Aim & Scope

JIIS endeavors to promote research on artificial intelligence and business. The journal has aimed to exchange scientific and technological achievements by enhancing relevant research and journal readership. It seeks and focuses upon novel and original management techniques and the applications of information technology solutions that are designed to address complex problems prevalent in enterprise and industry.     본 연구에서 퍼지인식도(Fuzzy Cognitive Map) 개념을 기초로 하여 (1) 특정 문제영역에 대한 전문가의 인과관계 지식(causal knowledge)을 추출하는 알고리즘을 제시하고, (2) 이 알고리즘에 기초하여 작성된 해당 문제영역에 대한 여러 전문가들의 인과관계 지식을 계층별로 분해하여, (3) 해당 계층간의 양방향 추론이 가능한 추론메카니즘을 제시하고자 한다. 특정 문제영역에 있어서의 인과관계 지식이란 해당 문제를 구성하는 여러 개념간에 존재하는 인과관계를 표현한 지식을 의미한다. 이러한 인과관계 지식은 기존의 IF-THEN 형태의 규칙과는 달리 행렬형태로 표현되기 때문에 수학적인 연산이 가능하다. 특정 문제영역에 대한 전문가의 인과관계 지식을 추출하는 알고리즘은 집합연산에 의거하여 개발되었으며, 특히 상반된 의견을 보이는 전문가들의 의견을 통합하여 하나의 통합된 인과관계 지식베이스를 구축하는데 유용하다. 그러나, 주어진 문제가 복잡하여 다양한 개념들이 수반되면, 자연히 인과관계 지식베이스의 규모도 커지게 되므로 이를 다루는데 비효율성이 개재되기 마련이다. 따라서 이러한 비효율성을 해소하기 위하여 주어진 문제를 여러계측(Hierarchy)으로 분해하여, 해당 계층별로 인과관계 지식베이스를 구축하고 각 계층별 인과관계 지식베이스를 연결하여 추론하는 메카니즘을 개발하면 효과적인 추론이 가능하다. 이러한 계층별 분해는 행렬의 분해와 같은 개념으로도 이해될 수 있다는 특징이 있어 그 연산이 간단명료하다는 장점이 있다. 이와같이 분해된 인과관계 지식베이스는 계층간의 추론메카니즘을 통하여 서로 연결된다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 상향 또는 하향방식이 추론이 가능한 양방향 추론방식을 제시하여 주식시장에서의 투자분석 문제에 적용하여 그 효율성을 검증하였다.

    본 논문에서는 규칙기반 지식표현에서 퍼지값과 확신도를 사용할 때 발생하는 문제점을 살펴본다. 이들 문제점 해결을 위해서 규칙의 매칭시에 발생하는 퍼지매칭, 퍼지비교, 구간내의 포함에 대한 만족정돌르 평가하는 척도를 제안하다. 또한, 퍼지값과 확신도를 사용하는 규칙기반 지식표현에 대해 적용가능한 추론방법을 소개한다. 한편, 일반규칙과 퍼지생성규칙을 전문가시스템에서 동시에 융통성있게 사용하는 방법을 제시한다. 끝으로 제안된 방법들을 고려하여 설계한 퍼지 전문가시스템 개발도구인 FOPS5에 대하여 소개한다.

    Dynamic and explicit ordering of strategies is a key process in modeling knowledge-level problem-solving behavior. This paper addressed the important problem of howl to make the scheduler more knowledge-intensive in a way that facilitates the acquisition, integration, and maintenance of the scheduler control knowledge. The solution a, pp.oach described in this paper involved formulating the scheduler task as a heuristic classification problem, and then implementing it as a classification expert system. By doing this, the wide spectrum of known methods of acquiring, refining, and maintaining the knowledge of a classification expert system are a, pp.icable to the scheduler control knowledge. One important innovation of this research is that of recursive heuristic classification : this paper demonstrates that it is possible to formulate and solve a key subcomponent of heuristic classification as heuristic classification problem. Another key innovation is the creation of a method of dynamic heuristic classification : the classification alternatives that are selected among are dynamically generated in real-time and then evidence is gathered for and aginst these alternatives. In contrast, the normal model of heuristic classification is that of structured selection between a set of preenumerated fixed alternatives.

