혐기-호기 활성슬러지법에 의한 유량변동이 있는 폐수의 N-P 동시 제거에 관한 연구(I) (Simultaneous N-P Removal of Wastewater with Flow Variation by Anaerobic-Aerobic Activated Sludge Process(I))

  • The treatment performances of anaerobic-aerobic activated sludge process were investigated under various operation conditions. The treatment system proposed in this study gave a relatively stable performance against hourly change of the flow rate and showed a satisfactory removal of nitrogen and phosphorus compounds under experimental conditions. The recycle ratio of mixed liquor from aerobic to anaerobic region and peak coefficient primarily controlled the extent of nitrogen removal. The recycle ratio had the optimum values which were determined by the microbial activities of nitrification and denitrification. The behavior of the treatment unit could be simulated by using the kinetic equations and reactor models which considered the treatment units as complete mixing tanks.

베타아밀로이드 영상용 프로브 ([ ${\beta}-Amyloid$ ] Imaging Probes)

  • Imaging distribution of ${\beta}-amyloid$ plaques in Alzheimer's disease is very important for early and accurate diagnosis. Early trial of the ${\beta}-amyloid$ plaques includes using radiolabeled peptides which can be only applied for peripheral ${\beta}-amyloid$ plaques due to limited penetration through the blood brain barrier (BBB). Congo red or Chrysamine G derivatives were labeled with Tc-99m for imaging ${\beta}-amyloid$ plaques of Alzheimer patient's brain without success due to problem with BBB penetration. Thioflavin T derivatives gave breakthrough for ${\beta}-amyloid$ imaging in vivo, and a benzothiazole derivative [C-11]6-OH-BTA-1 brought a great success. Many other benzothiazole, benzoxazole, benzofuran, imidazopyridine, and styrylbenzene derivatives have been labeled with F-18 and I-123 to improve the imaging quality. However, [C-11]6-OH-BTA-1 still remains as the best. However, short half-life of C-11 is a limitation of wide distribution of this agent. So, it is still required to develop an Tc-99m, F-18 or I-123 labeled agent for ${\beta}-amyloid$ imaging agent.

An Interface Module for Dehumidify Dryer in a Injection Molding Smart Factory System

  • When the injection molding system molds some plastic products, defective product rate will be increased if plastic materials have some excessive moisture content. Therefore, it is very important to control the dehumidification and drying of plastic material. Since the moisture content of the plastic material may change from time to time depending on the material and the molding process, it is necessary to observe the change in real time and maintain a constant moisture content. To solve these problems, I proposed a smart factory system model for plastic molding in this paper. In addition, I designed the interface module to be installed in the dehumidifying dryer which is the core of this process. In addition to this, performance tests were conducted to check the effectiveness and the results were verified as valid.

리포솜 봉입이 로다민 123의 소장 흡수에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Liposome Encapsulation on Intestinal Absorption of Rhodamine 123)

  • The absorption of a P-gp substrate, rhodamine 123, from a liposomal dosage form was investigated across Caco-2 cell monolayers, rat intestines and rat intestinal Peyer's patches in Ussing chamber, Rhodamine 123 was incorporated into liposomes according to the standard evaporation method, which led to a production of liposomes with a mean diameter of 71.3 nm. The permeability (Papp of rhodamine 123 from a water solution across the monolayer was $2.45{\times}10^{-6}$ cm/s for $A{\leftrightarrow}B$ (apical to basal) and $14.0{\times}10^{-6}$ cm/s for $B{\leftrightarrow}A$ (basal to apical) directions, consistent with the fact that rhodamine 123 is one of the P-gp substrates. The transport of rhodamine 123 from the liposomal dosage form was much lower for both directions compared to the solution of rhodamine 123. The transport of rhodamine 123 across the rat intestine was also significantly decreased for both directions, I.e., influx and efflux, by the liposomal incorporation of the compound. The transport of rhodamine 123 across the Peyer's patch was substantially reduced by liposomal incorporation. No difference was found in the transport between the Peyer's patch and non-Peyer's patch. These observations suggest that the contribution of transport via Peyer's patches in the uptake of liposomes may be minimal, especially for rapidly absorbed compounds like rhodamine 123. Therefore, the increased absorption of P-gp substrates does not appear to be feasible by incorporating the compounds in liposomes, due to negligible involvement of Peyer's patches in the uptake of particulate dosage forms like liposomes. Liposomes may rather represent a sustained release dosage form of incorporated compounds.

