Abstract
Improvement of productivity in ethanol fermentation was attempted using a hollow fiber bioreactor (HFR) where Saccharomyces cerevisiac var. ellipsoideus cells were recycled to achieve a high yeast concentration. Industrial wort was used as the fermentation media without supplying any additional nutrients.
