A printed antenna for WLAN applications

A printed folded-monopole antenna for portable wireless applications is presented. The proposed design is based on the folded quarter-wave antennas, which have a conductor plate having two arms. A prototype antenna is fabricated according to the simulation result. The obtained antenna can perform in 2.4GHz band and be adopted for laptop applications. All the measurements are performed in the actual test fixture.

본 논문에서는 휴대용 무선통신기기에 응용 될 수 있는 유전체 기판에 인쇄된 접힌 모노폴(folded- monopole) 형태의 안테나가 소개 되었다. 제안된 디자인은 두개의 가지(branch)를 가지는 접힌 1/4파장(λ) 안테나를 모델로 개발 되었다. 수치해석으로 안테나의 파라미터들을 예측 하였고 그 결과에 따라 견본 안테나가 제작 되었다. 최적의 특성을 얻기 위해 몇 번의 수정을 거친 후에 본 논문에서 제안된 안테나가 제작 되었다. 본 논문에서 제안된 안테나는 2.4GH 주파수 대역에서 동작하고 주로 노트북PC에 장착되어 사용 될 수 있다. 제시된 모든 결과들은 실제 실험용 노트북PC에 장착된 상태에서 얻어진 것이다.
