  • Consider a tetrhedron is composed of six dihedral angles .phi.(i=1,2..., 6), and a vertex of a tetrahedron is also three dihedral angles. It will assume that a vertex A, for an example, is composed of there angles definded such as .alpha..betha. and .gamma. !. then there is a corresponding angle can be given as .phi1.,.phi2.,.phi3.. Here, in order to differentiate between a conventional triangle and dihedral angle, if a dihedral angle degined in this paper is symbolized as .phi..LAMBDA.,the value of cos.theta.of .phi./sab a/, in a trigonometric function rule,can be defined to tecos.phi..LAMBD/sab A/., and it is defined as a tetradedral cosine .phi. or simply called a tecos.phi.. Moreover, in a simillar method, the dihedral angle of tetrahedron .phi..LAMBDA. is given as : value of sin .theta. can defind a tetra-sin.phi..LAMBDA., and value of tan .theta. of .phi..LAMBDA. is a tetra-tan .phi..LAMBDA. By induction it can derive that a tetrahedral geometry on the basis of suggesting a geometric tetrahedron

삼각날개 와류장에서의 옆미끄럼과 받음각의 복합효과 (Combined Effects of Sideslip and AOA on the Vortical Flow of Delta Wing)

  • 본 논문은 $65^{\circ}$ 후퇴각을 갖는 삼각날개에 대하여 뿌리시위를 기준으로 한 레이놀즈수 $1.76{\times}10^6$에서 정상 풍동실험에 의한 결과를 보였다. 풍동실험은 총 188개의 압력공과 다채널 데이터 처리 시스템을 사용하여 날개 윗면에서의 압력 분포를 측정하였다. 날개 윗면에서의 압력분포의 분석으로부터 옆미끄럼각과 받음각이 날개의 공력 특성에 미치는 복합적인 영향에 대한 직관을 얻을 수 있었다. 옆미끄럼각이 있는 경우, 바람쪽 날개의 와류강도는 바람 반대쪽 날개의 화류강도보다 훨씬 강하였다. 이와 같은 좌우 날개의 비대칭적인 압력분포로 인하여 음의 롤링모멘트가 발생하였다. 하지만, 일정 범위의 받음각과 옆미끄럼각(${\alpha}$=$24^{\circ}{\sim}36^{\circ}C$, ${\beta}$=$-5^{\circ}{\sim}-15^{\circ}C$)에서는 롤링모멘트의 방향이 갑자기 바뀌는 롤링모멘트 역전현상을 관찰할 수 있었다.

切削加工 의 光彈性的 現象 에 관한 硏究( I ) (A Study on Photoelastic Fringe Patterns in Cutting Proces(I))

  • In this study the phenomenon of cutting stress which arises on cutting tools and work pieces in cutting process is investigated by rake angle of cutting tools and feed for this measurement, P$_{s}$-1 (high modulus, photolastic Inc.) was used as a cutting tool, P$_{s}$-3 (medium modulus, photolastic Inc.) was used as work piece and reduction apparatus was attached to the head stock, and orthogonal cutting was adapted as a cutting method and transparent glass was used to block the strain in the orientation of thickness. The followings are the results of this study. (1) Photoelastic experimental equipments have made it possible to make dynamic measurement and analyze stress distribution in cutting tool and work piece surface which has hitherto been conducted only in static measurement and analyzing method. (2) The maximum stress arising at tools and work pieces in cutting process is on the tool edge tip, and the maximum stress arising on the tip of cutting tools is equal to that on the contacting area of work pieces in values. (3) The distributions of maximum shear stress on certain parts of the cutting tools and work pieces are as follows; for cutting tools, .alpha.=12.deg., .alpha.=0.deg., .alpha.=-12.deg. in order, and for work pieces, .alpha.=-12.deg., .alpha.=0.deg., .alpha.=12.deg. in opposite order.der.

