We must establish the research institute that can develop the technology and must train a technical expert.

현재 렌즈제조업체의 실정은 여러 가지 요인으로 기술이나 기계설비, 투자가 위축되어 있으나 경쟁력 향상을 위해서는 좀더 과감한 투자가 필요하다. 제품의 신임도는 무엇보다 관리기술과 품질검사가 중요한데 외관검사와 내관검사는 육안이 아닌 현미경과 컴퓨터를 이용하여 과학적으로 해야하며, 강도검사는 자동차유리강도검사와 마찬가지로 안경렌즈의 파손시 신체에 부상이 없도록 해야 한다. 또한 안경렌즈의 원재료는 기술수준의 미비로 인해 모두 수입되고 있으므로 이를 극복하기 위해서는 기술개발이 가능한 연구기관을 설립하고 전문인력을 양성해야한다.
