외모만족도와 사회적 유능감, 대인관계능력의 상관관계에 관한 연구 - 대학생을 중심으로 -

A Study on Correlations among Appearance Satisfaction, Social Competence, and Interpersonal Abilities - With a focus on college students -

초록

본 연구는 외모만족도, 사회적 유능감, 대인관계능력의 관계를 분석하여 대인관계능력 향상을 위한 기초자료를 제공하기 위하여 시도되었다. 2018년 12월 3일부터 7일까지 경기도 A대학교 학생을 대상으로 설문지를 이용하여 자료 수집하여 총 223명이 분석 대상이 되었다. 연구 결과 사회적 유능감은 대인관계능력, 외모만족과 상관관계를 보이는 것으로 나타나 사회적 유능감이 높을수록 대인관계능력이 좋고 외모만족도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 사회적 유능감, 대인 관계능력, 외모만족의 하위영역의 상관관계를 분석한 결과 대부분의 하위영역이 통계적으로 유의한 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 대학생의 사회적 유능감을 높이기 위해서는 대학생의 대인관계능력과 외모만족을 높일 수 있는 프로그램이 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

This study thus set out to analyze relations among appearance satisfaction, social competence, and interpersonal abilities and provide basic data to improve interpersonal abilities. For these purposes, the study collected data with a questionnaire and analyzed total 223 questionnaires. We collected the data from December 3 to 7, 2018. The study analyzed relations among social competence, interpersonal abilities, and appearance satisfaction and found that social competence had positive correlations with interpersonal abilities and appearance satisfaction, which indicates that higher social competence leads to better interpersonal relationships and higher appearance satisfaction.
