A Study on the Expansion for the Parking Lots in Deteriorated Apartments - A Case Study of the High-rise Apartments in Deajeon Area -

노후 아파트 주차장 확충방안에 관한 고찰 - 대전시 고층 노후아파트 사례를 중심으로 -

Abstract

The deteriorated apartments constructed before middle of 1990th is suffering from the lack of parking lots as well as the deteriorated facilities, because of low level of parking standards. The purpose of this study is to analyze the present situation of parking spaces and the user needs in the deteriorated high-rise apartments and to find out the appropriate solution to expand the parking lots. It is identified that the parking lots is definitely lack, that the residents suffer from difficulty of finding parking spaces, inconvenient access of urgent vehicles and insufficient open spaces, and that they have strong needs to improve parking conditions and are willing to spend resonable money expanding parking lots by the case studies of 5 deteriorated high-rise apartments in Deajeon area. The authors calculated the amount of parking lots to supply and the construction cost according to the type of parking lots, and suggested the available solutions of expanding parking lot comparing with residents' abilities of payment.
