  • In this paper, we consider the fuzzy differential equations (equation omitted) where F(t, x(t)) is a continuous fuzzy mapping on [0, $\infty$) ${\times}$ E$\^$n/. The purpose of this paper is to prove that the solution ${\Phi}$(t) of the fuzzy differential equations is equiasymptotically stable in the large and uniformly asymptotically stable in the large.

  • This study was carried out to estimate structural stabilities in respect of ground footings of plastic greenhouses on reclaimed lands. A 6m-wide multi-span plastic greenhouse with steel spiral piles as well as two 8.2m-wide single-span greenhouses with steel spiral piles and continuous pipe foundation respectively were built up on a reclaimed land with a SPT N-Value of 2 and measured how much the greenhouses were lifted up and subsided. In addition, the uplift capacity of three kinds of spiral piles(${\phi}50$, ${\phi}75$ and ${\phi}100$) was determined on a nearby reclaimed land. The results showed that the greenhouses with spiral piles had a slight vertical displacement like moving up and down but the scales of the rising up and sinking were negligible when compared to that of the greenhouses. The vertical displacement of the multi-span greenhouse ranged from +9.0mm(uplift) to -11.5mm(subsidence). As for the single-span greenhouses with spiral piles and continuous pipe foundation, the measurements showed that it varied from +1.3mm to -7.7mm and from +0.9mm to -11.2mm, respectively. The allowable uplift capacity of spiral piles could all be determined under criteria of ultimate load and accordingly had a value of 0.40kN, 1.0kN and 2.5kN, respectively. It was not entirely certain enough to make a final judgement on structural stabilities in respect of ground footings, it appeared likely however that the greenhouses with steel spiral piles was tentatively observed without any problems on reclaimed lands within the period.

  • This paper, which is one of the researches to limit high fault-current, treats the application of an inductive High Tc Superconducting Fault Current Limiter(HTSFCL) to distribution systems. In case that the inductive HTSFCL is applied to distribution systems, this paper presented the usefulness and the commercial possibility of it through computer simulation. If the inductive HTSFCL is established in distribution systems, after fault, it limits fault current effectively within a few millisecond, so it contributes to stability of power distribution system. Especially as the system with the HTSFCL is compared with the system without it, the system is improved in stability.

  • Standard thin disk theory predicts that an inner disk region dominated by radiation pressure is thermally unstable. However, this kind of instability isn't detected in the observations of X-ray binaries. In this work, we revisit this issue by investigating the stability of a thin disk with magnetically driven winds. It is found that the disk winds can help to make a thin disk stable by taking away most of the energy released in the disk, resulting in a much cooler disk. The disk can always be stable even for a very weak initial field strength ${\beta}_{p,0}{\leq}400$ when ${\alpha}=0.05$ and $B{\phi}=10B_p$ are adopted.

  • This paper deals with the design and development of an Injection-Locking Coupled Oscillators(ILCO), which functions like phase-shifter in the Active Intergrated Phased Array Antenna(AIPAA). This linear array 2-element ILCO consists of two Injection Locking Hair-pin Resonator Oscillators(ILHRO) and an unilateral amplifier. The first and second elements of the ILCO have same frequency tuning range but locking bandwidths of 11.5MHz and 14MHz respectively. A phase shift of .DELTA..PHI.=158.4.deg.(-78.0.deg. to 80.4.deg.) could be obtained inthe second element of ILCO when the first elementof the ILCO was in the reference locking mode(.DELTA..PHI.=0.deg.). When the ILCO is applied to the AIPAA, the predicted beam scanning angle value will be 38.4.deg.. Each ILCO gives good frequency stability and lower AM, FM, and PM noise charactheristics in the mutual coupling lockingmode. The ILCO can not only play a part as the phase shifter for the AIPAA but it can also be usedas the power combining device in the mm-wave frequency range and as a part of a T/R MMIC module.

  • Purpose: The aim of this retrospective study was to evaluate the influence of implant diameter, length and placement to implant stability. Materials and methods: Total 90 implants (US II plus$^{TM}$, Osstem co, Busan, Korea) of 72 patients were determined as experimental samples. The factors of diameters(${\phi}$ 4 mm, ${\phi}$ 5 mm), lengths (10 mm, 11.5 mm, 13 mm), and implant placement (maxilla, mandible) were analyzed. The stability of the implants was measured by resonance frequency analysis (RFA) at the time of implant placement and impression taking. The difference of ISQ values according to patient's gender was evaluated by Independent t-test. ISQ values were compared between implant diameter, length and placement using one-way ANOVA and Tukey HSD test (${\alpha}=.05$). To compare ISQ values between at the time of surgery and impression taking, paired t-tests were used (${\alpha}=.05$). Results: The change of implant length did not show significant different on the ISQ value (P>.05). However, 5 mm diameter implants had higher ISQ values than 4 mm diameter implants (P<.05). Implants placed on the mandible showed significantly higher ISQ values than on the maxilla (P<.05). Conclusion: In order to increase implant stability, it is better to select the wider implant, and implants placed on mandible are possible to get higher stability than maxilla. ISQ values at impression taking showed higher implant stability than ISQ values at implant placement, it means that RFA is clinically effective method to evaluate the change of implant stability through the osseointegration. The consideration of the factors which may affect to the implant stability will help to determine the time of load applying and increase the implant success rate.

