Abstract
The synthesis and luminescent properties of trivalent europium activated gadolinium oxide red phosphors by sol-gel process have been investigated. Aqueous metal nitrate solution was mixed with EDTA which was chosen by the most suitable material of sol-gel formation as chelating agents.
