 times that of CO2, and its life time in the atmosphere is 3,200 years. For these reasons, new eco-friendly gases to replace SF6 are required. In this study, the partial discharge (PD) characteristics of green gas for grid (g3) and dry air (N2/O2) were analyzed to compare with those of SF6. A PD electrode system was designed to simulate the protrusion defect in GISs and fabricated for experimentation. To compare the PD characteristics of each gas, the discharge inception voltage (DIV), discharge extinction voltage (DEV), discharge magnitude, discharge pulse number, and phase pattern were analyzed. Results from this study are expected to provide fundamental materials for the design of eco-friendly GISs.

An Experimental Study on a Discharge Pressure, Flow Rate and Foam Discharge Concentration through the Nozzle According to the Foam Suction Nipple Diameter (노즐 구경에 따른 포 수용액의 압력과 유량 및 농도 변화에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest the reasonable model of the caliber in suction nozzle, the pressure of suction nozzle, and the flow rate about foam system of line proportioner type using in the pumpcar. To test this, the experimental study was accomplished on the ground of the standards for the Performance Certification and Product Inspection of Foam Fire-extinguishing Chemical Mixing Machine. Aqueous Film Forming Foam in 3% and pipe type air foam nozzle with line proportioner FE 40 type were used. Test result showed that the pressure of suction nozzle within the limits between 0.25 MPa and 0.35 MPa was appropriate when the caliber in suction nozzle is 4 mm. Also, the pressure of suction nozzle within the limits between 0.45 MPa and 0.60 MPa was appropriate in the higher pressure than 4 mm when the caliber in suction nozzle is 5 mm.
