To analyze and evaluate the performance of developing air to water multi heat pump, the heat pump was installed and tested at low energy house in Daejeon, korea. Heating capacity of heat pump is 16.5KW and cooling capacity is 14.0KW. Space heating/cooling, floor heating and hot water is available. The results performance evaluation of heat pump in lab test showed that the coefficient of performance (cop) was 3.75, and heating capacity was 16.0KW in ambient temperature $7^{\circ}C$. Also at ambient temperature $-15^{\circ}C$, the COP was 1.69. At a low energy house, floor heating is controled by a floor heating water temperature and a room temperature. The COP of heat pump is decreased with frequent on/off operation for controlling of floor heating water temperature.
This paper presents the new cascade liquefaction cycles using $CO_2-C_2H_6-N_2$ and $CO_2-N_2O-N_2$. The performance of the cascade liquefaction cycles with respect to temperature differences in the LNG heat exchangers is analyzed using HYSYS software and then compared the performance of these cycles with phillips optimized cascade liquefaction cycle. The coefficient of performance of the new liquefaction cycles considered in this study decreases with the temperature differences in the LNG heat exchangers, but the compressor work, expander work and heat capacity in the LNG heat exchanger increases, respectively. From the comparison of performance of three cycles, the cascade liquefaction cycles using $CO_2-C_2H_6-N_2$ showed the highest COP. And the cycles using $CO_2-C_2H_6-N_2$ and $CO_2-N_2O-N_2$ presented the second and third highest COP, respectively. In the view of performance, the optimized cascade liquefaction cycle using $C_3H_8-C_2H_4-C_1H_4$ yields much better COP. But, in the environment view, it is found that the cascade liquefaction cycle using $CO_2-C_2H_6-N_2$ shows favorable characteristics.
In this paper, alternative natural refrigerant R290(Propane), R600(Butane), R717(Ammonia), R1270(Propylene) for freon refrigerant R22 were used working fluids for 2-stage compression and 1-stage expansion refrigeration system. The operating parameters considered in this study included evaporation temperature, condensation temperature, subcooling degree, superheating degree, mass flow rate ratio of inter-cooler. The main results were summarized as follows : The COP of 2-stage compression and 1-stage expansion refrigeration system increases with the increasing subcooling degree and mass flow rate ration of inter-cooler, but decreases with the increasing evaporating temperature, condensing temperature and superheating degree. Therefore, subcooling degree, mass flow rate ratio of inter-cooler of 2-stage compression and 1-stage expansion refrigeration system using natural refrigerants have an effect on COP of this system. The COP of natural refrigerants was higher than the COP of freon R22 in this study, so points to be considered are the security, the attached facilities for natural refrigerants than COP.

Since replication of plasmids must be strictly controlled, plasmids that generally perform rolling circle replication generally maintain a constant copy number by strictly controlling the replication initiator Rep at the transcriptional and translational levels. Plasmid pJB01 contains three orfs (copA, repB, repC or repABC) consisting of a single operon. From analysis of amino acid sequence, pJB01 CopA was homologous to the Cops, as a copy number control protein, of other plasmids. When compared with a CopG of pMV158, CopA seems to form the RHH (ribbon-helix-helix) known as a motif of generalized repressor of plasmids. The result of gel mobility shift assay (EMSA) revealed that the purified fusion CopA protein binds to the operator region of the repABC operon. To examine the functional role of CopA on transcriptional level, 3 point mutants were constructed in coding frame of copA such as CopA R16M, K26R and E50V. The repABC mRNA levels of CopA R16M, K26R and E50V mutants increased 1.84, 1.78 and 2.86 folds more than that of CopA wt, respectively. Furthermore, copy numbers owing to mutations in three copA genes also increased 1.86, 1.68 and 2.89 folds more than that of copA wt, respectively. These results suggest that CopA is the transcriptional repressor, and lowers the copy number of pJB01 by reducing repABC mRNA and then RepB, as a replication initiator.

