ALC(Autoclaved Light-weight Concrete)를 이용한 생물학적 반응벽체에 관한 연구

  • The physical and chemical characteristics of ALC were analyzed and showed 2.2 of specific gravity and 9.05 of pH. The results of leaching tests with standard method for soil and waste indicated heavy metals(Cu, Cd, Pb, $Cr^{6+}$) were under maximum concentration level. The anaerobic digestion sludge was attached in the surface of ALC within 90 hours. As the results of batch test, pH of the ALC and Bio-ALC were decreased from initial pH of ALC to 8.7 and 7.8 respectively Also, the concentration of heavy metals was rapidly eliminated in the solution with the batch test. The result of column experiment indicates that the removal efficiency of ALC was showed 66% of T-P, 60% of T-N, and 67% of CODcr. Also, removal efficiency of Bio-ALC was slightly higher than that of ALC in T-N (64%) and CODcr (74%).

Enzymatic Properties of Intracellular Adenosine Deaminase from Nocardioides sp. J-326TK

  • The properties of purified intracellular adenosine deaminase (adenosine aminohydrolase, EC 3.5.4.4) of Nocardioides sp. J-326TK isolated from soil have been studied. The enzyme deaminated adenosine and 2`-deoxyadenosine and the respective {TEX}$K_{M}${/TEX} values were 4.0×{TEX}$10^{-4}${/TEX} M and 5.0× {TEX}$10^{-4}${/TEX} M, but the enzyme was not active on 8-bromoadenosine, 6-methylaminopurine riboside, ATP, ADP, 2`-AMP, 3`-AMP, 5`-AMP, dAMP, cAMP, NAD, FAD, NADP and adenine. The enzyme activity was strongly inhibited by the addition of {TEX}$Hg^{2+}${/TEX} and {TEX}$Ag^{+}${/TEX}, {TEX}$Cu^{2+}${/TEX}, {TEX}$Co^{2+}${/TEX} and {TEX}$Mn^{2+}${/TEX} also inhibited the activity but much less extent. The effect of alkyl reagents, metal chelating reagents and certain other compounds on the enzyme activity were also examined. No reagent activated the enzyme. On the contrary, the enzyme reaction was slightly inhibited by o-phenanthroline and 6-benzyladenosine.

  • Vibrational micro-forming of pyramidal shape patterns was conducted for an Al superplastic alloy, Al 5083 and a Zr-based bulk metallic glass, $Zr_{62}Cu_{17}Ni_{13}Al_8$. A vibrational micro-forming system was specially designed for generating vibrational load by combining a PZT actuator with a signal generator. Single crystal Si micro dies with wet-etched pyramidal patterns were used as master dies for vibrational micro-forming. The micro-formed pattern height was increasing with increasing the frequency of the vibrational load. In particular, the vibrationally-microformed pattern height was similar or even higher than the statically-microformed pattern height when the load frequency exceeded about 125 kHz. It was also observed that the crystal grains affect the surface quality of the microformed pattern and the distribution of the pattern height in the die cavity array.

  • 금속 씨드 층(seed layer)을 직경 $10{\mu}m$, 깊이 $100{\mu}m$, 고종횡비 10:1 비아에 스퍼터링하였다. 금속 씨드 층의 두께는 스퍼터링 시간, 압력, 및 타겟파워를 변화하여 조절하였다. 금속 씨드층 스퍼터링 후 전기도금에 의해 구리 충전을 시도하였다. 비아의 고종횡비가 증가하면 비아 폭이 좁아져 비아의 하부층과 하단 측면 두께는 비아 상부 측면 두께만큼 충분하지 않아 문제가 될 수 있다. 스퍼터링 조건을 최적화 함으로써 씨드층의 특성을 높이고, 비아 홀 지름의 감소 속도를 줄일 수 있었다. 종래의 스퍼터링 방식을 이용하여 비아 입구의 opening percentage를 약 64%로 하고, 하부 씨드층 두께가 46.7 nm 인 금속 씨드층을 형성할 수 있었다. 이 씨드층 상에 전기도금으로 Cu filling을 성공적으로 할 수 있었다.

  • Imperatorin, 9-[(3-methyl-2-butenyl)oxy]-7H-furo[3,2-g][1]benzopyran-7-one의 분자 및 결정구조를 X-선 회절법으로 연구하였다. 이 결정의 분자식은 C16H14O4, 결정계는 삼사정계이고 공간군은 P이다. 단위포상수는 a=11.818(1) , b=11.906(1) , c=11.059(1) 이며, α=96.32(1)o, β=90.74(1)o, γ=64.88(1)o, V=13.993(2) 3, T=293 K, Z=4이다. 구조해석에 사용한 X-선은 CuKα선(λ=1.5418 )을 사용하였다. 구조는 직접법으로 풀었으며 최소자승법으로 정밀화하였다. 최종 신뢰도 R 값은 F0>4σ(F0)인 3951개의 독립회절데이타로 356개 파라메타에 대해 R=7.02%이다.