Strength and failure characteristics of the rock-coal combined body with single joint in coal

  • Geological dynamic hazards during deep coal mining are caused by the failure of a composite system consisting of the rock and coal layers, whereas the joint in coal affects the stability of the composite system. In this paper, the compression test simulations for the rock-coal combined body with single joint in coal were conducted using $PFC^{2D}$ software and especially the effects of joint length and joint angle on strength and failure characteristics in a rock-coal combined body were analyzed. The joint length and joint angle exhibit a deterioration effect on the strength and affect the failure modes. The deterioration effect of joint length of L on the strength can be neglected with a tiny variation at ${\alpha}$ of $0^{\circ}$ or $90^{\circ}$ between the loading direction and joint direction. While, the deterioration effect of L on strength are relatively large at ${\alpha}$ between $30^{\circ}$ and $60^{\circ}$. And the peak stress and peak strain decrease with the increase of L. Additionally, the deterioration effect of ${\alpha}$ on the strength becomes larger with the increase of L. With the increase of ${\alpha}$, the peak stress and peak strain first decrease and then increase, presenting "V-shaped" curves. And the peak stress and peak strain at ${\alpha}$ of $45^{\circ}$ are the smallest. Moreover, the failure mainly occurs within the coal and no apparent failure is observed for rock. At ${\alpha}$ between $30^{\circ}$ and $60^{\circ}$, the secondary shear cracks generated in or close to the joint tips, cause the structural instability failure of the combined body. Therefore, their failure models present as a shear failure along partial joint plane direction and partially cutting across the coal body or a shear failure along the joint plane direction. However, at ${\alpha}$ of $60^{\circ}$ and L of 10 mm, the "V-shaped" shear cracks cutting across the coal body cause its final failure. While crack nucleations at ${\alpha}$ of $0^{\circ}$ or $90^{\circ}$ are randomly distributed in the coal, the failure mode shows a V-shaped shear failure cutting across the coal body.

COEFFICIENT DISCS AND GENERALIZED CENTRAL FUNCTIONS FOR THE CLASS OF CONCAVE SCHLICHT FUNCTIONS

  • We consider functions that map the open unit disc conformally onto the complement of an unbounded convex set with opening angle ${\pi}{\alpha}$, ${\alpha}{\in}(1,2]$, at infinity. We derive the exact interval for the variability of the real Taylor coefficients of these functions and we prove that the corresponding complex Taylor coefficients of such functions are contained in certain discs lying in the right half plane. In addition, we also determine generalized central functions for the aforesaid class of functions.

An NMR Study on Molecular Motions of $\alpha$,2,6-Trichlorotoluene in Solution State

  • Dynamics of $CH_2CI$ group in ${\alpha},2,6$-trichlorotoluene dissolved in $CDCl_3$ was studied by observing various relaxation modes for $^{13}C$ under proton undecoupled condition. Partially relaxed $^{13}C$ spectra were obtained at $34^{\circ}C$ as a function of evolution time after applying various designed pulse sequences to this $AX_2$ spin system. It was found that nonlinear regression analysis of the relaxation data for these magnetization modes could provide the information about dipolar and spin-rotational auto-correlation and cross-correlation spectral densities for fluctuation of the $^{13}C-^1H$ internuclear vector in $CH_2Cl$ group. The results show that the effect of cross-correlation is comparable in magnitude to that of auto-correlation and the relaxation in this spin system is dominated by dipolar mechanism rather than spin-rotational one. From the resulting spectral density data we could calculate the bond angle ${\angle}HCH\;(105.1$^{\circ}$) and elements of the rotational diffusion tensor for $CH_2Cl$ group.