    전문가시스템이 등장한지도 근 20년이 흘렀고 다양한 분야에서 기업의 중추적 시스템으로 운영되고 있다. 이렇게 전문가시스템이 연구단계에서 벗어나 실용화됨에 따라 전문가시스템의 개발방법에 대한 연구가 학계가 산업계가 새로운 연구과제로 인식되고 있다. 지금까지 개발에 대한 연구는 주로 지식획득 기술의 개발에 치중되어있다. 본 논문에서는 전문가시스템의 개발에 대한 방법론적 접근방법이 제시된다. 이 접근벙법은 시간과 인력 등 자원의 제약을 받는 전문가시스템 개발프로젝트에 적합한 것으로 동시공학(Concurrent Engineering)개념을 채택하고 있으며 개발 라이프사이클 모델, 프로젝트팀 구성방법등을 다루고 있다. 또한, 동시공학적 접근방법을 지원하기 위한 분석과 설계방법으로는 객체지향기술을 사용하며 개발단계별로 해당 모델이 산출물로 구축된다.

    This paper compared four knowledge acquisition methods (namely, neural network, case-based reasoning, discriminant analysis, and covariance structure modeling) for allergic rhinitis. The data were collected from 444 patients with suspected allergic rhinitis who visited the Otorlaryngology Deduring 1991-1993. Among four knowledge acquisition methods, the discriminant model had the best overall diagnostic capability (78%) and the neural network had slightly lower rate(76%). This may be explained by the fact that neural network is essentially non-linear discriminant model. The discriminant model was also most accurate in predicting allergic rhinitis (88%). On the other hand, the CSM had the lowest overall accuracy rate (44%) perhaps due to smaller input data set. However, it was most accuate in predicting non-allergic rhinitis (82%).

    전통적으로 스케줄링 문제를 해결하기 위해 LP(Linear Programming) 기법이 주로 적용되어 왔으나, 스케줄링 문제의 많은 자원과 지식, 제약조건의 복잡한 상관 관계를 LPrl법으로 표현하고 처리하기가 쉽지 않다. 따라서 최근에는 AI 기법을 스케줄링 문제에 많이 적용하고 있고, AI 기법은 지식 표현 및 휴리스틱을 다루기에 효과적이므로 문제를 모델링하고 해결하는데 용이하다 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 AI 기법을 기반으로 하여 스케줄링에 적합한 휴리스틱 및, 탐색기법, 지식표현 방법등을 연구하고, 이를 바탕으로 코스 스케줄링 시스템을 구현하였다. 먼저 시스템은 전체적으로 메타프로그래밍을 통하여 초기 스케줄링(initial scheduling)과 동적스케줄링 (reactive scheduling)을 수행하도록 하였다. 메타프로그램이 초기 스케줄링을 수행할때에는 휴리스틱과 자체적인 도메인 여과기법을 적용하여 탐색 공간의 불일치 요소(inconsistency)를 제거시킴으로써 백트랙킹의 발생을 최소화시켰다. 또한 초기 스케줄링의 결과를 가지고 메타프로그래밍이 동적 재스케줄링을 수행할때에는 제약조건을 통한 휴리스틱을 이용하여 초기해에 대한 조정을 최소화할 수 있는 메카니즘을 제시하였다. 이에 대한 적용 결과는 실험을 통하여 기존의 논리 언어가 제공하는 탐색 알고리즘과 비교하고 분석하였다.

    인공신경망을 이용한 기업도예측에 관한 연구는 일반적으로 대기업을 대상으로 수행되고 있으며, 분석자료로는주로 재무제표에서 얻어지는 재무정보를 사용하고 있다. 이들 대기업의 재무정보들은 비교적양이 풍부하고 신뢰성이 높기 때문에 인공신경망을 이용한 도산예측의 적중률이 80%∼85%의 높은 수준을 보이고 있다. 하지만, 중소기업이 재무정보는 불충분할 뿐만 아니라 신뢰성이 낮을 가능성이 높기 때문에, 중소기업의 도산예측에 있어서 재무정보만을 사용하게 되면 그 정확도가 떨어지게 된다. 본 연구에서는 인공신경망을 이용한 중소기업의 도산예측에 있어서, 재무정보를 보완할 수 있는 비재무정보의 유용성을 검증하였다. 연구결과 본 연구에서 사용한 비재무정보가 획득가능한 비재무정보중 극히 일부에 지나지 않았음에도 불고하고, 재무정보만을 사용하였을 때보다 예측력이 10%정도나 향상되었다.

    Neural Networks have been advocated as an alternative to statistical forecasting methods. However, the empirical evidences are not consistent. In the present experiments, multi-layered perceptron (MLP) are adopted as approximator to the time series generating processes. To prevent the MLP from being overfitted to the given time series, the information obtained from ARMA modeling is used to determine the architecture of MLP. The proposed approach was tested empirically using the subsamples of the 111 time series used in the first Markridakis Competition. The forecasting results were analyzed to find out the factors that affect the performance of MLP. The experimental results show that the proposed approach outperforms ARMA models in terms of fitting and forecasting accuracy. In addition, it is found that the use of deseasonalized data improves the forecasting accuracy of MLP.
