A Study on Indoor Location Estimation using RSSI of Low Power Tag in RFID/USN Environments

Abstract
In this paper, a tag was implemented by using low power algorithm and then the distance was estimated from the RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indicator) of the tag using simple algorithm. The power control algorithm is based on the dynamic prediction method that estimates the arrival time of incoming packet at the receiver. This algorithm ensures minimum receiving state which means minimum power consumption for both transmitter and receiver. Location estimation system can be completed if we link fixed node which was set along the path of floors. Because we already have the location information of fixed node, we can estimate location of moving node if we know relative location of two fixed nodes.
