Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the causal relationship among women's sport participation variables, self-esteem, and subjective well-being. The theorectical model of sport participation and subjective well-being is constructed. The exogenous variables are sport participation and A/B type, social support of women. The endogenous variables are health state, self-esteem, and subjective well-being. The total of 489 women subjects were participate from KyungGi province. The results obtained from this study were as follows; 1. In the descriptive analysis, the women who are aged between 21 and 29 years old showed lower social support, health state, self-esteem and subjective well-being than the other age groups. The women who participated in jogging showed lower social support, health state, self-esteem and subjective well-being than the other exercise groups. 2. Theoretical model proposed in this study turned out to be significant because GFI, and AGFI are greater than 0.90. 3. In the path analysis(using the LISREL technique), there are significant relationships between the exogenous variables and the endogenous variables. There are also significant relationship between the endogenous and the endogenous variables.
