A Study on Life of Battered Women Who Decided to Divorce : Focus on Psychodrama and Photovoice

Abstract
This study is to explore the meaning and essence of battered women's experiences. 8 women participated psychodrama of 6 sessions and photovoice of 2 sessions, who resided in the domestic violence shelter at A city between April and July 2014. In-depth interview was made and data were analyzed by Colaizzi's phenomenological method. 3 categories and 6 theme clusters were identified such as 'feeling the same as the ship that was lost in direction', 'painstaking to forget the unhappy marriage life', 'way to go, even fearful, is to divorce'. There is a need for them to regain their psychological and social stabilities once they decide to divorce from the help of anger control program and the institutional policy to reinforce the vocational training.
