The Distribution and Standing Crop of Phytoplankton of Lagoons in the East Coast of Korea

The distribution and standing crop of phytoplankton were investigated at 12 stations of Songjiho, Ssangho, Maeho and Hyangho as of four lagoons in the east coast from May to November, 2001. It turned out to be total of 164 taxa, and classified as four phylums, four classes, 14 orders, 20 families, 59 genera, 139 species, 22 varieties, two forms and 1 unidentified species by Engler's classification system. Among 104 taxa, 16 taxa including Oscillatoria chlorina were identified as indicators of water pollution and only Cocconeis placentula was the indicator of the clean water. Standing crops of all stations investigated appeared to be relatively high values. Based on the present study upon the distribution and standing crop of phytoplankton, it is regarded as the state of the eutrophication in Songjiho, Ssangho, Maeho and Hyangho as of four lagoons in the east coast.

동해안 석호의 식물플랑크톤 분포와 현존량

송지호, 쌍호, 매호, 향호 등 4개의 호소로부터 총 12개의 채집 정점을 선정하여 2001년 5월, 8월 그리고 11월 등 3회에 걸쳐서 식물플랑크톤의 종분포와 현존량을 조사하였다. 본 조사수역으로부터 출현한 식물플랑크톤의 종분포는 Engler의 분류체계에 따라 정리한 결과 총164 분류군이 출현하였으며, 이는 4문 4강 14목 26과 59속 139종 22변종 2품종 1미동정종으로 분류되었다. 이를 문별로 살펴보면 남조식물문이 31종 2변종으로 33분류군이 출현하였고,황갈조식물문의 규조강이 84종 16변종으로 총 100분류군이 출현하였다. 또한 유글레나식물문은 6종 1변종으로 7 분류군이 출현하였으며, 녹조식물문은 18종 3변종 2품종 1미동정종으로 총 24 분류군이 출현하였다. 각 정점의 우점종은 synedra fasciculata, Nitzschia amphibia, Cyclotella comta, Oscillatoria planctonica 등 5종의 규조류와 3종의 남조류로 나타났다. 아우점종은 Trachelomonas cervicula와 Spirogyra sp.를 제외하면 Nitzschia obtusa를 비롯하여 대부분이 규조류로 나타났다. 현존량은 조사된 4개의 석호에서 비교적 높은 값을 나타냈다. 본 연구수역에서 출현한 종 중 Oscillatoria chlorina등 16분류군이 오염수역에 분포하는 종으로 나타났다. 또한 청정수역에 분포하는 종으로는 Cocconeis placentula 1분류군이 출현하였다. 출현종 중 Microcystis nos-aquae 등 4종은 비릿한 냄새를 내서 악취를 낼 수 있는 종류들이다. 식물플랑크톤의 종분포와 현존량을 통하여 볼 때 조사 수역은 오염수역에 분포종이 다수 분포하며, 높은 현존량을 나타냄으로써 모두 부영양화된 수역으로 판단된다.
