Condition of Storage and Growth Characteristics on Bulb Propagation of Nerine by Tissue Culture

Nerine was originated from South Africa and around 30 kinds of species are distributed in worldwide. In present study we have characterized the division methods and growing conditions for the bulb propagation of Nerine. Result indicated that new bulb formation, and growth of N. bowdenii cultivars was better after dormancy stage compared to post-harvest and dormancy stages, under twin-scale method at $20^{\circ}C$ Similarly, new bulb tissue density was higher at $20^{\circ}C$ compared to other temperatures. Moreover, N. bowdenii 'Favourite' exhibited better growth than N. bowdenii 'Stepanii' and vermiculite was found to be most suitable growing medium for Nerine bulb propagation.

네리네 대량증식을 위한 분구방법 및 생육조건

모구로부터 단기간 내에 대량의 자구를 생산할 수 있는 분구법의 최적조건으로 분구시기, 온도, 식재용토 등을 설정하고자 본 연구를 수행하였다. 모구를 twin-scale법으로 $20^{\circ}C$에 처리했을 때 최적 분구시기는 휴면각성기로 자구형성 및 생육상황이 수확기, 휴면기에 비해 우수하였다. 특히 품종 중에서도 Nerine bowdenii 'Stepani' 보다는 N. bowdenii 'Favourite' 품종의 자구 형성률이 80.3%로 수확기의 46.7%, 휴면기의 61.4%에 비해 훨씬 높았고, 형성 자구수도 구당 30.6개로 수확기 모구 사용에 비해 20.1개 이상의 자구 생산이 가능하였다. 또한 분구처리 적정 온도는 $20^{\circ}C$로 N. bowdenii 'Favorite'에서 80.3%의 자구형성률과 30.6개의 자구수로 $15^{\circ}C$의 64.5%, 23.1개에 비해 15.8%이상 높았으며, 조직 치밀도 역시 저온보다는 $20^{\circ}C$에서 충실한 자구로 발육하였다. 분구시 구근 식재용토는 버미큐라이트가 선발되었다. 버미큐라이는 자구생성 및 생육상황이 다른 용토에 비해 우수하였고, 자구가 구당 39.4개 형성되어 관행 피트모스 처리에 비하여 37% 증가하였으며, 자구중을 비롯한 생육상황이 전반적으로 양호하였다.
