Abstract
Abstract: Nano-sized and homogeneously distributed TiOs-ZO, -40, -60wt% SrO composite powders were successfullysynthesized by a sol-gel method. The as-received amorphous Ti02-20wt% SrO composite powders were crystallized withanatase TiO; at around 750"C. As calcination temperatures increased, the anatase TiO; crystalline phase was transformed torutile TiO; at about 900"C, whereas nano-sized, squarish SrTi03 Phase was detected. The peaks obtained after calcining at1,050"C mainly exhibited the mtile TiO; and SrTiO? Phases. However, a small number of SrO; Peaks were also detected. Forthe comparison of photocatalytic activity depending on light sources, TiOU-SrO composite powders were tested in phenoldegradation. Ti02-60wt%Sr0 composite powder showed good visible light photoactivity for the photo-oxidation of phenol.(Received january 25, 2007)
