Factors Influencing Sexual Assertiveness of Women College Students

Abstract
The purpose of this study was conducted to investigate the factors influencing sexual assertiveness of women college students for providing the basic data to develop sexual education program. The data were collected from 265 women college students in B city from April 2 to 18, 2014 and analyzed with t-test and multiple regression by using SPSS 21.0 program. The significant factors of sexual assertiveness were intercourse experience (${\beta}=.179$, p=.001), gender role stereotypes (${\beta}=-.302$, p<.001), sexual double standard (${\beta}=-.118$, p=.043), self-assertiveness (${\beta}=.218$, p<.001). And these factors explained 26.1% of the variance in sexual assertiveness. In conclusion, the results from this study indicated a need to develop the effective sexual education program considering these influencing factors for women college students.
