Trends of Railway Communication Services based on LTE-R

LTE-R 기반 철도 통신 서비스 동향

In high speed railway system, LTE(Long Term Evolution) based LTE-R(LTE-Railray) mobile technology is used to supply various control signal required for safty operation of train. In this paper, railway communication technology be used in railway communication system based on LTE-R is investigated in focused on application services. Standardization trends for LTE-R technology are also considered. Results of this study can be used as basic data for research and development of LTE-R and railway mobile communication.

고속철도 시스템은 열차의 운행에 요구되는 각종 제어 신호의 공급을 위해 LTE(Long Term Evolution)를 기반으로 하는 LTE-R(LTE-Railway) 방식의 이동통신 기술을 사용하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 LTE-R 기반 철도통신시스템에서 사용되는 응용서비스를 중심으로 철도통신의 기술 동향에 대하여 살펴보고, LTE-R 기술의 표준화 동향에 대해서도 고찰해 본다. 본 연구의 결과는 LTE-R 및 철도 이동통신의 연구 및 개발에 있어 기본 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.
