Urothoe convexa, a New Gammarid Species from Korea (Amphipoda: Urothoidae)

Abstract

Urothoe convexa, a new spedes of gammaddean amphipods from Korea, is described and illustrated. The present new species is similar in morphology to U. carda from Bay of Nhat- rang, Vietnam. But, the palm of gnathopod 2 of the present species is more convex than that of U. carda.

전남 송호리에서 채집한 옆새우류 1종을 Urothoe convexa라고 명명하게 기재하였다. 이 종은 U. carda와 형태적으로 유사하나 제 2 악지의 손바닥이 U. carda의 그것보다 더 볼록하다.