  • Stability of inside power equipments are required for electron equipment in order to operate those safely. Also, the power circuits for these have been developing, but research of dielectric strength of power supply is insufficient. In this paper, for test insulation condition variation by void it is tested insulation characteristics variation, using $\phi-q-n$ distribution variation in partial discharge test.

  • Alnico magnets can be used as magnetic bearings for the precise electric power measuring instruments such as watt-hour meters because they have high remanence ($B_r$), relatively high maximum energy product ($(BH)_{max}$), and excellent temperature stability. In this study, Alnico composite magnets were fabricated by appropriately mixing alnico alloy powders with epoxy resin and binder. The Alnico powders mixed with epoxy resin and a hardening agent with a mixing ratio of 96:4 were pressed and then cured to be a toroid-type ring magnet with an outer diameter (${\Phi}_{out}$) of 15 mm, an inner diameter (${\Phi}_{in}$) of 6.5 mm and a thickness (t) of 2.5 mm, respectively. The magnetic properties of the Alnico ring magnets were varied with the mixing ratio of Alnico powders that possess different average particle sizes. The Alnico ring magnet prepared by mixing 5 wt% of $50{\mu}m$ (small size) powder, 15~20 wt% of $150{\mu}m$ (medium size) powder, and 75~80 wt% of $300{\mu}m$ (large size) powder showed the best magnetic properties (remanent induction, coercive force, maximum energy product, and surface flux density). In addition, measurements of temperature and moisture characteristics for the Alnico ring magnets showed that the surface flux densities of the N and S poles decreased little and the repulsive distance between the magnets decreased as small as 0.05 mm after 10 days.

  • We investigated the sintering and electric properties of ZnO-1.0 at% $TeO_2$ (ZT1) and 1.0 at% Mn-doped ZT1(ZT1M1) system. $TeO_2$ itself melts at $732^{\circ}C$ in air but forms the $ZnTeO_3$ or $Zn_2Te_3O_8$ phase with ZnO as increasing temperature and therefore retards the densification of ZnO to $1000^{\circ}C$. In ZT1M1 system, also, the densification of ZnO was retarded up to $1000^{\circ}C$ and then reached > 90% of theoretical density above $1100^{\circ}C$. It was found that a good varistor characteristics(nonlinear coefficient $a{\sim}60$) were developed in ZT1M1 system sintered at $1100^{\circ}C$ due to Mn which known as improving the nonlinearity of ZnO varistors. The results of C-V characteristics such as barrier height (${\Phi}_b$), donor density ($N_D$), depletion layer (W), and interface state density ($N_t$) in ZT1M1 ceramics were $1.8{\times}10^{17}cm^{-3}$, 1.6 V, 93 nm, and $1.7{\times}10^{12}cm^{-2}$, respectively. Also we measured the resistance and capacitance of grain boundaries with temperature using impedance and electric modulus spectroscopy. It will be discussed about the stability and homogeneity of grain boundaries using distribution parameter ($\alpha$) simulated with the Z(T)"-logf plots.

  • The structures and energies of the anhydrate and hydrate (hydrate rate: h of 1) states of L-alanine (LA) and glycine (G) were calculated by quantum chemical calculations (QCCs) using B3LYP/6-31G(d,p) for four types of conformers (${\beta}$-extended: ${\Phi}/{\Psi}=t-/t+$, $PP_{II}$: g-/t+, $PP_{II}$-like: g-/g+, and ${\alpha}$-helix: g-/g-). In LA and G, which have an imino proton (NH), three conformation types of ${\beta}$-extended, $PP_{II}$-like, and ${\alpha}$-helix were obtained, and water molecules were inserted mainly between the intra-molecular hydrogen bond of $CO{\cdots}HN$ in $PP_{II}$-like and ${\alpha}$-helix, and attached to the CO group in ${\beta}$-extended. In LA and G, $PP_{II}$-like conformers were most stable in the anhydrate and hydrate states, and the result for LA was different from some experimental and theoretical results from other studies reporting that the main stable conformation of alanine oligopeptide was $PP_{II}$. The formation pattern and stability of the conformation of the oligopeptide was strongly dominated by the presence/absence of intra-molecular hydrogen bonding of $CO{\cdots}HN$, or the presence/absence of an $NH_2$ group in the starting amino acid.