Methamphetamine 남용자에서 I-123 IPT를 이용한 기저신경절 도파민운반체 밀도의 평가 (Dopamine Transporter Density of the Basal Ganglia Assessed with I-123 IPT SPECT in Methamphetamine Abusers)

  • 목적: 도파민운반체의 기능적 영상술은 도파민 신경계의 시냅스전 신경말단의 상태를 나타내 줄 수 있어, 기저신경절을 침범하는 파킨슨 병 등의 진단 및 중증도 판단에 이용될 수 있으며, 도파민운반체가 코카인이나 methamphetamine 등 의존성 약물의 목표 부위이므로 이러한 약물의 남용자의 평가에 이용될 수 있다. 본 연구는 한국에서 생산된 도파민운반체 영상용 방사성의약품을 사용한 뇌 SPECT영상을 이용하여 methamphetamine 남용자에서 나타나는 소견과 이의 임상적 의의를 알아보고자 하였다. 대상 및 방법: Methamphetamine 남용자 6명 (남용자군, 전부 남자, 평균연령: $32{\pm}6.8$) 및 정상대조군 4명(대조군, 남:여=3:1, 평균연령=$44.0{\pm}14.7$세)을 대상으로 하였다. 남용자군 6명 모두에서 뇌 MRI가 시행되었다. 남용자군에서는 정신과적 증상과 우울증 증상을 정량적으로 평가하였다. 도파민운반체 영상은 I-123 IPT 185 MBq을 정맥 주사한 후 2시간에 삼중헤드 감마카메라(Prism 3000, Picker, USA)를 이용하여 뇌 SPECT 영상을 얻었다. 정성적인 판독과 함께, 정량적 분석으로 기저신경절 부위에 관심영역을 그려 기저신경절의 방사능량을 구하였고, 배후 방사능량은 후두엽 부위에 관심영역을 그려 방사능량을 구하였다. 기저신경절과 배후 방사능량을 이용하여 기저신경절 도파민운반체 특이결합/비특이결합 비율(특이결합비) (기저신경절방사능량-배후방사능량/배후방사능량)을 구하였다. 각군의 도파민운반체 특이겹합비를 비교하였으며, 남용자군에서는 정신과적 증상(Brief Psychiatric Rating Scale: BPRS) 및 우울증 증상 정도(Hamilton Depression Rrating Scale : HAMD)와 도파민운반체 특이겹합비의 상관성을 알아보았다. 결과: 남용자군 6명 모두는 뇌 MRI상 특이 소견이 관찰되지 않았으나, 모든 환자는 정신과적 증상과 우울증 증상을 나타내었으며 BPRS 점수와 HAMD 점수는 서로 밀접한 상관성을 보여 주었다(r=1.0, p=0.005). 남용자군의 I-123 IPT 뇌 SPECT의 정성적분석에서 5명(83.3%)이 기저신경절의 전체적 섭취가 불균등하고 미측의 섭취가 감소되어 비정상으로 판독 되었으며, 1명은 정상으로 판독되었다. 남용자군은 대조군에 비하여 낮은 기저신경절 도파민운반체 특이겹합비를 나타내었다($2.38{\pm}0.20\;vs\;3.04{\pm}0.27$, p=0.000) 남용자군의 BPRS 점수와 HAMD 점수가 높을수록 낮은 기저신경절 특이겹합비를 나타내어 역의 상관관계를 보였다(r=-0.908, p=0.012, r=-0.924, p=0.009). 결론: I-123 IPT뇌 SPECT는 흑질-선조체 도파민신경계의 손상을 일으키는 중증의 methamphetamine 남용자의 평가에 이용될 수 있다고 생각된다.

동해 후포주변 사질조하대에 서식하는 대형저서동물군집의 분포특성 (Distribution Patterns of Sandy Bottom Macrobenthic Community on the Hupo Coastal Area, in the East Sea of Korea)

  • Distribution patterns of sandy bottom macrobenthic communities were studied around the Hupo coastal area. The seasonal surveys were conducted at 15 chosen sites within a depth range of 10 to 50 m along 10 km of the coastline using a Smith-McIntyre grab $(0.05\;m^2)$ in 2005. Overall depth distribution following the direction of the offshore become deeper parallel to the coastline. A total of 319 macrobenthic species were sampled with a mean density of $1,972\;ind./m^2$, and mean biomass was 82.5 wet-weight $g/m^2$. The major individual-dominant species were three polychaetes Spiophanes bombyx ($436\;ind./m^2$), Scoletoma longifolia ($250\;ind./m^2$) and Magelona japonica ($170\;ind./m^2$), and bivalve Adontorhina subquadrata ($73\;ind./m^2$). Cluster analysis and non-metric multidimensional scaling (nMDS) analysis based on Bray-Curtis similarity identified 2 major station groups which corresponded to macrobenthic faunal assemblages and their characteristic species. In addition, environmental conditions were significantly different between station groups. Group I contained mostly 20 and 50 m deep sites and was associated with sandy mud. Group I was characterized by high abundance of S. bombyx, S. longifolia, A. subquadrata. It was divided into two sub-groups (I-I and I-II) in relation to depth. Sub-group I-I was associated with deeper sites than sub-group I-II. Group II included mostly inshore area shallower than 15 m and was associated with coarse and medium sand. Group II was characterized by Lumbrinerides hayashii and Urothoe grimaldii japonica.
