For ESSD make progress to many researches internal and external. However we don't develop model for internal environment, research evaluation of ecological polis for this. The present research put in operation that make up question experts. In the event many people know necessity of ecological development. But It point out reality with many phases. One side we need to educate, publicize about environment. make good model and cultivate process.

현대의 지구환경은 무차별적인 산업화로 인한 공해로 오염되어가고 있다. 또한, 생태계 환경을 고려하지 못한 과밀화된 도시는 인간의 주거환경을 심각하게 위협하고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 '환경적으로 건전하고 지속가능한 개발(ESSD)'을 위하여 국내외에서 많은 연구를 진행하고 있다. 그러나 국내에서는 우리의 환경에 적합한 모델의 개발이나 이를 위한 계획요소의 연구가 이루어지지 않는 등 관련체계가 잡혀져 있지 않은 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 생태도시와 단지조성을 위한 생태적 계획요소에 대해 전문가 설문을 실시하였다. 많은 이들이 생태적인 개발에 대한 필요성은 인식하고 있지만, 아직 많은 부분에서 현실성이 부족하다는 것이 큰 문제점으로 지적되었다. 한편으로는 환경에 관한 교육과 홍보 및 성공적인 모델과 구축과정의 개발이 선행되어야 할 것으로 판단된다.
