Abstract
This study reviewed the quality enhancement effect depending on fine particle cement(FC) replacement ratios in order to review the applicability of blast furnace slag powder(BS) based recycled aggregates(RA) mortar in a general strength range, whose results can be summarized as follows: First of all, the flow increased as the FC contents increased because the BS and FC particles as well as RA create a continuous particle distribution, and the air contents also increased as the mix proportion and the FC contents increased. The compressive strength was highest at FC 80 % for mix proportion 1 : 2, at FC 60 % for mix proportion 1 : 4 and at FC 20 % for mix proportion 1 : 7 depending on FC contents, being higher at low FC contents as the mix proportion increased in the end. The flexural strength was generally similar to the compressive strength, and the pH characteristics increased due to alkali components of FC as the FC contents increased regardless of the mix proportion. As an efficient utilization plan of BS based RA mortar in a general strength range of 20~30 MPa, using it by replacing FC with BS in a 40~80 % range at a mortar mix proportion 1 : 4 can be an efficient, eco-friendly and economical production method of secondary concrete products such as cement mortar blocks, reinforced retaining wall lamination blocks, etc.
