Research on Optimal Operation Plan for Parallel Operation of Marine Diesel Generator

선박용 디젤 발전기 병렬운전 최적 운영방안에 관한 연구

Abstract

In this paper, we discuss the optimal operation condition for parallel operating of marine diesel generators. When multiple diesel generators are synchronized, if the generators are synchronized while the output frequency and voltage of the generators are greatly different, the large difference in frequency and voltage can have a serious adverse effect on the electrical device and power system during this process. Therefore, optimized settings must be properly performed before the synchronization. However, in the actual field, it is highly dependent on the operator's experience and senses. In this paper, for the optimal performance in parallel operating, we discuss how to set the speed droop and voltage droop of each generator to maximize the efficiency without adverse effects on the power system based on experimental results through independent operation in the field.

본 논문에서는 선박용 디젤 발전기의 병렬운전 최적 운영방안에 관하여 논의하고자 한다. 여러 대의 디젤 발전기를 동기화하고자 할 때, 대상이 되는 발전기의 출력 주파수와 전압 등이 편차가 큰 상태에서 진행을 하게 되면, 기기 및 전력계통에 악영향을 초래할 수 있다. 그러므로 동기화 이전에 이러한 설정을 제대로 진행하여야 하나, 실제 현장에서는 운영자의 경험과 감각에 의존하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 실제 현장에서 단독운전을 통한 실험결과를 바탕으로, 각각 발전기의 속도조정률과 전압조정률 설정을 어떻게 하여야, 전력계통의 손상을 미치지 않고 효율을 극대화할 수 있는지에 대한 최적 운영방안에 대하여 논의하고자 한다.
