The Effects of Management Style on Job Satisfation and Library Performance in the Usm's Cook Memorial Library

The purpose of this study was to investigate the differential evidence of the effects of management style on job satisfactiori and library performance in the liriiversity of Souther~l Misiissippi's Cook hlcmorial Library. No significa~it hfferences were foutid between management style arid job sarisfartio~t or. between management style and selected performance characteristics of the library ill tlw study. But r l e professional group differed from the no~i-professiotial group on job satisfactiori at rlw 0. 10 levc! of significance. Specially, the professional group differed significantly from the non-profcssiorial group ill iut rinsic sources of job satisfactior, !at the 0.02 level of significancej.

본 연구는 Southem Mississippi 주립대학 도서관을 표본 도서관으로 하여 경영 방 식에 따른 업무 만족도 및 도서관 서비스의 효율성에 미치는 영향을 측정 분석하였다. 연구 결과 이들 세변수 사이에 작용하는 상관 관계에는 큰 의미를 부여할 수 없는 것으로 나타났 으나 전문직과 비전문직 사이의 변수는 큰 차이를 나타내고 있다.