MAGNETIC PROPERTIES OF Co-FERRITE FILMS BY SOLID REACTION AT LOW TEMPERATURE

  • Co-ferrite ($CoO-Fe_{2}O_{3}$) thin films have been prepared by two ways of low temperature solid reaction including oxidation process, being based on $Co-layer/{\alpha}-Fe_{2}O_{3}$ films and $Co-layer/Fe_{3}O_{4}$ films. Magnetic properties of both Co-ferrite films have been measured and compared. The samples from $Co-layer/Fe_{3}O_{4}$ films have a large coercive force in the direction perpendicular and have a great poler kerr rotation angle at wavelength 700 nm than ones from $Co-layer/{\alpha}-Fe_{2}O_{3}$ films. The typical magnetic properties are as follows; saturation magnetization $4{\pi}Ms$, 2.9 kG; remnant magnetization $4{\pi}Mr$, 2.0 kG; coercive force Hc, 4.0 kOe; kerr rotation angle ${\PHI}k$, 0.39 deg($\lambda\;=\;700\;nm$); and initial magnetization energy E, $3.3\;{\times}\;10^6\;erg/\textrm{m}^3$, respectively.

투과전자현미경 조사에 의한 사파이어 $({\alpha}-Al_2O_3)$합성 결정내의 결함특성 분석 (Characterization of Defects in a Synthesized Crystal of Sapphire $({\alpha}-Al_2O_3)$ by TEM)

  • 합성 사파이어 기판 시료-GaN반도체의 성장기판으로 사용된-의 내재하는 결함 형태를 전통적인 투과식 전자현미경 조사기법 (TEM), LACBED, HAADF-STEM 방법으로 관찰 분석하였다. 이 시료에서 주로 발견된 결함들은 두께 ${\sim}2nm$에서 32nm를 가진(0001)면 미소 쌍정(basal microtwins), 모체 결정과의 계면 주위의 변형 결함, (0001)면 전위결함(basal dislocations), 그리고 {$2\bar{1}\bar{1}3$} 피라미드 미끄럼면 중 한 면에서 일어나는 복잡한 형태의 전위 결함들이다 이들(0001)면 및 {$2\bar{1}\bar{1}3$}면에 전위 결함들은 미소 쌍정과 강하게 관련되어 일어나는 것으로 보인다. 또한 전위결함 밀도는 매우 균일하지 않으며 수 ${\mu}m$의 크기의 결함 밀집 영역에서는 그 밀도가 ${\sim}10^{10}/cm^2정도만큼 높지만 시료 전체에서의 평균은 대체적으로 ${\sim}10^5/cm^2보다 작다. 이 값은 보통 합성되는 결정에서 평균적으로 예상되는 수치이다.

탄소섬유강화복합재료의 마식에 관한 연구 (Study on Erosion of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic Composite)

  • 일방향 탄소섬유 강화 복합재료(CFRP)의 고체입자 마식 거동을 다양한 충돌각도 (${\alpha}$), 속도 (V) 및 섬유 방향 (${\beta}$)에 대하여 연구하였다. 실험결과 30o 충돌각도에서 최대 마식률을 나타내었고, 마식률은 멱함수 법칙 $E{\propto}\;V^n$에 따라 충돌속도에 크게 의존하였다. 본 연구에서는 이상의 결과로부터 일방향 탄소섬유 강화 복합재료의 마식률을 충돌속도, 충돌각도 및 섬유방향 각도로부터 예측하는 방법을 제안하였다.

각이 진 평행 홈 펌프 실의 누설량 특성 해석 (Leakage Characteristic of Angled-Circumferential-Groove-Pump Seal with CFD Analysis)

  • In order to improve leakage characteristic, angled-circumferential-groove pump seal is suggested. CFD analysis using FLUENT has been performed to predict leakage and determine an optimum slanted-groove angle $\alpha$ which yields the best leakage reduction. The optimum value of $\alpha$ ranges from $45^{\circ}$ to $60^{\circ}$ and depends on the pressure difference of seal and number of grooves for the same groove geometry. The maximum leakage reduction ratio increases as increasing the pressure difference of angled-circumferential-groove pump seal with the optimum value of $\alpha$.