  • The cation exchange chromatographic studies for the analysis of transition metals have been described. The quantitative separation of a mixture of Fe(Ⅲ), Cu(II), Zn(II), Ni(II), Cd(II), Co(II) and Mn(II) has been obtained by elution, through a 28cm column of the resin, Dowex 50 ${\times}$ 4 (100∼200 mesh), using 0.45 M $NaNO_3$+0.05 M Na-tartrate solution as eluent, starting with the eluent of pH 3.5, followed stepwise by pH 4.0 and 4.5. A comparison between the calculated and the observed peak positions in the elution curve has been shown. The relative stability constants for tartrate complexes of some transition metals have been calculated by using distribution ratios obtained in this separation procedure.

A Study of Heavy Metal Contents in Shellfished of Various Areas in Jeonbuk (전북 해안 지역별 패류의 중금속 함량)

  • This study was performed to investigate the contamination levels of harmful heavy metals that sampled from June. 1 to June. 31, 1999, at 3 areas in Jeonbuk west cost area. The heavy metal contents were determinated by ICPS (Inductively Coupled Plasma Spectrometer) method. The levels of total lead, cadmium, aluminum, zinc and copper were determined and the results were summarized as follows: The minimum and maximum values (ppm) of 3 areas of shellfishes (shortneck clam, hard clam, cockle clam, snail and top sell) were Pb: 1.29~4.35, Cd:0.12~0.37, Al: 9.45~54.06, Zn: 9.65~15.14, Cu: 0.62~1.64 ppm.

  • Bombesin has a high binding affinity to gastrin-releasing peptide receptor (GRPR) and can be used as a targeting ligand in GRPR-related cancers. Because GRPR is overexpressed in prostate cancer, bombesin analogues have been investigated extensively for diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer. In nuclear medicine, bombesin derivatives labeled with radiometals such as 55/57Co, 64Cu, 68Ga, 99mTc, and 177Lu or radiohalogen such as 131I and 211At were developed as markers for early detection of tumors and theragnostic tool for cancer treatment. This review focuses on the introduction of bombesin-based radiopharmaceuticals that are studied in pre-clinical or clinical research.

The State of Marine Pollution in the Waters adjacent to Shipyards in Korea - 2. Assessment of the Pollution of Heavy Metals in Seawater around Major Shipyards in Summer 2010 (국내 조선소 주변해역의 해양오염 현황 - 2. 2010년 하계 대형조선소 주변 해수의 중금속오염 평가)

  • In order to elucidate the current state of marine pollution of heavy metals around major shipyards in Korea, seawater samples were collected at eleven sampling stations and four control stations around 4 major shipyards located in the southeastern coast of Korea in summer 2010, and 6 kinds of metals such as copper(Cu), zinc(Zn), iron(Fe), cadmium(Cd), lead(Pb) and mercury(Hg) in seawater samples were analyzed. The analyses of heavy metals in seawater showed that the mean Cu concentrations in seawater around 4 major shipyards were in the range of $0.817{\sim}1.638{\mu}g/L$ which were lower than Korean environmental standards of $20{\mu}g/L$ for the protection of human health(PHH) and of $3{\mu}g/L$ for short-term protection of marine ecosystem(SPME) but higher than Cu concentration at control station by a factor of up to 2.75. The mean Zn concentrations were in the range of $0.228{\sim}0.567{\mu}g/L$ which were lower than Korean environmental standards of $100{\mu}g/L$ for PHH and $34{\mu}g/L$ for SPME but higher than Zn concentration at control station by a factor of up to 5.91. The mean Fe concentrations were in the range of $3.332{\sim}7.410{\mu}g/L$ which were higher than Fe concentration at control station by a factor of up to 6.75. The mean Cd concentrations were in the range of $0.013{\sim}0.028{\mu}g/L$ which were lower than Korean environmental standards of $10{\mu}g/L$ for PHH and $19{\mu}g/L$ for SPME but higher than Cd concentration at control station by a factor of up to 2.33. The mean Pb concentrations were in the range of $0.007{\sim}0.126{\mu}g/L$ which were lower than Korean environmental standards of $50{\mu}g/L$ for PHH and $7.6{\mu}g/L$ for SPME. The mean Hg concentrations were in the range of $0.002{\sim}0.004{\mu}g/L$ which were lower than Korean environmental standards of $0.5{\mu}g/L$ for PHH and $1.8{\mu}g/L$ for SPME. Although the concentrations of metals such as Cu, Zn and Fe which were used in shipbuilding works were lower than Korean environmental standards for PHH and SPME, the fact that the concentrations of Cu, Zn and Fe at sampling stations around major shipyards were higher than those at control stations implies that the works in shipyards had some effects on marine water quality around shipyards. Therefore, marine environment management such as the prevention and control of the discharge of various pollutants from shipyards is required on national level.
