A Case of Improved Tinnitus with Korean Medicine Treatment Combined with TMJ Balancing Therapy

Abstract

Objectives : This study aims to report a case that tinnitus was improved by Korean Medicine Treatment, combined with Temporomandibular Joint Balancing Therapy (TBT). Methods : The patient was treated with herbal medicine (Oryeong-san gami, Hyungbangjihwang-tang gami), acupuncture, and Chuna manual therapy for four months. Additionally, TMJ balancing therapy was applied using an intraoral balancing appliance. Data were collected retrospectively. Results : Tinnitus was improved by Korean medicine treatment with TBT. Conclusions : Korean medicine treatment with TBT may be effective for tinnitus patient.