Thermodynamic analysis of cascade refrigeration systems has attracted considerable research attention. On the other hand, a system evaluation based on thermodynamic analyses of the individual parts, including the evaporator, condenser, intercooler, expansion valve, etc., has received less attention. In this study, performance analysis was conducted on a cascade refrigeration system, which has an individual cooling and refrigeration evaporator, and equips the intercooler and air-cooled condenser in a series in a lower cycle. The thermo-fluid design was then performed on the major components of the system - upper condenser, lower condenser, cooling evaporator, refrigeration evaporator, intercooler, compressor, electronic expansion valve - of 15 kW refrigeration, and 8 kW cooling capacity using R-410A. A series of simulations were conducted on the designed system. The change in outdoor temperature from 26 C to 38 C resulted in the cooling capacity of the lower evaporator remaining approximately the same, whereas it decreased by 9% at the upper evaporator and by 63% at the intercooler. The COP decreased with increasing outdoor temperature. In addition, the COP of the cycle with the intercooler operation was higher that of the cycle without the intercooler operation. Furthermore, the increase in the upper condenser size by two fold increased the upper evaporator by 4%. On the other hand, the lower evaporator capacity remained the same. The COP of the upper cycle increased with increasing upper condenser size, whereas that of the lower cycle remained almost the same. When the size of the lower condenser was increased 2.8 fold, the intercooler capacity increased by 8%, whereas those of upper and the lower evaporator remained approximately the same. Furthermore, the COP of the lower cycle increased with an increase in the lower condenser. On the other hand, the change of the upper condenser was minimal.
We consider the minimum order of a graph G with a given lazy cop number $c_L(G)$. Sullivan, Townsend and Werzanski [7] showed that the minimum order of a connected graph with lazy cop number 3 is 9 and $k_3{\square}k_3$ is the unique graph on nine vertices which requires three lazy cops. They conjectured that for a graph G on n vertices with ${\Delta}(G){\geq}n-k^2$, $c_L(G){\leq}k$. We proved that the conjecture is true for k = 4. Furthermore, we showed that the Petersen graph is the unique connected graph G on 10 vertices with ${\Delta}(G){\leq}3$ having lazy cop number 3 and the minimum order of a connected graph with lazy cop number 4 is 16.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics (COP) of the heat pump system for various operating conditions with the use of seawater heat source and exhaust energy. To accomplish the goal, first of all, the computer simulation for heat pump system is carried out. The heat pump system model is made of a waste heat recovery system and a vapor compression refrigeration system, and the working fluid is R-22. The model calculated the change of COP with the variation of temperature and flow rate. The COP and the plate heat exchanger (PHE) area of the heat pump system are considered moderately high in the condensation temperature of $25^{\circ}^C$ and the evaporation temperature of $2^{\circ}^C$ in indoor culture system. The simulation results will be used effectively for the design and the performance prediction of heat pump system using unused energy in a land base aquaculture system.
Basic design of a solar driven absorption cooling machine(SDACM) with a cooling capacity of 5 USRT was carried out. The SDACM is a single effect cycle driven by low temperature hot water from solar collectors. The SDACM design data were calculated by the steady state simulation program which was developed in this study The variation of COP and cooling capacity of the SDACM were investigated at different off-design conditions. Both the cooling capacity and the system COP were improved with decreasing cooling water temperature. If hot water temperature was increased, the cooling capacity was improved but the system COP was found to be decreased. The decrease of the system COP were basically caused by increased thermal loads in the system components.

Middle-sized $CO_2$ water heater having compressor power of 7.45 kW was designed, and its performances were experimentally tested. Besides, optimum design of the $CO_2$ water heater was conducted by cycle simulation. When ambient temperature of $7^{\circ}C$ and hot water outlet temperature of $80^{\circ}C$ the $CO_2$ water heater showed the COP of 3.2. As hot water temperature increased the COP is getting decreased due to significant increase of compressor power consumption compared to increasing rate of heating capacity. When ambient temperature increased from $-3^{\circ}C$ to $12^{\circ}C$ the COP increased by 30%. The optimum components design of a gas cooler, an internal heat exchanger, and an evaporator were conducted, and the experimental correlation between amount of EEV opening and ambient temperature, and hot water temperature was suggested.
