Abstract

In this study, we worked on a fiber structure containing ceramide and evaluated its impacts on the wet and dry-type atopic caused by the atopic dermatitis (AD) ointment and TNCB in the NC/Nga Mice. We also measured and evaluated the ability to control the enzyme activity in the DNA and RNA levels using the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay analysis, sensory evaluation, TWEL (transepidermal water loss) and moisture content measurements. We conducted a statistical analysis to assess the improvements in AD and the mitigation between the control groups using a histopathological analysis and the Western blotting evaluation. The amount of TWEL in the TNCB group, which is a wet-type atopicinduced group, was significantly higher than that in the dry-type AD-induced group. A serological analysis revealed a significant reduction of the Immunoglobulin E level in all the wearing groups (M-1, M2, C-1, C-2) compared to the negative control on the 35th day of the experiment. It was confirmed that the ceramide-contained 3-D fiber structure recovers and improves the skin barrier function among the Nc/Nga mice. The NC/Nga mice in-vivo results of the ceramide-containing 3-D fiber matrix are applicable in the design of customized skin care garments effective in relieving and improving the dry and wet-type AD.
