Abstract
Mutagenesis of protoplast could serve a great potential tool for improvement of strains and genetics in higher fungi. For the isolation of auxotrophic mutants from protoplasts of Pleurotus ostreatus and Pleurotus florida, viability levels of ultraviolet lights were determined.
