Comparison of Technical Elements applied in Eco-friendly Apartment Houses in Korea and Japan

초록

This study aims to review precedent researches on planning methodology and technical elements used in planning of eco-friendly residential complexes and to compare cases of Korea with those of Japan where eco-friendly planning techniques developed from projects such as environmental symbiosis housings are advanced and accumulated. Analysis of Japanese application of techniques showed that the -technical elements are well balanced in various aspects of environment-frienldy design and energy saving techniques wereas domestic cases showed that our efforts are rather focused on specific area such as solar and alternative energy, water circulation system and especially on formation of eco-environment and its link to the greens, afforestation, reconciliation with vicinity environment, etc. Recent tendency of domestic housing market where customers are willing to pay more for quality and high-rise housing projects prevail, adequate techniques of reproductive energy and eco-friendly building materials are required and at the same time functional efficiency of these elements is to be -enhanced.
